"Take Back Your Time" is a great book at helping busy, overwhelmed people re-evaluate how they are spending their time. Morgan says "your time is a responsibility, a privilege, and a gift." She encourages the reader to organize their time well so that they can live a full life that focuses on their individual purposes and priorities in life. Tyree also states that quantity and quality of time go hand in hand in order to create the best life.

As a mom of 4, I love her practical advice of giving children daily five lists that they can refer to in order to get their top priorities completed for the day. This is such a great way to put the responsibility on our children to do things without having to nag them.

There are too many amazing take-aways and recommended steps to take to become more organized to list.

As a mom on the go, I find myself with a lack of direction on how to use my time at home efficiently and this book has opened my eyes to new ways of breaking my day down, to focusing on the key purposes and priorities in my life to allow me to know where I can take on more and where I need to cut back or say "no" to things that aren't serving my purpose.

If you are like me and overwhelmed by your to-do list and feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish most of what you'd like to, this book is for you.

I received an ARC copy from the publisher. My opinions are my own.

Until now, I had the same complaint about every time management book I tried to read. They were written for someone else living a different life than mine. They were written for someone whose priorities were quite different from my own.

THIS BOOK IS DIFFERENT! THIS BOOK IS FOR ALL OF US!

Morgan doesn't tell you what your priorities should be and she doesn't tell you that you are doing everything all wrong. Instead, she helps you determine what matters most to you in this season of life, fully acknowledging that real lives are made up of seasons that change, and she helps you learn how to live a life that's full and balanced rather than frantic and chaotic.

Have you ever found yourself juggling various balls in life and, inevitably, dropping one? Do you feel that there are just too many demands on your time and you don’t know how to divide your day? Me? I’m a direct sales consultant with a fair trade company, a reviewer of books, the owner of a dog that chooses when to ignore me and when to be incredibly needy, and a wife and homeowner. Something had to give, so I eagerly accepted the opportunity to review Take Back Your Time by Morgan Tyree when offered it by the publisher.

Each chapter contains a task designed to be completed during the coming week. Tyree wants readers to discover the hours they work best, and then to divide their tasks into Green, Yellow, and Red Time Zones. The book contains examples of the schedules she writes about. I found I had a sticky notepad that divided tasks into three categories and adapted that for my use. She also offers ideas as to how to remove the distractions that stop you from focusing on your top priorities (items in the Green Time Zone). Turning off my phone was easy. I had a harder time with the dog. Yesterday, I closed the office door on him. When I opened it, I found him lying on the floor in front of it!

This is not a book to read in one sitting, nor does it provide an instant fix. It’s more of a program to be carried out over a period of time. While I wasn’t able to take all the time required, I was able to make some decisions about my work day – including how to deal with my lovable – yet needy – dog. I also realized I was on track with some of my daily processes. I’d read some of the advice Tyree gives elsewhere, but she brings it all together. This is a Christian book, put out by a Christian publisher. Tyree references different authors, mostly Christian, and also quotes scripture.

Bottom line after reading Take Back Your Time? Tyree’s book is for everyone who longs to be more organized with their day, regardless of what season of life they’re in. I know I need to get organized, and I know that Tyree’s method is doable. After reading her book I was able to make a couple of big decisions about various aspects of my life. I do need to create the habit of listing my tasks - and prioritizing them - on a daily basis. Which means I now need to figure out how to form such a habit and stick with it. Because that isn’t one of my strong points either!

Who doesn't need more time to do the things you need to do? I know I do! Morgan Tyree has written an easy way to manage your time. There is practical, step-by-step advice along with anecdotes about her own life to show how she accomplished these steps in her life. Her system divides your time into three zones: green (where you need more focus), yellow (a medium amount of focus), and red (your particular priorities). The author provides charts and other resources where you can create goals, along with the best time of YOUR day to achieve those goals. She makes it all seem possible, even for the most unorganized person (me!). I have begun to use her ideas in my own schedule and am finding that I do, in fact, have more time to do the things that I not only need to do, but also those things I WANT to do. The author also advises that you keep a "Done List." This, in my opinion, is genius! I don't know about you, but I often look back on my day and wonder what in the world I accomplished that day! I know I was busy, but when you get to the end of the day, it's all just a blur! So keeping a simple list of the tasks I accomplished during the day will help me to see that I truly have been productive throughout the day.

I've read this book once, but I am definitely going to read it again, because I know I missed things that I can add to give myself more time to do the things that need to be done.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions are my own.

If you feel like you never have enough time or time always seems to slip passed you without you noticing, then you need this book.

This book is aimed at helping readers take back control of their time, their days and their lives. Through tips and tricks, the author presents ways to better manage our time, so we can accomplish more without exhausting ourselves. What I loved most about this book is the fact that the author doesn't pretend to have a one size fits all solution. She acknowledges that we are all different people with different personalities and encourages us to modify her approach to best fit our lifestyle. She gives multiple examples of how to do this in the book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is tired of always being busy and wants to learn how to better manage their time!

Thanks to the publisher for providing me a copy of the book. It did not affect my review

Excellent!
I read slow and steady. Highlighted a ton and started some new habits. I will be rereading and hopefully be able to begin more new habits. It’s all about the baby steps for me. Time (the here and now type) is soooo important and I was being sucked into all the wasteful aspects. I’m hoping to teach my children this concept more by example.

This is an interesting and readable book about discovering how to best make your time work for you. I won’t go into all the details that the author has included to help us each discover our own personal productive “time zones” during the day, but it seems to make sense. I liked her use of personal illustrations as to how she’s succeeded and failed at organization In her own life. She emphasizes the importance of living a balanced life in all areas of our lives, including our health and the organization of the the “stuff” we all have accumulated in our homes. There are also sections about determining priorities and how those change in different stages of our lives. There’s good advice in every chapter that can easily be implemented, and that makes this book worth reading.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Who doesn't desire to have more time to do the things you need to and want to do? I certainly do!
Morgan Tyree has written an easy-to-apply approach to time management in Take Back Your Time.
She weaves in practical, step-by-step advice along with relatable anecdotes about her own life to show how her ideas are achievable.
The basics of her system is to divide your own productive time into three zones: green, yellow, and red. These coincide with times where you need more focus (green), a medium amount of focus (yellow) and less focus and more driven to your particular priorities (red).
A person should determine their top 5 priorities, find out their best times each day for achieving them, and creating goals that can be met with a targeted approach. The author provides charts, fill in the blank exercises, and other resources so that the reader can do this for themselves.
Yes, this is all good information that you have probably heard before in one way or another, but Tyree's enthusiasm is contagious and she makes it seem possible, even for the most unorganized person. Although there is some mention of getting your home organized, overall this book is about organizing your time and your life so that you have space for "fullness" rather than busyness.
I appreciated her direction and can't wait to find ways to incorporate her principles into my own schedule so that I can have more focus and more fulfillment.

Morgan Tyree is a professional organizer who can be found on Facebook under "Morganize with Me." (What a cute idea for a page name!) In Take Back Your Time, Morgan gives her readers tips on scheduling and how to make the most of their time. Morgan has some great ideas and she is definitely a very organized person. I like her list ideas because I am definitely a list person. However, I kind of started losing interest in the section about the different categories of daily activities (GTZ, YTZ, RTZ.) It was kind of exhausting for me because I feel like I would spend way too much time categorizing things when I could just be doing things instead. This is just the type of personality I have so I just couldn't completely relate to this. I did enjoy gaining some helpful time saving tips from Morgan's book and I will still be following her Facebook page for organizing tips. Thanks so much to Morgan and the publisher for the chance to read and review this book.

This is an amazing book about organizing your time. I never realized how much time I wasted a day until I read this book and started doing the charts in it. I'm slowly getting my time line together and don't feel as rushed as I use to. I will definitely buy the hard copy when it is released because it is easier to mark and refer back to certain places in a book than on a kindle for me. Thank you Morgan Tyree and Revell via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
