Easy Method of Acupuncture is a great manual. Even though it was written for professionals, it can be useful for the laymen also.

This was very interesting reading! I wanted to learn about acupuncture, although not try to do it on myself. After reading this, I think I might try going to a practitioner.

I was excited to read this book because I have long been interested in learning acupuncture. The book's title says Easy Method but do not be fooled, this is not light reading. It is a full course in itself though of course you would need an in person trainer to ensure the proper points.

This is a good reference material especially for those who are just starting to learn about acupuncture. I am surprised that there is more than one kind of style and that there are different kinds of needles. It is always interesting to learn about the meridians and how one part of the body is connected to the other so that a needle placed there can produce healing here.

I am a believer of acupuncture not just because a formerly bedridden grandma who had stage4 cancer was riding the train with me (and she was standing up, refusing to sit) - she testified that acupuncture helped her get well. This led me to try it for myself to heal hopefully benign cysts on my breasts. The doctor recommended 4 sessions but after only 2, i had a breast ultrasound and they could not find it and i could not palpate it anymore either. It was not this doctor, but a doctor in a hospital in my country but I just told that story to dispel any misconceptions that acupuncture does not work. That said, I appreciate the knowledge shared in this book as it will help me to be more informed the next time I find it necessary to get this treatment.

To be fair, my aunt also tried this in her country but she did not like it and it was too painful for her (mine was just a slight sting and a bit of muscle tenderness afterwards) so individual perceptions and different practitioners would also make a difference. It is important to note though that there are some cases where the patient feels worse before they start feeling better..and there are those that do not feel a difference.

The author knows his subject matter well enough to provide thorough details. The reader will just have to be patient because the simple formatting is not that visually appealing. I recommend reading through it a few times and to internalize the meridians especially. Practice locating the points with your finger while reading.
