A Fierce Princess by S.E. Rose is a Nice suspenseful romantic read. There is a lot of suspense and romance in the story. You won't be able to put it down.

A Five Star read.

This was a really good engaging story with great characters and a wonderfully built world.

It pulled me in really quickly and was difficult to put down.

Unfortunately it was really let down by the abrupt ending just trying to force you to buy the next book in the series.

This book was not for me at all. It sounded so interesting but once reading I just couldn't get into it. I did not finish this book at 40 percent.

I liked this, but I think it could have been better.
The premise sounded very appealing to me, I mean, who doesn't like a badass hacker princess with some romance thrown in the mix?
But here's my issue: the main focus was on the romance, while I wanted to see a lot more action.
And not that kind of action, because we got plenty of that, if you know what I mean lol.

Things started picking up by the end, and what a huge cliffhanger! I wasn't planning on picking up the second book, but I might just have to!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up this book, but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised to find a touching story about a princess who, after losing her mom, becomes a smart, daring woman, a hacker getting ready to rescue her prince. It's a fantasy with mystery, romance and a loving family that hooked me right away.

Poignant, eloquent, deliberate, and intricate. This novel contains all the aspects of a masterpiece. Weaving a tale of loss, love and betrayal it’ll keep you hanging till the cliffhanger at the last second.

I really wanted to enjoy a fierce princess. Their were times that I did, however the romantic events just felt so rushed. I was expecting a story about a royal princess who is trying to solve a mystery and a touch of romance that would lead into the second book. It's great if you want a short novel that has lots of sex scenes and a little mystery but I feel it could have been longer and the plot so much deeper between each sex scene. I would have found it so much more enjoyable that way. I also found it hard to get into after I put it down even with the story moving at it's own quick pace.
Honestly I'm not sure if I will pick up the second to find out the conclusion or not. I just want more of the plot that description gives. Overall it's not a bad story, it just wasn't necessarily the story I hoped for.

Susannah/princess/hacker....such a fierce princess. The blurb on this one caught my eye and I finished it pretty quick. That ending though was nothing but a cliffhanger. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers so I probably won’t read part two.

What did I like? I felt like this book was a slow burn and the cliffhanger ending was a downside. Susannah and Luke had a lukewarm relationship that didn’t feel like much because she is so cloistered.

Would I buy this book? No, sadly I did not like the lukewarm relationship.

Thoughts for the author : The characters had a time trying to draw my attention and the story was a little far fetched.

Loved this story, Suzanna/Suzy Q/ Anna was a new type of princess and I loved reading about her, she was no damsel in distress and I couldn’t have enjoyed reading about her more.

A fierce princess is the beginning of a duology full of mystery and passion. Its main character, and narrator in first person, is a princess who craves the freedom that she can't have. Susanna leads a double life, before her family she does what every princess has to do, but on the other hand she is a hacker who looks for the lost crown of her mother by the deep network. Our princess is a strong and impulsive person, raised with her two brothers fighting for what she wants, because it is not enough to be the demure and elegant princess that others want her to be.

In addition we meet Logan, narrator of the second part of the duology, a boy who unknowingly turns out to be a prince and for which they have put a price on his head. Susanna will try to help him and find out who is behind everything.

The part of the mystery and suspense is well done, and then we have the relationship that arises between the main characters. Maybe it was this last thing that I liked the least since there are some scenes that do not make much sense considering the situation in which they find themselves, in tension.

In general, the story is very good and the end almost gave me a heart attack. I'm looking forward to reading A valiant prince and see how it all ends.

I picked up A FIERCE PRINCESS on Netgalley because it sounded interesting and had the Sci Fi and Fantasy tag. I enjoyed it, but there wasn't any sci fi or fantasy to be seen. It does read a little like a fairytale, so maybe that's it?

I honestly don't know what I feel about A FIERCE PRINCESS. I read it, and enjoyed it, but when I look back I can see that it was just one of those reads I read because it was on my review list. If I would have purchased it, I might have been disappointed.

So, what I liked:

- I loved that Susanna was a princess with a secret hacker side. She was likable and I had no problem being in her head.

- The author did a good job portraying the emotions behind the death of Susanna's mother.

- Susanna's brothers were a nice addition to the story.

What I didn't like:

- Susanna thought she was some secret agent that could save someone from an assassin with no information to back that up. I mean, if she was some bad-ass that fights crime in her free time instead of a hacker I could see it. It just seemed really weird that she thought she was going to save him on a whim.

- The insta-romance was just ok. I didn't feel like we got to know Logan and I didn't feel like there was any development to make it more real. It just was with no real lead up.

- We get a bit of a slow start, then lots of stuff happening at once. No in between.

A FIERCE PRINCESS ends quite abruptly with a cliffhanger. I would love to say that I HAVE to read the next book, but besides wanting to know a little about what happens next, It's not going to be a must read for me.

This definitely piqued my interest from the start. What isn’t exciting about a rebellious princess?? Am I right? The suspense continues to build through to the end when we reach the epic cliffy.

Princess Susanna isn’t your typical princess. No, she has a hidden side that is nothing expected or accepted of a royal- especially not a princess.

She has a curiosity and intelligence about her that just puts her in a league of her own. And with that curiosity she gets herself trapped in a web where she and everyone she loves is now in danger. But see, she’s not just a smart rebel- she’s brave. And these events that start to unfold only shows those around her just how brave she truly is.

I was enthralled with this story the whole time. Susanna’s story is a new kind of “princess” story for the modern girls. Less fairytale and more badass.

Reading the synopsis of this book I was intrigued and felt this could be something different from the usual romance novels. I was right. Totally loved Anna and just couldn't put the book down. The plot line was well developed and I just can't wait for the next book. It is a cliffhanger, which I normally don't like but I have to say that I know it will be worth it. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

'She maybe tiny, but she is fierce'.
I loved the spunky and fiery personality of our female lead, Anna. The writing is exquisite and the character development is well done from beginning to end. Anxiously awaiting book 2.

A Fierce Princess is book 1 of a duet, book 2 is called A Valiant Prince and I really want it now.

Susanna is a princess, she does her dutiful stuff, but she also has a hidden side - shes a whizz on the computer, it's not always easy as it is done in secret and can put her in danger.

I really liked Susanna she is royal but a rebel too, her relationship with her brothers was endearing and they both seem to have their own little secrets. Auggie is the most fun loving but Chris is fun too but being first in line to the throne has a more serious edge to him.

Logan is a charming Yacht captain, and it becomes obvious that there is a pull between him and the princess.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the storyline and characters kept me captivated and page-turning until the last page.

Bring on book 2 ASAP, as there is a bit of a cliffy!

5+ Stars

This is one of the best books I’ve read in 2019! I am positively stunned! Ahhhh! I need book two immediately!

Susanna is not a typical princess by any means. Yes, she can be polite and refined when she needs to be, but she’s also fierce and a brilliant hacker. I admire her bravery and her determination to live life on her own terms as much as possible.

Logan is strong and brave as well, much what you would expect of a prince...except that he doesn’t know he’s a prince! I honestly couldn’t find a single fault with him. He is positively swoon worthy.
The plot is angst ridden and action packed. I was spellbound throughout the book and found it difficult to put down. I’m still guessing at who M is and then second guessing myself.

I am anxiously awaiting book two; it can’t be published fast enough! I need to know that Susanna and Logan are alright. At least I really hope they are! SE Rose, you’re killing me with the suspense!

This is Book 1 and it ends in a cliffhanger!

Wow, this was a fast paced book about a princess slash hacker/spy “Anna” that since the death of her mother is trying to find the missing tiara. When she stumbles upon a message in the dark web for a hit on a certain Logan Winters, a nobody, she can’t stop getting more information and finding out who he really is. She wants to rescue him and she’ll need the help of her brothers. And maybe clue in the King after...
I can’t wait for book 2!

A Fierce Princess is Part 1 in The Poisoned Pawn Duet. The book grabs your interest from the first page and am happy to say keeps you entertained until the last page, then you get a sneak preview of Part 2 and it certainly leaves you with the impression that it is going to be as entertaining as Part 1.

Princess Susanna lost her Mother in a car accident when she was 7. When she was 13, Anna became obsessed with trying to solve the mystery of the missing Tiara that her Mother was wearing when she was killed.

Anna is highly skilled with computers and she uses these skills in her endeavours to right wrongs, but while scanning her findings, she gets more than she bargained for when she comes across a plot for an assassination attempt that is going to go down.

What she didn't bargain for was finding love and keeping that love safe.

Excellent book by SE Rose and will definitely be reading Part 2.

Thanks to NetGalley and Author Collective 20 for the opportunity to read, review and recommend this book.

I loved this book, fast paced and fun and as the title suggests with a fierce female lead. I loved ‘Anna’ and Logan, they are great relatable and more importantly likeable characters you can feel for. This does end on a cliffhanger though, so I really need book two. Highly recommended.
