This just a short excerpt of the book. I like the idea behind the book and it was enough to make me want to continue reading this story about friends thru everything both good and bad.

There was only a couple of chapters available and it was definitely intriguing. Ill have to pick it up once it's released.

Did not realize this was just the excerpt. Hope to read the entire book when it is released as an ARC.

This is an excerpt for this book.
It is a story of friends and their journey together. The hard parts, the good parts, the real like events.
I look forward to finishing this book. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy. This is my own opinion

I received a free excerpt of The Sunday Potluck Club #1 by Melissa Storm from NetGalley for my honest review.

I didn't realize it was just an excerpt when I received this. The Sunday Potluck Club is a group of four women who are bound together by the death of someone important in their lives. It is aa story of their friendship and the support they give to each other.

This is an excerpt for the book which comes out in May 2020. I thought the concept of the book sounded like it would be good....strangers becoming friends because of cancer diagnosis, but I was disappointed. I didn't feel the characters had much depth or were especially likeable. so I never really felt invested in any of their stories.

I really enjoyed this excerpt from The Sunday Potluck Club, by Melissa Storm. The characters are likeable and very relatable, and it’s a unique premise for a novel. I like that the women have an oath to allow each other the grieve in their own natural way, but that they still naturally struggle sometimes with how to be there for one another. I did find that sometimes the inner monologue of the narrator went on a bit long, but it was minor and just a personal preference for me. The book seems honest and authentic, and I am excited to eventually find out what happens to this group of ladies!

Such a easy reading writing style! I only had access to the first few chapters but I would be really interested in reading and reviewing the entire book early next year.

Amy, the main character, is a little hard to like. It understand that she’s grieving. It she seems judgmental about everyone around her. The lingering sadness is written well but makes it hard to power through, and this was only a short excerpt.

So sad that this is only a small excerpt. I didn’t realize it when I requested, but no problem. I finished it very fast, and it left me longing for the rest of it. Can’t wait!!

So disappointed this was only a small portion of the book. I feel so robbed because I wasn't aware of this until I looked down and saw I only had 45 minutes left in the book way too soon.

I can't wait to be able to finish it as soon as it comes out. I usually read thrillers bout like to give my mind a break from time to time and this will be the perfect escape.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC tease of a great book in exchange for my honest opinion.

In the excerpt that I read I found the storyline to feel almost forced and stilted. Just when I was starting to warm up to the characters the excerpt ended. But I don't find myself intrigued enough by the women in this story to want to read more.

LOVED this book! It was so sweet, heartfelt, and full of life and love. I didn't go into it thinking that this was the perfect Valentine's Day book, but it is!

I really wanted to like this book, and to me it fell a little bit flat. The writing was good I just couldn't connect to the characters as much as I wanted to!

Amy is the 2nd-grade teacher, Bridget is still going to school to be a vet. The journey of their friendship is touching, there are many tears and lots of laughter. Their friendship started in a cancer ward and flourished from there. They start to connect with other grieving women and they are members of The Sunday Potluck Club.

I was given this book by Netgalley to read, for an honest review.
I am so glad that I was approved for this book, it will have you crying, laughing, and feeling like you are apart of the story. We all deal with something rough in life, and it helps to have an amazing support system of others who can relate to what you're dealing with.

This preview for the full book gives us a glimpse into the lives of 4 women who met at the hospital as their beloved parents were undergoing chemo treatments. Each woman has their own way of dealing with their grief. I look forward to reading the full version of the book after publication.
Well this is a preview of the book which I did not realize. I was provided an e-copy from NetGalley. The opinions posted are mine and not required.
