A well written story all around! Always been a fan of the YA genre and this did not disappoint. Would recommend!

I wanted this to be adorable cute rom-com but it was just bad... Both of the characters were annoying. Dallas`s love interest, Dayton or Dalton or whatever his name was... jeez man he was pushy and annoying.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

All Dallas Bryan wants is to dance, but at her school she's resigned herself to the cheer team, until she can escape for her dream school, CalArts. She doesn't want any complications, and is fine with just her brother Nathan, and best friend Gabby, for company. But when the quarterback and star of the school, Drayton Lahey, literally crashes into her, it seems fate has another idea. As her feelings grow, will she still aim for her dream of California, or will her heart take her in another direction?

Right, I'm going to start off by saying this wasn't a bad book, per se, but it read very much like a CW teen drama, with all the angst and not much of a plot. I never really jelled with any of the characters, and found them to be really obnoxious, over the top, and wholly fake. I think some teens would enjoy this YA/NA book, but for me, I was rolling my eyes a little too much throughout the whole thing.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book starts off really slow and I think many teens will give it up before it really gets moving along, which is a shame because it's a pretty good book that teens may be able to relate to.

Catching up on reviews here from my blog - This was a quick read from author Tay Marley. I love a sports romance and YA so this was a good read for me! Will keep an eye out for more Wattpad books to come.

Three times I have tried to read this and Three times I can't seem to allow my brain to fall that low. I think I'm going to have to give up on this completely. Felt like it was fanfiction come to life.

This romance wasn't honestly the best. It could have been way better. I wish that there could have been more. It just fell very flat and was too cliched.

I had the absolute pleasure of receiving the QB Bad Boy and Me from Netgalley a while back.

The book is centered on Dallas, a cheerleader whose main goal is to get into CalArts and study dance and Drayton, the QB Bad boy. They met after Drayton crashed his motorcycle into her car. The book was filled with humor, romance, innuendos and pure hotness.

The book was originally written in Wattpad so it’s super cliche. But I actually love cliche books so this was a 5 stars for me. The book was written really beautifully and I loved the fact that there was a ton of humor, jokes and innuendos (they’re really hilarious to read actually). If you’re a fan of Wattpad books, jocks, bad boys with leather jackets on motorcycles, you should definitely read this one.

This was just not the book for me. I really didn't like the characters or the story. Would not recommend.

Recommend for an easy, fun, and simple read. Was easy to follow and fall in love with the main characters. Didn't have much depth and was a basic storyline. Giving it 3 stars because it was simple and easy to follow. I first read the book on Wattpad and read it again when it was published. The author has made great strides and I fully support and encourage Wattpad authors.

But who doesn't love our favorite bad boy Drayton Lahey. I read this on Wattpad and now reading an improved version was just the icing on the cake. I love Taylor, she's such a good writer. I hope she publishes the rest of her books!

This is such a cute teen romance!
Whilst it's pretty unrealistic, it is a fun, quick, easy read!

I loved Drayton and Dallas! They were super adorable together!
The rest of the characters rounded out the story well!!!

This book would make a great summer read!!

This book needs a sequel. Definitely was a hard one to put down and left me wanting more. The story sucks you in and makes you part of it. Five huge stars.

Loved this book!! The characters are well written and the story line flows perfectly. Drayton and Dallas make a great couple. We get to follow along with them as they fall in love and make decisions about their lives. A great YA read for anyone looking for a sweet love story.

I enjoyed the story of Dallas and Drayton. It was sweet and a breath of fresh air. I loved how they figured out things together with school and football. They are so supportive of each other in the story. The banter is just so funny to me. It reminds me of me and my husband. I would highly recommend this story.

*I received an advance copy of this book from Wattpad Books on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion. *

I know that football players are the boys of fall but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a little swoony football romance perfectly fine in the beauty of summer. Besides, the CFL starts in June ;)

I was sold on reading this from the second I heard "QB" but in reality I was very on the fence while reading. I loved the characters about 50% of the time and then wanted to smack them the other 50%. I like how Dallas is very open-minded in regards to her sexuality and that overall she's allowed to live that part of her life however she chooses without it becoming a point of shame. She's also very determined to follow her dreams of getting into the dance program she wants and I'm all for promoting and nurturing that kind of ambition and drive in young girls. Then she turns around and does things that are reckless and borderline dangerous in some cases all in the name of breaking out of her shell and changing things up. I know making questionable decisions is part of being a teen, lord knows I made my fair share, but GIRL...you went 0 to 100 wayyy too quickly.

Then we have Drayton. I also either loved him or wanted to kick him in the balls. On one hand it's sweet that he cares enough to be so protective of Dallas. On the other, he wanders down some very problematic paths in the effort to look out for her. As a female who has been on high alert and super on edge walking places at night, his trying to prove a point to a very drunk Dallas by pretending to attack her was just cruel. In reality it has the potential to also be really hard on her psychologically but it was presented in way that came across as it was meant to be swoon-worthy. I was so uncomfortable at that point that I almost put the book down and walked away from it. There are other instances where his behaviour left a bad taste in my mouth even though it was supposed to be coming from a good place but the fake attack was the worst for me personally.

I did find their dynamic as a couple to be extremely cute overall. The banter and giving one another a hard time was great and I liked that Drayton is supportive of Dallas and her dreams (even if it's sometimes to reckless extremes). There were many moments that made me swoon and had me wishing I had someone to be like that with even though I'm an old hermit and generally very secure in that role.

The struggle of figuring things out in your last year of high school and trying to feel secure in who your are the path you've chosen is also huge. Although not always to the extreme that Dallas does, it's normal to push the boundaries of what you're used to and explore new things leading up to a big period of change.

What a totally fun and unexpected enjoyable treat of a book. This is what they say is a teen book, “Yeah! No!” They also say young adults that I would say I could go with but college-age activity even parents of college students living at home wouldn't be this carefree and lenient either. But in high school, I would say, “OH HELL NO!”

Now, let me just get this part off my chest. Having it as a high school setting does not make me comfortable due to it… One it glorifies underage drinking to excess, has parents and other adults and businesses in Colorado serving alcohol. When in Colorado the drinking age is twenty-one.

This is the other thing; rabbits and their friends don’t mate as much as these two do and their friends. High school again, parents never at home at all and when they are, they know it’s happening and even walk in on sex and say nothing. Yeah, on what planet… I know fiction.

Even with all that. I loved this book. The two main characters were full of spunk and spirit. Their banter and dry sense of humor were funny. Yet, it was their unsure thinking of what the other might think of them. That was endearing. When, you deal with the peer pressures, social-economic pressures, and just plain personalities of high school it makes understanding a budding relationship even less.

Then, with two alphas in both genders that are just a perfect spark needed for fireworks. You see Dallas, losing her parents young was always a homebody who had wanted good grades to go to college. Plus, she worked part-time to save for it because it was just her and her older brother, Nathan.

Drayton, on the other hand, comes from money. She knew just by the crowd he hung with. She chose never to give him or his friends the time of day. Their angst and rude comments to people were always hurtful and mean.

So, the day after he had to pay for the damages to her car and her brother invited him to stay for dinner. He in front of his friends fronts her off and acts two-faced which was bad enough.

He refers to something she’s doing, outside of school that could cost her a shot at her future she’s worked so hard for. She tells him to stay the hell away from her and her brother. She was so sadly mistaken about who he was the day before.

That the person she thought she glimpsed the prior day was real, but she was so mistaken. That was her bad, lesson learned she would not allow that to happen again. Two-faced asshats are not welcome into her home, life, or around her family. So, stay the hell away.

It was hard for them both to put their hearts on the line. As a friendship grows after a little good amount of graveling on Dray’s part. Yet, they both had a strong need for the other’s personality in them like the yin and yang.

Dallas subdued kindness and overall shyness to Dray’s in your face live life to the fullest sexuality charged innuendos meant only for Dallas's ears are just too sweet and funny. Both have never dated so they needed a big birth with it.

Losing points for never being in a relationship and understanding the importance of communication. Allowing this enemy-friendship-to lover romance to grow.

This author’s humor used in this book was so effortless. This book flowed so well. The characters were full-bodied as well as supporting characters. The touching parts you are meant to you do for sure.

I just loved the story of Dallas and Dray. Their journey into a love so strong the world always drops away when they are together.

I give this: 5++++ stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.
