Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

The Matchmaker's Match, is Nicole Flockton's latest book offering. It is a nicely written contemporary romance that takes place in San Antonio, Texas. This is the third book from the author's Man's Best Friend series and it can be read as a standalone.

School teacher Meredith Turner, and K-9 Handler Lincoln Forrest, share a night of amazing sex and passion after meeting at a bar in San Diego. When they see each other again at the rehearsal dinner of their very best friends a week or so later, they are beyond shocked. In addition and simultaneously, Meredith experiences a health scare and Linc is the one who takes her to the hospital. Overtime, they develop their quasi-friendship into true love.

I liked this book and Ms. Flockton does a terrific job of developing the characters and plot. Meredith and Linc are hot, both in and out of the bedroom. I really liked Meredith's little dog Buster, because he was loaded with personality and charm. The last few chapter were especially exciting, with an epilogue that solidified Meredith and Linc's love.

Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Good main characters and supporting friends, Ethan and Isabella. Ethan is Lincoln's best friend and Isabella is Meredith's. I found out later that Ethan and Isabella have their own story in Book 1 called "Blind Date Bet". It also explains a bit more about the title for this book.
Two strangers meeting, being attracted and having a one-night stand has been written before. Also seeing each other again unexpectedly was explained in the information about the book. But then a major twist happens that I didn't see coming and you don't often see in a book. I liked those unexpected moments.
I liked both Meredith and Linc and wanted to see them get together for more than just a good time. Linc was a good guy, a solid kind of person who was there for Meredith even when things got tough. Meredith had been pushed aside so many times in her life that she had to struggle to find happiness. She was tired of being an after thought in people's lives. She wasn't that though in Isabella's life. And Isabella also helps pull her through some tough stuff when she needs help. Then the story kind of slowed down. Meredith in particular re-hashed some things over and over. That was done a bit longer than I would have liked.
Something else that I want to mention that I liked was the different dogs introduced into the story.
Towards the end of the book Meredith has her "moment of stupidity" that almost ends them. But a H.E.A. does happen for Meredith and Linc followed by a satisfying Epilogue.

The Matchmaker’s Match by Nicole Flockton
Man’s Best Friend #3

One night stands are meant to be just that but poor Meredith and Lincoln met again as maid of honor and best man at a wedding they both were in. The chemistry was still there but it was...awkward...and more awkward when both were surprised at the wedding rehearsal by an unexpected happening. The two do get off to a bumpy start but eventually do reach a HEA together.

I believe this is a book that will appeal to NA readers. I had trouble relating to either character as their problems were not ones relevant to me and perhaps this is reflected in my rating.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.

2-3 Stars

The Matchmaker's Match is a wonderful story about love after loss, and not giving up when everything seems to be going wrong. This is the 3rd book in the Man's Best Friend series and I've loved each story so far. The characters are great and I didn't want this story to end!

Meredith and Lincoln’s story was an interesting read, especially when a completely unexpected twist adds some pain and sorrow. Great writing here, gets your empathy going, your eyes misting.
In this one you not only root for the couple you find yourself rooting for the dogs to, I just wanted everyone to have a HEA.

Meredith/Mere had lived in a small Guatemalan town for the last year.she had been teaching kids from ages six to sixteen how to read. Now she was in a crowded hotel bar in San Diego on a Friday night. She felt this was what she needed. The next morning she was flying back to San Antonio to a different life than she thought she’d return to. Meredith had been dumped by Mark two days before she flew back. Than a man made a comment on her drink which was a cosmopopotion and she introduced herself. He’ brought up the tv show Sex And the City. The man bought her drink and . she introduced herself and held out her hand for a handshake. When he took her hand a strong spark of electricity went up her arm. Intensifying the already large spark of attraction. She had never felt like that when Mark touched her. The man’s name was Luke{Linc}. She had never done what she was about to do.ark confessed to cheating on her when he ended their relationship the second time, but she had taken him back. She should have stayed broken up with him. For the first time Meredith was going to take what she wanted and tonight she wanted Luke{ Linc} Isabella/Iz was Meredith’s best friend. Meredith leaned over and kissed him Lincoln thought this wasn’t what he was expecting when he walked in the bar. He liked his ability to live his life single and carefree. Linc had never responded so quick to a woman . He had never experienced the flare and intensity of desire before that he was currently feeling with Meredith. Meredith told him she wanted to go to his room. Linc thought maybe correct names weren’t that important for a one night stand. One month later Meredith was concentrating on having a good time at Izzy’s and Ethan’s wedding rehearsal dinner. Meredith was Izzy’s maid of honor and it turned out Linc who she had thought was Luke was the best man. Linc had matched Izzy and Ethan up. Meredith had gotten bad cramps at the dinner and Linc offered to take her home once outside the restaurant meredith had thrown up. Linc ended up taking her to a twenty four hour emergency clinic. Meredith found she was pregnant by Linc but it was atopic and could not proceed with the doctor gave her an injection and Linc took her home. Linc had an urge to buy a dog and then Meredith was near the same puppy and he said he was getting the puppy as he had been there first. They were told to leave and than Linc went back and signed to adopt Buster- the puppy. He went to pick him up and Meredith was there and he ended up giving the puppy to her. Luke had worked with dogs for ten years in the Army.
I loved this book. I loved meredith and Linc together and how they interacted. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved the relationship Izzy and Meredith had as well as Ethan and Lincoln. I loved the pace and the plot. I didn’t want to put this down and basically didn’t and finished it in one setting. It was such a sweet romance with just enough drama in it. I loved the characters and the ins and out of this book and I
highly recommend it.

The Matchmaker's Match is book three in the Man's Best Friend Series by Nicole Flockton. This is an author who can give the reader angst, drama and some special dogs. This book has strong ties to the first book in the series with the supporting characters being the main characters in this story. While it includes the wedding of Ethan and Isabella, it is not necessary to have read their story to fully understand this one.

Overall, it is an easy read that with a former military hero. The characters make progress in their personal growth as well as in their relationships. This is good because while I liked Meredith in the first book, she is a hot mess in this one. Many of her decisions were emotional based on her past. I guess I understood that to a certain extent but thought she was more together than that. Linc is at a crossroads in his life with good and bad decisions being made. While the characters have confusions and doubts, Buster and Mack, the dogs are near perfect.

This is the third book in this series and each book just gets better and better. This book is about Meredith and Lincoln. They meet one night in a hotel bar and the chemistry is hot. They end up having a one night stand and they both go their separate ways. About a month later they meet again at the wedding rehearsal for their mutual friends. The chemistry is still there between them. Both Meredith and Lincoln are at a cross roads in their lives and neither of them are sure where the future is going to take them. You add in a cute rescue dog and match making friends and you have yourself one very sweet, cute and romantic book. This book will keep you turning the page until the very last page. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lovely read with a nice touch of humour, prerequisite tension and lots of chemistry. Add a dog and for me it’s a sure win. A lovely read for a happy evening curled up, a book to make you feel warm and happy

Military romance books are usually my weakness, hot guy on the cover and a dog - just perfect. Linc was a cool guy, spot on with his feelings and being a gentleman but the scene in the shelter bothered me. I just felt his behavior and actions were mean, it took me a bit to get over it. Meredith is sweet, a young teacher recovering from a bad relationship. I feel she should have told Linc about her parents and even the ex boyfriend sooner. The dogs were a fun addition and added to the cuteness of their relationship. This was a fun story, a standalone, however I needed more zip in their coupledom. My copy was from Netgalley, review voluntary.

I like romances that involves dog and this was a very good one.
It's a sweet story with a good character development, likable and realistic characters, and a plot that keeps you hooked till the last page.
I found it engrossing and entertaining.
It's the first book I read by this author and it won't surely be the last.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

The Matchmaker's Match is a sweet tale of found love. These two characters are just meant to be. From an explosive one night stand to best man/maid of honor at a wedding and all the other things that bring these two together. I loved watching these two come together and heal each other. Linc was sigh worthy and Buster is just adorable.

This story had a lot going on, but in a good way. It starts with a one night stand between Lincoln and Meredith in San Diego. Little did they know they would soon meet again at a wedding in which they were both part of. Both characters were at a cross road in their life, so it was fun to see how that played out along with their growing romance.

This book kept me turning the pages anxious to see what happened next. The author did a great job with the character development and keeping the story interesting while maintaining the romantic aspect of it. It is part of a series, but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

Overall a good romance story. Lincoln meets Meredith at a bar, they have a one-night stand, she gets pregnant. So far, a typical formula. Then they meet at a wedding, not knowing the other knew their friends, and there is a typical embarrassed pause. The story then takes a different route, with her rushing to the hospital and losing the baby. A few twists, and a cute dog from the shelter, and the story continues. A bit more to go over a few rough patches in the story, for example the author could have described more why he was willing to be a donor, and why she felt the need to have a baby by herself, etc. Sorry my review is kinda wordy and rambling. I did enjoy this one overall, and it makes a good summer read. Would recommend.

Sadly "The Matchmaker's Match" wasn't speaking to me at all. There wasn't enough depth to the characters to keep me interested and the storyline was just boring. It didn't make sense sense to finish this despite the amount of appreciation I have for ARC from the author.

So this isn’t the first book of Ms. Flockton’s I’ve read. No-sir-ree-bob!! It’s like book 12 or 13. When I see that a new book is being released, to the TOP of my TBR list it goes!! So as you can guess, I like her books. Ms. Flockton’s writing style is a combination of sweetheart romance mixed with a bit of action, a splash of humor and but a load of dynamic characters. For me, it’s like curling up on a rainy day with a cup of tea and a fuzzy blanket. So I am not surprised that her newest book, the finale in her Man’s Best Friend series, is such a winner.

So what’s the story about you ask?? An ex-Army guy starting a new job that meets a beautiful woman in a hotel bar. Though neither is looking for any type of romantic entanglement, they cannot deny the sparks that fly between them. Fast forward, guy and girl meet again, sparks are still flying but fate is a fickle gal and she’s not going to make things easy for these two. So now I bet you’re wondering what happens next. Well, there’s a lot!! Matchmaking friends, romance, humor and the cutest dog whose antics are adorable.

In all fairness that little summary does not do justice for this book. Ms. Flockton is an author who takes the time and effort to write an engaging and heartfelt story that will surely draw readers in. Wonderful characters (both human and canine), witty repartee and just enough emotional turbulence to keep you flipping each page, this book is well worth picking up.

I think if Linc's woman told him to jump off a bridge he would, "Linc winked. “I don’t need to be told twice.” Meredith admired the view as he walked away, noting the faint red marks on his *** from where she’d grabbed him." I liked this book, I liked Linc.

The set-up for this novel is based on a very hard-to-believe coincidence. Meredith has a passionate one-one night stand in San Diego. And then she finds out that the guy whose name she mistakenly thought was Luke is really Lincoln Forrest and the best man in her best friend’s wedding for which she is the maid of honor in San Antonio. What are the odds that two random strangers in California are both scheduled to be in a wedding in Texas?

Once we get past that, Linc ends up being the sole person to help Meredith when she has a medical emergency. He is a really nice guy and she just keeps pushing him away. The rest of the novel was pretty predictable and I ended up not really caring for Meredith and her the weak motivations for her character.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I was excited to get a chance to read this book I enjoyed the first two books in the series and was looking forward to Lincoln's story.

This is a story of Meredith Turner who had a one night stand with Lincoln Forrrest and later finds out that he's the best man in her best friends wedding. To make matters worst she has to leave the rehearsal dinner early and Lincoln is the one that ends up helping her with a really personal problem.

Lincoln is looking for a new career after leaving the army. Helping Meredith with her problem has made Lincoln have an unexpected deeper connection with her. Trying to right the wrong he created he will do whatever is necessary. Can they hurdle over all the obstacles that are in their way and end up together or are they too much to overcome?

This was a great story I really loved it. They feel like real people and have real problems that people have. I really was rooting for them and wanted them to together. I really reccomend you read this book and series. Nicole is a great author who tells a great story. I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and here is my honest review.
