“Down to Deep” by J. Daniels was a pleasant surprise! I’ve never read anything by this author! I didn’t expect this book to work it’s way so fiercely into my heart. With adorable characters, just enough steam, and the makings of a perfect book boyfriend, I was head over heels for this one!

Nathan, a widowed restaurant owner, is in need of a babysitter after coming to terms with the loss of his wife. Jenna, a single mom with two twins just happens to fall into Nathan’s lap and be the babysitter he so desperately needs.

As the two grow closer they both start to realize their connection as a couple and as a “complete” family is undeniable.

This book has the perfect mix of sweet and sexy and Daniels gives every character, including the children, strong, expressive, and lovable personalities. I fell so hard for Nathan. He was perfect parts sexy, rugged, complimentary, gentleman, and professional. I didn’t want this to end! If you want a heartwarming romance “Down to Deep” comes out October 8th, 2019! Go get it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5 stars)
🔥🔥🔥🔥(4/5 steam level)

How do you talk about a book that does all the talking between its covers? How do you encourage readers to read a book when you can't even find the words appropriate enough to express how good it is? I really just want to grab a megaphone and shout it from the top of the Empire State Building. But even that wouldn't be good enough. This book speaks for itself and you just need to read it.

I haven't read the other books in this series, so I didn't know Nate as the depressed restaurant owner. God, did he break my heart. He was just a shell of a man, going through the motions. He was existing, not living. Not even for his two-year-old daughter. Happenstance brings Jenna into his life and his entire world is rocked. I loved Nate so hard. His character arc was perfectly written and executed. It was authentic and believable. Nate is someone I want to know.

Jenna was rocking it a single mom. She was both mom and dad for her adorable twins, but what I really loved was that she wasn't this single mom who needed a man to pull her up. Jenna was the woman to do that for Nate. She was strong and independent, and she loved fiercely. I have a major woman crush on Jenna.

This was, and will be, the best book of 2019. It's already crawled up near the top of the best books I've read...ever. I wish I could tell you why, but I just don't have the words. This is a story you need to experience. I wouldn't change one word of this book. It was complete and total perfection. I felt every word deep in my soul. You need to lose yourself in these words and their lives to fully comprehend how beautiful a love story it is. Down too Deep is, without question, J. Daniels best book to date.

I really enjoyed the majority of Down Too Deep. It’s the story of two single parents. I don’t usually seek out single parents stories, but maybe I should more often. The kids made this book so much cuter and more enjoyable. This book was 5 stars for me until the last 25-30%. It killed the vibe of the rest of the story. It made me think about where the book I was really enjoying went. I still liked the book and the epilogue was cute. Trigger warning: the hero is widowed because his wife committed suicide.

I voluntarily read an early copy from Forever Romance.

This book was my most anticipated read of this year. After binge reading the first 3 books in the series I couldn’t believe I had to wait so long for this amazing story to be released. Thanks to the heavens above and Estelle from Forever my wish was granted. Little snippets of Nate and Jenna are spread throughout the three previous books and I was beyond thrilled when I found out that they were getting their own book. Nate is a single dad and widower and Jenna is a single mum to twins. Knowing Nate needs help Jenna offers her service to help Nate with Marley whilst he works. Jenna and her twins Olivia and Oliver fall in love with Marley and Nate. Throughout the book you see Nate come out of his shell and become a father figure to Marley as he had struggled in the past. Jenna has raised her kids on her own from a young age and wanted to help Nate because that’s just the type of person she is. They become the perfect family. Single parent books are my kryptonite and this book was everything. I’m sad that there will be no more books in the series but I am happy with how it ended

I expected to like this book because I had read other books by this author a while ago. But I didn't just like it, I loved it. I was immediately sucked in by this endearing, relatable, and funny story. Dan, a widower who is struggling to keep it together as a dad after his wife's suicide, need all the help he can get and Jenna, a single mom with twins, is the one to help him. They have great chemistry and they are so, so easy to root for. Daniels' character development is spot on, their reactions, their dialogues, they are all just right. But this book really shines above other similar ones when it comes to the portrayal of the kids: they felt just as developed and realistic as Dan and Jenna. So, you get the romance, you get the steamy scenes (they're good!), but above all this is a love story about 5 people who are meant to be in each other's lives.

All the love for Nathan and Jenna!!! Oh my goodness did J. Daniels just write her heart out here!! Two single parents, brought together by need. Three kids between them that were more adorable than I could stand. One crazy amount of amazing chemistry and passion that had me rooting for this couple from the start!!

I’ve wanted this story since the first book I read in this Dirty Deeds series. An absolute, can’t stop reading series for me with so much laughter, heartache, heat and passion combined. This final book in the series, I’m not ready to say goodbye really, just was simply perfect. You get all my faves making appearances (though I woulda loved a bit more of Stitch), you get more happy moments with the couples. But the most important is we finally get all of Nate’s story, and man oh man did it cue the tears for me. Besides that though, we get to see Jenna finding hope for a future. Her adorable twins connecting with a father figure in Nate. We also get Nate finding his way as a dad, and finding that his heart still has more love to give.

It was simply perfect for me. Total winner and needs all the stars!!

I loved this book until the end. I thought that the author did a great job with the character development and the relationship between the main characters.

It was incredibly sweet and heartfelt. My only issue I had with the book was the ending. It seemed like the author made unnecessary drama for this couple at the end.

A predictable yet sweet and fast paced read that you couldn’t help but adore and fall a little in love with.

OMGGG. I LOVED THIS BOOK SOO MUCH!!! It's got everything that I love in a book. I'm the biggest sucker for single parent romances. Give me two single parents and well it's, game over. OMG, the kids *sigh* they bring so much to this story. I feel in love with them instantly. Jenna's kids are so much fun. I loved watching them bond so well with Nathan and his daughter Marley. Nathen has had his life turned upside down and left him broken. I loved watching him become an amazing father. And, he's every bit of the man Jenna needs him to be. My heart was overflowing with feelings on this one. They face a few bumps along the road but, it's a dang sweet ride.

Wow! I loved this one and finished it in one sitting. It had me feeling all the feels as it discussed difficult subjects. This book has mental illness, suicide (TW), and an absentee father and that just touches on a small amount of what's going on in this book. Even with all of that, the love story is one that will have you swooning and unable to put this one down.

These two single parents were alone, but they ended up leaning on each other as the summer went on. Both are missing having a family so they find themselves easily falling into a routine and falling in love with the other person's kid(s). While they make mistakes along the way, the love they feel.for each other is genuine.

I loved the characters and the pacing of this romance was perfect. This was my first single parents romance (I know, shocking), but it definitely won't be my last. Even though this was the fourth book in the series, I had no trouble following along and have already added the others to my TBR. This is definitely one of those books you don't want to miss.

OMG I can't believe this series is over. I have been reading this series since 2016 and I have been looking forward to this book ever since then when the characters were introduced.

Each book of this series can be read as a standalone. If you want to get the most of this book, then read book 1 in the series since it's a siblings story.

I loved Nate and Jenna's story. Loved the kids and their role in the relationship. Love how the relationship built on each other. I loved the epilogue and it left me wanting more.

I did have a mini-book hangover thanks to this book.

Fans of Christina Lauren and Colleen Hoover will love this sexy and emotional fourth book in the New York Times bestselling Dirty Deeds series.

Falling in love forces Nathan to face his biggest fear, and when hearts, both big and little, are on the line, the only thing scarier than needing someone is losing them all.

My thoughts

Would I recommend it? yes

Would I read the rest of the series? yes

Would I read anything else by this author? yes

This is my first time reading anything by this author and will its port of a series i got lost in the story , its a story about how much a single father loves his daughter but has no idea how to connect with her in anyway , then he meets Jenna a single mother of twins and not only finds it himself to show his daughter that he loves her but also that's its ok to fell back in love with someone else. So if single parent romances is one of your favorite romances then this might be for you . As for reading it I had no trouble reading it by itself without reading the rest of the series but if you want to then go ahead and read them in the order they came out in, either way I'm going to be reading the rest of the series when I can, because the author has a way of telling her story and bring together her main characters in a slow burning romance , while at first sight they do have insta-attention for each other and you can see it and not only feel it , to me its was slow because they didn't want to get hurt again , with that said I want to thank Netgalley and Forever for letting me read and review it exchange for my honest opinion

I loved this book so hard.
Single dad? Check.
Single mum? Check.
Undeniable attraction? Check.
Absolutely amazing? Check.
Seriously this book was so amazing, it was sweet and heartbreaking but it also had a feel good factor, Nathan was in a deep rut that he didn't know a way out of but he knew he was in deep just didn't know how or where to climb out of it.
Jenna i loved, she was a single mum to her twins and she had such a big heart. When she started looking after Marley she had no clue how much that little girl would become such a big part of her life.
Nathan and Jenna's story was so beautiful it was two people with their kida becoming one big family over time.
I loved how Jenna was with Marley and how Nathan was with Olivia and Oliver! It was cute AF.
I've read the first two books and not the third for some reason so i need to go back to that but this one was so good, so worth the read!

Down too Deep is the 4th standalone in the Dirty Deeds series.

What do I say about this book to give it the justice it deserves? It's truly gorgeous. A single parent romance about heartache, learning to love again, and connecting with those that mean the most to you. J. Daniels has swept me off my feet with this one and I am absolutely thrilled to have been able to read an early copy of this novel so I can rave about it to the world!

I absolutely loved this book, not only because of the couple, but also because of the adorable kids. It was well worth the wait!

Nathan Bell is the owner of Whitecaps restaurant so we have seen him in previous stories. He is a workaholic and has been burying his guilt and grief of his wife's death in work and alcohol, while also neglecting to connect with his toddler daughter. But when his parents decide it is time for him to take responsibility and get his life back on track. It is a much needed rude awakening. He is angry, lost, confused, and ashamed.

Just as he is drowning, it seems an angel is sent his way. Jenna Savage has been friends with women that work at his restaurant and just happens to be there when needed. She is a single mom of eight-year-old twins, Oliver and Olivia. And her unexpected offer to assist in babysitting his daughter over the summer is a Godsend for him. She is patient, kind, selfless, protective, and seriously saved him from going under.

But he had no idea how much they would also change him. Coming home to a family environment and having Jenna's guiding hand as he reconnects with his daughter changes his outlook. And he begins to see who he had become and what he really wants out of life. His new nanny is quite a temptation. Her kids are enchanting. His daughter is adorable. And he finds himself wanting more time, more moments, and more with Jenna. But there will be some complications and bumps along the way.

It brings back old friends especially her brother, Brian and his fiancee', Sydney (Four Letter Word), but Tori and Jamie (Hit the Spot), Shay and Stitch (Bad for You), and Kali also pop in. But it can be read as a standalone as well.

This is an engaging, heartfelt, emotional story of friendship, love, and family. I love the single parents trope and they were adorably awkward at times. It is about taking a risk and building trust. I just loved Nate and Jenna together. She was such a mama bear. And even though he had some internal battles, fears, and made some mistakes, he had a big heart and was determined. They really balanced each other and were both so loving and fun together. My heart swelled watching Nate fall so in love with his baby girl, and seeing how he could be a positive male figure to her twins. They were seriously the cutest meshed up family...but they had to go through some bad times to see if it could work out for them all in the end. My heart hurt at times, but I also smiled, laughed, and swooned.

A great touching emotional read. Two single parents, three beautiful children and an exceptional story on love and family.
My heart died for Nathan and all I wanted to do was hug the beautiful man. Suddenly he’s a single father and he’s lost , trying to find his way back to his daughter and life.
Marley is a single mother of twins who will steal your heart. Their father not around they are desperately wanting to be a family.
This is an amazing read, the children, all three of them will have you laughing. I loved the story, the writing was phenomenal and I couldn’t put it down.

You guys!! J. Daniel's Dirty Deeds series is full of swoons and emotions. Down Too Deep is another stellar addition to this series. I was overcome with all the feels and loved Nathan and Jenna so much!

This story was very honest and emotional and it showcased a man's deep love for his little girl and the woman who steadfastly shook up his entire world to steady his. I just loved Nathan so much. He was rocked by the sudden death of his wife and now almost two years later, realizes he needs to lift his head out of the sand and take care of his two-year old daughter. He has neither a clue nor a direction but enter Jenna Savage, a single mother of twins, who comes to his rescue. With a steady hand and under Jenna's direction Nathan is able to finally connect with his daughter and set his priorities straight, while also falling in love with Jenna and her children.

This wouldn't be a J. Daniel's story without some delicious romance and some potent chemistry. Nathan and Jenna were sweet and sexy with a side of adorable and while I did find the story to be very insta-love/attraction and low angst, this was a solid read!

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review! 4 stars! ~Ratula

This was so sweet! To read the description, I wasn’t 100% sold, just because single parents romance isn’t something I seek out, but I knew that the storytelling would be good. And it was! J. Daniels is great at creating characters you can really dive into and adore. Jenna did seem almost a bit too perfect at times, but she was great for Nathan. I really enjoyed their interactions and felt like she genuinely wanted to help him, selflessly. Nathan was damaged to say the least - and I loved watching him begin to heal. His interactions with Olivia were my favourite and when the notes she was making in her little notebook were revealed, I teared the hell up big time. I love this little family so much! Glad this one could be enjoyed as a stand-alone; now I need to go back and read the rest of the series 🥰

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited to find out that we were getting another book in this series, and that it meant we got to learn about the elusive Nate. And let me tell you, this book was sure worth the wait!

I had no idea that Nate had a little girl. I don't remember if it was mentioned in previous books (my book memory is terrible sometimes), so I was very keen to find out the whole story of his past. When his little girl Marley is brought back into his life full time, Nate also runs into Jenna, who we know from previous books in the series. She ends up working for him as Marley's nanny for the summer and this is where we really start to get to know both of these characters.

I loveddddd Jenna and her kids. Olivia and Oliver are the sweetest twins you will ever meet. These two were a huge part of the story for me, and I loved how Jenna has raised them, and then later on how Nate interacted with them. Little Marley is the cutest thing ever as well, and she forms an instant bond with Jenna and the kids.

Among all this, a friendship and possibly more, strikes up between Nate and Jenna, and even the twins are falling for him. Sometimes I wished Nate wouldn't be so frustrating, but given his past and how he was dealing with it, this was also understandable. Of course, as with every romance novel, things eventually come to a head, and our characters truths come out.

We get plenty of our fave characters from the previous books, acting as secondary characters in this one, and that makes it lots of fun as well. Between the adorable kids, the fantastic main characters, and the world that J Daniels has created in this town, I was unable to put this book down, and fell completely and utterly in love with these guys. There's so much to love about this story, and I highly recommend. I'd also love to see more of this world in the future!

Since Down Too Down was announced, I’d been dying to get my hands on this story! When I received the news that I got an ARC, I was overjoyed! There’s something so magical about J. Daniels’s books and Down Too Deep is another one of those little gems! As much as I treasured the previous novels in the Dirty Deeds Series, this one is without a doubt my new favorite! This story is charged with all the feels and I had a constant smile on my face throughout my read from the beauty of it! Days after, I just can’t stop thinking about Nathan, Jenna and the kids!

Jenna is such a beautiful and good person! She’s an amazing mom for her twins, Olivia and Oliver! She’s been raising them alone for eight years truly enjoying being a mother, but there’s something missing in her life: romantic love! She’s really caring and when she sees Nathan struggling with his work versus father duties, she jumps to save the day by offering to babysit little Marley! She soon grows attached to that sweet girl and her daddy.

Nate had me swooning and completely charmed by his personality! But I also shed some tears for this grieving man! The tragic loss of his wife two years earlier damaged him and his almost non-existent relationship with his daughter touched me deeply! Nate wants to know Marley, but his sorrow made him withdraw from her for her first two years of life and he doesn’t know how to break this distance. I loved how Jenna helps him develop a beautiful connection with his daughter!

The twins, Olivia and Oliver also bring another dimension to this story! They’re amazing children and effortlessly grow an attachment to Nate that is mutual! Their relationship is adorable and made me so happy for them.

Jenna and Nathan have an undisputable magnetism that is pure perfection! I enjoyed how they build a stunning friendship that smoothly blossoms into love! Seriously, the tension between those two from all the sexual frustration had me breathless. The flirty and playful discussions between them are everything! Their relationship is mostly sweet and gorgeous, but when they finally unveil their feelings and desire they’re scorching hot and it’s also emotional! This couple left me covered in goosebumps with my heart beating so fast in my chest! All their scenes together are remarkable !

Down Too Deep is a must read that put me in a bubble of bliss for this couple and the kids! I enjoyed seeing the gang of Dogwood Beach, even if I would have liked to see them a little more! J. Daniels enraptured me with this lovely romance bursting with emotion that got to me profoundly! This is without a doubt a top read for me in 2019!!!!
