Big Swinging D is book 2 in the Wall Street Royals series and I loved it! I have not read book 1 but plan to rectify that soon! It was fun, it was sexy. It was a great read! I loved it!

I was given an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a mix between 50 Shades and Crossfire; a widow has an meet-cute with a rich Wall Street tycoon who is into BDSM. The plot moves quickly and there isn’t as much smut as you’d expect from it. My only compliant is that it ends rather abruptly, I would have liked at least an epilogue to tie it together a little more.

Perfect intro to BDSM lifestyle story

I really enjoyed this book. I have read quite a few books in the past where the heroine first goes to a BDSM club or is interested in the lifestyle and she ends up in a situation that I feel uncomfortable with from the start (especially thinking from the POV of the heroine) but also just me as a reader. However, this story has Maggie meeting Isaac and working as his assistant prior to finding out he is a Dom, she is already attracted to him when he begins to show her “The Club” and the BDSM lifestyle.

It is written in a very sexy way as they communicate about it and get to know each other over a few weeks or months and I really liked the flow of the romance, the steamy sex scenes, and the overall story.

What do a control freak and a free spirit have in common? BDSM! Isaac is a rigid, structured Dom, who encounters Maggie in a most unexpected way. On a whim, Isaac offers Maggie a job as his personal assistant. She acccepts. Surprisingly she's great at it. Isaac can't stop his attraction to Maggie. Once Maggie discovers Isaac is a Dom, all bets are off! She wants to explore, and Isaac offers to introduce her to the scene. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this story. The ending was a little shocking, but well written. I would have enjoyed an epilogue, just cuz I'm nosey like that!

Light BDSM romance

I’ve read a number of Tara Sue Me’s other books and was excited to find “Big Swing D(BSD)”. Sadly I just don’t think it was as strong as her other stories. I’m not sure if it was the novella length or that she tried to add too many facets to it so none seemed as well developed as I expected.
I did enjoy the first meet between Isaac and Maggie but not sure their chemistry ever really sizzled.
However I do look forward to reading the next book in the Wall Street Royals series and will be go back to read book 1 “FOK” to see if having read that story might have improved my enjoyment of book 2.
I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.

An entertaining book of love, romance and Submission with a surprise at the end. Maggie Warren is a widow and needs to start living by finding a job when she runs right into Isaac Gregory. He's having a bad because he didn't take his Personal Assistant serious when she gave notice. After their run in Isaac offers Maggie the job and it gets very interesting from there.
Being a huge fan of Tara Sue Me I really enjoyed this Stand alone book.

Isaac and Maggie are a very cute couple with a lot of great chemistry. Unfortunately the story is very short and rushed without really leveraging the full potential. The story moves very rapidly from a first meeting into a BDSM tip your toes to a deep BDSM relationship (aka a few scenes) to a very quick and abrupt happy ending.

While this is definitely Maggie and Isaac's story, Isaac's partner comes in, brings Maggie into the club and just drops off the face of the earth never to be seen or spoken to again leaving me with that disjointed feeling.

I loved the "meet cute" at the beginning of this book and the light and funny relationship it launched. I was pleasantly surprised that the BDSM aspect of the book didn't weigh down or overtake the story. Well done!
Thanks to the author, publisher and #NetGalley for the opportunity to read this galley in return for an honest opinion. #BigSwingingD

An overall good read. A bit slow sometimes and I would’ve liked the ending to be a bit longer, but I enjoyed the characters and story. Will read more by the author!

***spoilers***

I have read the Date Dare by this author and loved it. Sadly this book fell flat.

It sounded so good and the beginning was great even the middle, but at 81 % it all seemed weird and rushed.
Why bring in Phillip? They didn’t have that much BDSM/sex and suddenly they’re both in love? I would have liked to know the ages of Maggie and Isaac and why a business man brings a chaotic woman into his organized life. It didn’t make sense to me.
Why make the last two chapters into an epic showdown and then have them snuggle up and profess their love for each other and then Boom! “The End”?!

Big Swinging D by Tara Sue Me is book Two in the Wall Street Royals Series. This is the story of Isaac Gregory and Maggie Warren. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Isaac is a leader on Wall Street, determined, focused, organized and a Dom in his private. Maggie is not focused, looses jobs, klutzy and is just the total opposite of Isaac. When Maggie tumbles into his life he is immediately attracted to her even though she isn't his usually type. When he learns she is between jobs, Isaac ends up offering a job that came open as his Personal Assistant. Of course this leads them to have more access to each other and start to learn more about the other person.
Loved their Story.

***I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley, After Six Publishing, and Tara Sue Me.***

I requested Big Swinging D, by Tara Sue Me, on a whim. I’ve never read anything by the author. After a chance meeting, Isaac offers Maggie a job as his assistant. The work well together, chemistry notwithstanding. The attraction becomes too much to ignore once she figures out his secret. He has a whole world he wants to introduce her to; she only has to trust him.

The relationship between Isaac and Maggie is unconventional from the very beginning. She’s quirky. He’s reserved and a bit stern. I guess I had trouble accepting and understanding why he’d invite a chaotic person into his business life. On the personal side of things, I could see he was drawn to her and she to him. I struggled to get into the story because we were only given the bare minimums of things: a peek into Maggie’s marriage, or Isaac’s Dom life or work life. It felt like most of the story barely scratched the surface, and I would have preferred a little bit more detail.

In the beginning, I had a really hard time getting into Maggie & Isaac’s story. It was slow paced for me. I did like Maggie & Isaac as characters. I did enjoy the banter between Maggie & Isaac.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

This just wasn’t for me. I couldn’t connect with the characters. The whole story felt very robotic. I was actually more interested in the divorced couple, Ty and Lillian. I didn’t feel any chemistry between Isaac and Maggie.

*i will not be posting to goodreads or amazon out of respect for the author.

Very good book. Sexy and sweet at the same time. You kinda fall a bit in love with both of the main characters. Very quick read because you don’t want to put it down.

Oh how I love the men of Wall Street. Isaac and Maggie find themselves in quite the predicament. Between the compost, her working for him, and then the exploration that commences. Tara Sue Me knows how to write erotic scenes and romance. Now I just need to get inside Lillian and Tys' heads to figure out what went wrong with them.
