Dear Anna was such an interesting read. I really enjoyed the story and the characters.

Synopsis:
When Medeia Moore's manipulative husband is caught cheating with his secretary, Anna, Medeia begins to plan her escape. She runs into one colossal blockade— the prenup. John has all the money.

Desperate to avoid being sent back to the shack of her childhood nightmares, and not willing to let go of the wealthy life she's become accustomed to, Medeia plots in secret to have the upper hand. She will use John's secrets against him. After all, she's the reason he's not in jail.

But, when more of John's secrets pour out than Medeia can handle, she is forced to search for revenge in a more sinister nature.

The novel started out well enough, but by the middle I started to lose interest. I found it somewhat repetitive and lacking depth.

Well written thriller.

Interesting, captivating, good pace, strong characters, well developed storyline.

The kind of story that happens in real life. I can't say I've never read something similar or seen on tv but it was really good. Not boring at all!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of the book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

How far will she go to gain back her freedom?

I am so glad I gave this story a chance!!

Thrillers usually aren't stories I seek out to read, but after I read the blurb and saw the cover for Dear Anna, I knew I had to give it a try. Katie Blanchard precisely developed this story and its characters, and let me tell you, it's freaking awesome. She is brilliant! Not only will the story consume you, but you'll get so wrapped up in the story-line, you won't even realize you're done reading it.

Dear Anna reminded me of a Lifetime movie where the heroine gets revenge on her husband when she finds out he's been cheating on her. Medeia is bad-ass, and that's putting it mildly. Seriously, if you love characters that are twisted, mind-blowing, and clever beyond belief, this is the story for you. I just can't get over how carefully woven the entire story is. The suspense and drama is top-notch!

I can already tell you, Dear Anna is going to be one of my top reads this year. Loved it!! Katie Blanchard, I'm adding you to my author radar because I would love to read more!

I had noticed Dear Anna by Katie Blanchard out and about for a few days. While it sounded really good I just didn't have the time to add another review to my calendar for mid-July. Then I saw the cover. I don't know what it is about covers but they can really make or break a book. In this instance, it went from I just can't too... I have to find a way to fit this in. And I did. It took me a day or so to get through the first 50%, which seems to be the typical thing for thrillers as of late. Most wait until that last 15% and then BOOM... they dump the load. Dear Anna wasn't like that. The first half was slower as Miss Blanchard built the story up, built her characters. The last 50% I stayed up on a work night well into 2am finishing the book. That last half is a whirlwind.

I hadn't read Katie Blanchard before Dear Anna. I do believe this is her debut thriller but she isn't new to writing. That shows. Dear Anna is very well developed. Miss Blanchard wrote a book that made me cheer for the scorned women. I think most women have all been messed over at some point... I feel like this is will make some women smile at the sweet revenge... I know I did!!

I really wish that Dear Anna had turned to a dual POV when John woke u. I would have loved reading his thoughts and actions after. I'm not sure how that could have went down but it turning into a dual POV at that point would have made this book off the charts in my eyes... depending on the execution.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

The cover of this book is pretty dramatic, capturing your eye and compelling you to see what's inside. The story line is compelling. I've read many books where the wife finds herself in a tenuous situation once the husband moves on to another woman. That's where the similarities end in DEAR ANNA. Raised in poverty and with a pre-nup that will take her right back, our scorned wife starts making plans to protect her future. She has information that her husband would not want made public and along the way finds more and more to add to it. Katie Blanchard has written a face paced, taking care of business thriller that was an exceptional read for me. The story flows from one character to another, building tension and keeping you guessing what the next move will be. The ending is not what you'd expect.

Thank you to Netgalley, Katie Blachard and the publisher for allowing me an electronic ARC of the book, in exchange for an honest review.

This psychological thriller is about a wife who finds out that her husband is having an affair, and how she works through seeing them, and knowing all about them.

From page 1 to the very end, this book kept me intrigued and I was glued to the pages as I couldn't wait to read each chapter. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Best book I've read in quite a while.

I thought this book was just ok. It seemed extremely disconnected in parts and seemed extremely predictable. The overall repetitiveness was a struggle for me and I almost gave up. The husband seemed bipolar instead of menacing and the wife seemed like a doormat, even when she took her power back. I had high hopes for this book, however I feel that overall it was just not for me.

It was actually the cover that drawn me on this novel. I love it. Anyway, Dear Anna is a fast-paced page-turner that kept my attention from beginning till end. I devoured every page and even stayed up so late just to finish it. Because I just can't stop reading. It is a story of a woman scorned out to get revenge on her cheating husband and his mistress. Medeia is an easily likeable character despite her questionable decisions. You just can't help but root for her. It is very well-written and excellently executed with well-developed characters. There's no shocking twist and turn but it still gives a satisfying ending. Definitely a thrilling read. The best psychological thriller I've read this year, by far. One I will surely recommend.

Dear Anna is a suspenseful revenge novel perfect for summer. Medeia grew up poor but has transformed herself into the perfect rich housewife for her domineering husband John. When she finds out John is having an affair with his secretary Anna, she wants revenge. She starts stalking Anna to find out all she can about her and finds ways to perfect her payback.
This was a fast-faced novel that I enjoyed reading. Even though everyone has their flaws, you still find yourself rooting for Medeia and hoping she can overcome and escape her situation. I feel like the characters were very well developed, including the friends in this story. Great summer read!

3.,5 rounded up at least likeable and connectable heroine and storytelling from one POV, dark, fast pacing, gripping four stars!

Well-written, greatly-developed, unputdownable, short, page-turner with satisfying ending. There was no twist , anything surprising but it is still enjoyable. At least it doesn't bore you, it captures your attention easily.

So far it's not the best thriller I've read on 2019 but it is still one of the good and exceptional ones.

Special thanks the publishing company and NetGalley to provide this good thriller to me in exchange my honest review!

“Dear Anna is a psychological thriller full of suspense. I was trapped on a rollercoaster of emotions. Katie took the revenge concept to a whole new level that you must experience.

Medeia has been married to John since the past 10 years, she thought she was living the happily ever after until one day she found out that his husband has been cheating on her with his secretary, Anna.

John is a successful man, rich and a what seems like the perfect husband but deep down he’s not what he seems. There’s no good in him. He lies, cheats and manipulate. Fall in love with him at your own risk, I warn you. You’ll regret it.

Medeia is running out of options. Getting a divorce isn’t an option, the prenup agreement states that John is the only one who will keep the money. Coming from a home of poverty, she refuses to go back to that hole.

Anger and angst are chasing her. She come to realized that the past 10 years she completely lost lost herself. No friends, no social life, no hobbies… zero liberty. Just a puppet of her husband. At the end, the only thing she might have for being the perfect wife for so long is, nothing.

Suddenly she found out she wasn’t the only one planning a closure. The enemy was closer than what she ever imagine. What a huge U-turn, I never expected it until shock surprised me. Medeia was forced to take an ultimate decision. Kill or to be killed.

Dear Anna is a suspenseful and absorbing action packed story. I was impressed by Katie writing abilities. She wrote a mind-blowing master piece. I was completely absorbed by the plot.

I never thought revenge could be so funny until Medeia. The characters were so unique and authentic. A so well developed story. The notes, the stalking, the whole planning until… wow, I was speechless. You need to experience this marvelous storyline.”
