West Morgan came to the Double R Ranch as a teenager and was given a second chance at life by the owner, Douglas Rawlings, along with other troubled teens. The biggest rule that Douglas has was to stay away from his daughter, Tara.

Tara Rawlings had always hated the Double R Ranch that was her home. Her mother hated being there up until she got sick and died and all her father cared about was the ranch, and not her. Shortly after her mom's death, her dad sent Tara away to boarding school. When she would come back for school breaks, every one ignored her so it wasn't surprising that when Tara left for college, she never came back. Now that Tara's life was in San Francisco she didn't make it back to Montana much. Her ex-husband hated the place and it only brought sad memories back for Tara. After Tara's divorce the past year has been really hard on her and she hadn't actually talked to her father much so when she received word that he had passed away Tara was riddled with guilt.

Tara decides that she needs to head back to Montana for her father's funeral and to settle the estate. Of course the first person Tara sees is West, the guy she always hated because he got all of her dad's attention while at the same was always attracted to him. At first West, Ty and Chase are all hesitant around Tara. They never understood why she stayed away but slowly they start to come around. When the reading of the will takes place everyone is surprised to find out that Douglas left everything to Tara, West, Chase and Ty equally. Tara also finds out that the ranch is having some financial problems. As Tara and West start to spend more time together to save the ranch, it starts to get harder to not give in to their attraction....until finally they don't! Just when it looks like Tara and West are finally going to get a happy ending, past insecurities come back to haunt them until finally they both realize what they must each do.

I really enjoyed Tara and West. They both had such baggage from their pasts that it hurting them moving forward in their futures. I also can't wait to read the other's stories!

"This is a good story that I found to be well written.

The story has a really nice flow to it and I was happy to relax and be absorbed by the plot for a few hours. I thought that the characters were well developed and they all worked well together, they were true to life and I enjoyed getting to know them.

It is 4 stars from me for this one, I thoroughly enjoyed it - highly recommended!"

Megan Ryder hits it out of the park with this first book in the Redemption Ranch Series! The story of Tara Rawling and West Morgan will leave you breathless with all types of emotions.
Tara had to go back to Montana because of her Father's death - She had been gone for so long and neglected to get in touch with him because she was trying to reel her own life in.
West was waiting for Tara to return and the animosity between them was heavy - he didn't know what she had in mind for the Ranch he and his brothers have called home since they were young.
The reading of the will gives them a curveball and they all hope they come out unscathed.

3 1/2 Star Review.....

A Cowboy's Salvation by Megan Ryder is the first book in the new Redemption Ranch Series, and had enough going for it to keep me interested. This is definitely a serious read, with all the angst and drama surrounding a substantial inheritance, and characters that for the most part had more faults that virtues. Don’t get me wrong, West is a hard-working, loyal, salt of the earth Cowboy, but his penchant for stubbornness is frustrating at times. Tara however is the epitome of a self-centred and unprincipled human being. Tara does evolve and grow emotionally throughout the book, but I found the whole romance between these two characters hard to fathom. Overall a good read and I’m sure the ending will please most readers.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

While I enjoyed the book, it felt like a plot from another story that I read. Fortunately, I enjoyed this story much better than the other one!

Tara and West didn't seem like they had a chance since they were so different and saw things from a different point of view. Yet, they balanced each other out and were really good for each other.

Parts were painful as you see the flaws in each person and their pain but that is part of the story attraction of this book. I really felt bad for Tara as her father pretty much ignored her and then towards the end of his life, thought he could try for a relationship. Tara also suffers from the nasty comments of the town people who felt she ignored her father and have no knowledge that her father sent her away - it wasn't her choice!

We also are introduced to the other "brothers" and can look forward to learning more about them when their books are out. Kinda get bad feelings that Chase is in for some pain in his book and looking forward to seeing what woman is going to get him to settle down!

West Morgan has spent most of his life on the Rawling’s ranch, which had been owned by his foster father. After his foster father’s death, West became a joint owner of the ranch along with his two foster brothers and Rawling’s daughter.

Tara Rawlings grew up on her family’s ranch, but hated it. Her mother was distant, but died when Tara was only twelve. Tara’s father didn’t know what to do with a little girl, so he sent her away to boarding school, maker her feel like an orphan. She made a life for herself as co-owner of a design firm in San Francisco but returned to the ranch following her father’s death.

West and Tara butted heads from the beginning, but behind there is sexual tension behind all of the angst. Can two people from different worlds find common ground?

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

A Cowboy's Salvation by Megan Ryder is an interesting first book in the new Redemption Ranch Series. I would say more interesting than entertaining since the two main characters have some real characters flaws. Not unlike real life, fights over inheritance is very common. In fact, West Morgan and Tara Rawlings may seen tame in light of what can really happen. How a romance come to be from all this is very interesting.

West is much like the typical stereotype cowboy; stubborn, loyal, hardworking and did I mention stubborn. His virtues are as obvious as his flaws, making him easily understood and maybe even appreciated. Tara on the other hand reminds me of many self- centered people. It was good to see some emotional growth for her in the story. Not exactly a lighthearted story with a man’s legacy at stake but he would have been happy with the ending.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This a great start to the Redemption Ranch.

It definitely took me a long time to warm up to West. For about the first third of the book, I thought he was unnecessarily mean to Tara. He was so hot and cold and I was thinking that I was never going to like him. Then West and Tara started having actual conversations instead of snippy little arguments. And West became someone that I thought could actually fit with Tara. The more these two got to know each other, the more I thought they fit so perfectly together. West and Tara, along with Ty and Chase, became a wonderful team that was going to make the ranch more than they ever thought possible.

I can't wait to see where this series goes.

Tara Rawlings is no stranger to struggles in life. This past year has been increasingly difficult for her when a phone at work makes it more so. This phone call brings a heartache from back home and West Morgan back into her life. This entire story just draws you in and makes you feel like you're part of this incredible place. Your sure to love the characters and how they get a second chance at life, and love! 5 star read, can't wait to see where the future takes Tara and West and all at the Redemption Ranch!

A good story, and one I had trouble putting down. When Tara gets the call that her father has died, she heads home to the ranch in Montana to deal with the funeral and the ranch. Three men, including West, live and work the ranch, and have been raised as foster kids. When the will is read, and all four have been given an equal share of the ranch, it sets off sparks. I liked this one, and the slow buildup of getting to know each other and reasons whys in the past. Highly recommend this book and author, and hope the other two guys get stories too.

Tara Rawlings was sent away from her family ranch as a young girl and had a tense relationship with her father. When her father passes away she has to take time from her San Francisco career to return home for the funeral, will reading, and sorting through of her father’s belongings. She learns that she and her father’s three foster sons will share ownership of the ranch. As she grows closer to West Morgan, the eldest of the bow grown men who have run the ranch in her absence, the clock is ticking on her return to SF all the while she grows attached to the ranch - and West. West is falling for her as well but thinks he doesn’t deserve her and does not want to trap her on the ranch, thinking her father didn’t want her tied to it. West leaves her to force her back to SF, thinking he is making the right decision for her no matter how it hurts him. In the end it is clear that they belong together as both are determined to make things right.

Really enjoyed the book and can’t wait for more stories from Redemption Ranch. The characters were well developed in a way it feels like you know them and can relate to their feelings. In particular I can’t wait to read Chase’s story and see how West and Tara are doing

What will happen when she needs to go back to her life far away in San Francisco?
