I adored this book! It was amazing. I was hooked from the very beginning and read it entirely in one sitting.
Let me start off by saying that I am a complete sucker for any Jennifer Armentrout book. Here's why...

1. The books are always easy to read
2. The characters are likeable and develop well over the course of the book
3. The romance is always realistic, sweet and absolutely HOT (!!!)
4. The plot develops with perfect pacing
5. Fantasy elements are well thought out
6. It's just plain addictive - every single time

I've ready many of her previous romances and fantasy series such as Lux and Covenant. I re-read these every year because I love her work. However the one series of hers I haven't read yet (because I haven't had time) is The Dark Elements, a series this one is based off. And I'm kind of glad I haven't read it! It made this book so much better. I went in with a fresh pair of eyes to the world and its characters.

So going into this book I didn't know too much about the setting, but it was so easy to get into. Everything was explained without the reader being overloaded with info and I quickly fell into the story and its awesome characters.

A YA Protagonist who was interesting and strong who also happened to have a disability? Check
A world filled with demons, angels and protectors of the human realm? Check
A well thought out plot? Check
A twist I didn't see coming but really enjoyed? Check
A very swoony love interest? CHECK

Not only did I love the story behind this, but the characters were interesting! So many times you read a book that has characters that are a little bit unoriginal or something you've read a thousand times before. This did not happen with Storm & Fury! I found each character and their interactions to be unique.

Our main character, Trinity, has a disability but also some really cool powers. She stands up for herself and cares so much for her family. She grows as a character and I really enjoyed her journey in this book. She made me laugh so much as well, with true and witty banter that wasn't arrogant at all!

Zayne was a fantastic main male character. He was hot, but also a complete gentleman and he was really genuine!! His character jumped across the page as a nice guy who could make you smile, but also was a total badass. He wasn't full of himself and actually showed he cared for others - not something you typically see in YA male characters these days!

The story was full of action, perfectly paced and really kept me turning the pages until I had read the book in one go. As soon as I finished I almost screamed in frustration at the realisation the next book is probably far away....

As usual with Jennifer's work I loved it! I would highly recommend if you love her work or fantasies that are easy to read!

Even if you have never read her work before you would love this book if you love characters with awesome abilities, angels and demons, hot love interests and a cool fantasy set in modern America.

Storm and Fury was an interesting and engaging read that I finished in just two days. I enjoyed the premise, and Trinity was a fun character. The twists worked well, and a couple I didn't guess ahead of time. There was enough world building to get a sense of things, but occasionally I would have liked a little more. Since finishing, though, I have discovered this is a spin-off from another series, so it may be the author expects readers to be familiar with that, hence the limited information. It certainly didn't stop me understanding what was happening in this book or enjoying the story, so it's a minor gripe. Interestingly, my favourite character in this work was Roth, and it looks like he was one of the principal figures in the Dark Elements trilogy, so perhaps I should go back and read those now, to get more of him! As for this series, I would certainly read on to book two, to see what will happen to Trinity and Zayne next.

I think I just read the first book of my new favourite series! I was completely and utterly caught up in this story, and I am lost now that I’m finished. It’s an intricate plot, and a lot of tough emotions and an complicated relationships. I loved Zayne in The Dark Elements series, and even more in this book! Loved the twists and the way the story develops and I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next!

I loved this book and being back in this amazing world JLA created.

Trinity is kickass but its Zayne that steals this book he is adorable and the banter between the two is great.
lots of cameos from all the characters we loved from the dark elements even my favourite sassy snake bambi.

I would suggest reading the The Dark Elements before this just to get some background.

im looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Who doesnt love a Jennifer Armentrout book. Because i LOVE everything she writes, And let me tell you this doesnt disappoint.

Trinity is such a badass chick, I love how jen write these such independent/badass chicks. And what a treat it was, to see previous characters make an appearance💜

I highly recommend this novel. I have read many of Jennifer’s books and this has to be up there with one of my top five books in all of hers that I’ve read. This book reached the level of pure perfection. I couldn’t put it down I read it in less 24 hours. I would value this novel at a five star rating. Readers tip always have bacon on the ready when reading Jennifer book something I always regret not doing lol

Firstly: how did I not know that there was an entire series about guardian gargoyles, demons, witches, and angels?

Secondly: we’re gargoyles always this sexy? (Darn, now I’m remembering the 90’s animated tv show and don’t judge me!)

Thirdly: what brilliant character development and world building. I mean....WOW

Fourthly: I will now be purchasing every book by this author.

Fifthly: how do I get the next book in the series right now??!!

4.5 brilliantly built (if fading and oh my gosh those feels) stars out of 5

Sixthly: sigh
