I need to know what comes next!
This chapter excerpt is a fantastic hook. I read it first in Buzz 2019 romance and again in this galley.
I was obsessed with planners, and pens and stickers in 2016 and 2017, so I get this story.
Plus there's a hint of some magical realism in there. I want to read more.

Hard to tell from the brief excerpt, but this book seems to have very appealing characters. I love the premise, and hope it is carried out well.

The first chapter makes me excited for the full book. I will be adding to my list of books to read ASAP once it is out. Can’t wait to read more!

This excerpt from Love Lettering has me chewing my nails waiting for the book. We only received the first chapter here, but it absolutely threw down enough information to have me intrigued! The premise appears to be the story of a successful calligrapher who has recently left the "wedding" business for more lucrative ventures. However, on a fluke she is filling in at her old job and a previous groom drops by. Apparently there was an unspoken attraction between them and now he's there to get some questions answered. I can't wait to get my hands on this complete book!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington for this ARC excerpt.

I'm so sad that this is only an excerpt! I tore through it and am eagerly anticipating the rest of the book. Hope it comes soon!

This is only the first chapter but I'm so intrigued by this story, I really want more! I like the idea of an upscale calligrapher who hides messages in her work as it's novel and interesting. Will definitely be reading the rest as soon as I can.

Sometimes you read a book that hits all the marks. You love the premise (it's original). You love the characters and the setting. You enjoy the banter and the dialogue and it gives you all the feels. Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn PROVIDES!
This is my first book by Clayborn, but I am going to hunt down her backlist.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington for the ARC of this title.

I can't review this book because this is only the first chapter.
I can't really rate it either for the same reason. I have given it 1 star due to disappointment it's not the whole book but it's not a reflection of the book.
I haven't posted this anywhere because it's just the first chapter and I'm not going to review one chapter of a book.

4 stars (Review of first chapter only)
I read the first chapter thanks to Netgalley and am dying for more! I haven't read Kate Clayborn before and this was a great way to get a feel for her writing style. The blurb already had me hooked, but the chapter excerpt sealed the deal. I can't wait to find out more about Meg, Reid, and their unique connection.
*I voluntarily read an advance excerpt of this book*

"Love Lettering" Chapter 1
This was a teaser for sure. It did not register that this was a first chapter teaser when I requested the opportunity to read this story. It will be interesting where the story goes from here. Maybe I will have the chance to find out. As it just maybe worth the read when the rest of the book is available.

I received the first chapter of the book for review.
I'm really excited to read the full version of this book. I've read a number of books by Kate Clayborn and she's really good at setting up who the characters are really early on in her books which is clear here. While we don't get to learn too much about the hero of this book, it's quite clear who Meg is as a person. I don't fully understand how her job actually works, but it seems like a job that probably needs more than a chapter to explain even with context clues.
Overall, this book, and especially the cliffhanger for the first chapter are intriguing and I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

I didn't realize this was just a preview, not interested in that. I will check back for the full version.

To start off, I must admit that I love calligraphy. I was very intrigued with the premise of Love Lettering. The first chapter flew by, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book., and following Meg and Reid's story.

Initially I felt Meg just went on and on about lettering, I understand that is what her profession is built upon but once there is more detail about her career growth, I think her character started becoming more likable for me. I am already eager to know how she got where she is both personally and professionally.
Reid definitely sounded like the classic hero of romance novels and I was absolutely devastated when he poses the question to Meg and the excerpt ended. The tension between the two characters right within this small part had me totally hooked. Definitely looking forward to read more!
Now I will have to until next year to read this one.

Wonderful first chapter. We never really know who we are meeting with and what they know about us even when we think they know nothing. Looking forward to what happens next for Meg and Reid.

Welp, I have been in a book slump....so I picked up Love Lettering. Simply put, I forgot this was a sample only. Cue the tears. I want to finish this book. I want to sit down and read it in one sitting. That is all from chapter 1 by the way.
Can't wait to finish this one.

4* Promising Stars
This is the first time that I have only read 1 chapter of a book with the promise of more to come closer to the release date. It was a great teaser and I am looking forward to reading Meg and Reid’s story and Meg’s unique ability to see what other can’t.
Many thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this Excerpt.

I actually am interested in this book now!! I want to know how she knew and how he knew she knew. I’ll have to pick this one up now.

I'm certainly intrigued by this excerpt and am eager to get my hands on the complete book.
It was a little hard to understand exactly what was happening / what exactly Meg does for a job - past and present. A little more clarity going in would be ideal, but this has some real promise!
(ARC kindly provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review)

I read the excerpt and look forward to finding out what happens next! Kate Clayborn sneakily lured me in. I'm still surprised that it was only an excerpt - a first for me on NetGalley. I hope I get a chance to read on....
