It has been a while since I have read a book by Monica Murphy. Save the Date was such a fun fast paced read plus I just love the cover.

Caroline loves her job and where she lives. She has a great group of friends who are all supportive of each other. She loves helping couples find their invites and save the date cards. She never expected one day to see a boy from childhood.

Alex works for the family business and has just moved backed to Carmel. He is married to his job and doesn’t take much time for anything else. When he sees Caroline again he’s reminded of his childhood. He was best friends with Caroline’s brother and had a crush on her.

They have this pull towards each other and the chemistry. I was captivated by this book and couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed this book and can not wait to read more from Monica Murphy. This was the perfect summer read. I highly recommend it.

This book was just what I needed. This is a gorgeous romance between two childhood friends, Alex and Caroline, and how they come to find each other again. This is a perfect readalike for The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, anyone into fake dating tropes, and people who love richly described destination romances ❤️ I’ll definitely be recommending this for purchase at my library.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a perfect easy read. My first book by Monica Murphy and it certainly won’t be the last. This is definitely a cute and easy read, perfect for lovers of romance books.

Having been a huge Monica Murphy fan, this book was a no brainer for me to read. It was different from One Week Girlfriend.. It was more of a chick lit book that a romance. I must say, I didn't feel much of a romantic connection between Caroline and Alex. I wanted to love this book so much more than I actually did.

This story was more chik lit than romance. Its more about girls and friendship than romance but it is well written and very enjoyable. Caroline has a job she loves. She works at a stationary store as a wedding invite orderer, but she loves the owner and one day wants to buy the business. She has a great group of friends and to some degree this book is centered on her and her friends. There is a romance but its not the central point of the story.

Alex is engaged to a horrible woman and he doesn't love her but he does lust for her. He is sorta a weak character. Very weak and he gets engaged to Charlotte and sorta goes with the flow. I didnt really love him. He is definitely not an alpha though he is very wealthy.

Alex and Caroline knew each other when they were kids and he was her brothers best friend. They have not seen each other in 10+ years but they meet at the invite deciding session. When the invites arrive Caroline delivers then and sees Charlotte with another guy and decides to tell Alex.

They break up and thus starts Charlotte's hatred for Caroline and stalking. THats when Alex starts feeling bad for Caroline and they start haning out and being friends again. This story was more about friendship than romance in my opinion.

It was enjoyable and well written but the romance left a lot to be desired. If you like chik lit then you will really enjoy this story.

When the boy who gives you the best first kiss story ever comes back in your life with a flirty smile, it's going to be a good day. Caroline runs into Alex again with his fiancee when they come to get save the date cards for their wedding. A broken engagement followed by Alex in hot pursuit of Caroline. The trip to Paris, makes me want to go visit again it was such great detail.

Great story with loveable and likeable characters that Murphy is known for. Yes, they have flaws, because they are realistic. I want Caroline group of supportive friends! I can't wait to see more books from the secondary characters.

The story of Caroline and Alex.

They were each other's first kiss years ago, and haven't seen each other since. After a chance encounter in a coffee shop, they meet again when Alex is picking out wedding invites with his finance. But all isn't well in his relationship, and after his engangement ends, she finds herself agreeing to play his fake finance to help him win a business deal. Will it stay a fake relationship or become something more?

An entertaining and fast paced read.

This is a second chance romance between Caroline, a Northern California wedding planner and Alex, the first boy she ever kissed. At the start of the book Alex is engaged to Tiffany, who is caught cheating on him. The writing in this book is very basic, but the chemistry between the characters is good and the references to pop culture kept my interest,

Monica Murphy is seriously going to kill me one day by her writings! How can someone write so amazingly? the question can never be answered! I loved all of her books and especially this one, it was light-hearted, sweet and I adored the characters so much! Even though its summer now but I don't know why the book and the cover give me wintery vibe which is cool, and perfect time to read the book. And I am glad it's rainy in Florida because the weather is chilly and I got the right time to read this book.

Caroline Abbott is the best at her job but she never expected that the bride's fiance is the guy whom she kissed once, and now she is in the battle with her career, and feelings. As the two spends time together through their deal, they seem to get closer to each other more than ever. As they get to know each other, Caroline is confused about the deal with Alex that whether is it still a deal or she is feeling something intense for him.

It was a fun, quick, and short read. I highly recommend it, and not to mention it had some hot, sexy, steamy moments. This book was all about "love, romance, confusion, jealousy, and lust"

Save the Date shows the lighter side of Monica Murphy. I found Caroline endearing, Alex frustrating and the drama surrounding their chance meeting hard to resist. From sassy to spicy, Murphy keeps the mood light and the laughter constant. A gold standard romance that captivates the heart.
