This was a wonderful book to read. This is a part of a series involving Wildcat Bluff Firefighters. While this is a part of a series, you really don't need to read the prior stories to enjoy this.

Ivy Bryant comes to take over the running of Wildcat Hall that she and her sister purchased together. The Hall is a historic honkytonk of the county. Ivy was to be the silent partner that enjoys her life in Houston. Fern on the other hand is the brilliant creator/singer/rolling stone of the sisters. Fern takes a job on a cruise line and forces Ivy to come and run the honkytonk. Once there, she encounters hunky rancher/volunteer firefighter/former rodeo bull-rider/chef, Slade Steele. The sparks fly fast and furious, at least for Slade. Ivy, on the other hand, is more reserved and cautious. Seeing these two wonderful characters interact was a delight.

I enjoyed the plot. There was A LOT here to keep me interested in turning the pages and wondering what was going to happen next! I loved the dual POV format! Reading both of the main characters' thoughts, really help me to fully understand where they are coming from. Plus understanding their actions and speech in a scene is a BIG plus.

This is a sexy read. The author did a great job of writing the "bedroom" scenes without being erotica. I would highly recommend this to anyone over the age of 18.

Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss is part of the Smokin' Hot Cowboy's series. It stood alone well, and based on this book, I will seek out the others by Kin Redford. hough there is a bit of an insta-love situation, I enjoyed the back and forth between the hero and heroine enough to stick with them to their happily ever after. I appreciated that Ms Redford offers fully dimensional characters, passion, and delightful dialogue. I always like characters to show some personal growth and change through the story and Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss delivers.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

This was DNF for me. The writing didn't flow as well as I would have liked, and it seemed like it jumped around to me. While I want the MC to get together before 90% of the way through the book, these 2 are having thoughts about being with each other forever and depending on each other in their 2nd conversation! That's a little too far fetched for me. Also, with the fire in chapter 5, her thoughts are "since he was the experienced firefighter", he doesn't mentioned being a firefighter until a few pages later. Although this one wasn't for me, I would give this author another read.

Put one sexy firefighting cowboy and one unsuspecting city gal in a unexpected situation and you come out with heartfelt moments, town fanfare and passion so hot it will warm your heart.

Spade Steele is one sly sexy cowboy, who would do anything or his little home town Wildcat Bluffs. Upon getting the Steele Trap 2 up and running he has ran into a few problems and one of them comes in a cute sexy package. I love this big old teddy bear of a man. His love for family, friends and country is evident, but I enjoyed his interactions with all the characters.

Ivy Bryant never would have thought she would have agreed to help here sister out by taking over WildCat Hall while her sister ran off to live her dream. Like the chemistry she felt when she was in the presence of Spade Steele, the man had her heart zinging with just one glance. I enjoyed Ivy so much, watching her let loose and really get to know the town and its people very heartwarming.

This is a couple that will stay with me way after I finish their story. Spade has no clue how to take it slow when he comes upon Ivy, he about trips over his own tongue. *grins* Ivy doesn’t have any better luck when it comes to Spades good looks. They both have a few personal issues to attend to, but when Ivy’s secret comes out can Spade forgive her? Only will tell.

Now when we talk about supporting characters the folks of Wildcats Bluffs have a style all their own! I adored everyone of them and hope to see them in future books from Kim Redford. Fern- sister to Ivy and the folks of Wildcat Bluffs are sure to make you smile or even tear up a little, but one things for sure they will always keep you entertained.

Now that I find out that Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss is Book 5 in the The Smoking Hot Cowboy Series you can bet I will be reading the earlier books in this series by Kim Redford. Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss is a wonderful read where passions of the heart and the town prove that miracles can happen. What I didn’t expect was a good dose of suspense to keep things more interesting.

When Ivy Bryant arrives in town to run the historic honkytonk, she finds herself immersed in traditions that can't be bucked. Luckily, cowboy firefighter Slade Steele has an idea to increase both the honkytonk's income, and his own. It's an offer Ivy couldn't refuse, even if the passion between them wasn't already reaching the boiling point.
This was a great story. It was perfect for anyone who likes contemporaries with hawt firefighters and strong women. I recommend.

A little bit of romance, a little bit of mystery and a big Christmas miracle are the triumvirate that make up “Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss.” Though it’s a cowboy romance at its core, the whodunit and Christmas miracle subplots make this book a standout.

“Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss” follows titular character Slade Steel who after retiring from the rodeo circuit went back to his ranching roots. He also moonlights as a pastry chef, if that is the what you call a cowboy who found his love for making award winning pies and cookies.

Enter Ivy Bryant, a web designer from Houston who had to take over the historic honky tonk in Wildcat Bluff when her sister and co-owner of the Wildcat Bluff Dance Hall and cabins landed a contract as a singer in a cruise line.

To Slade, it was love at first sight; and perhaps, to Ivy also, since the chemistry between them can combust anytime. But, Ivy was slow in recognizing that fact so she unknowingly made a huge misstep.

Though Slade was sure of his feelings, his new ranch Steel Trap II needed a lot of his attention especially with cattle rustlers operating in the area. And of course, there was his Chuckwagon where he sold his pastries.

In between falling in love, running a ranch and Christmas just around the corner, our romantic hero had his hands full. So, the question is, when will Slade find time to make Ivy believe that they are in love.

“Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss” is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content and some violence.

A sexy cowboy & a hot dance hall girl? Great combination, right? This author is giving a modern take on this relationship. Ivy has come to run the dance hall after her sister skipped out again. Fern always starts something & then gets bored & leaves Ivy to deal with it. Slade Steel has some ideas for crossing his family business with hers & making more money for each of them. The witty banter & flirting began from the moment they first met & continued throughout. It made the story both hot & fun to read. Add in some cattle rustling & a bull determined to get back home & this story has everything!

Ivy Bryant comes to town to revive the old honkytonk and Slade Steele, local cowboy firefighter has a few ideas of his own. One of which is winning over Ivy! Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss took me a bit to get into and I just never quite connected to their story. They were some great steamy scenes though.

Check this one out of cowboys and country Christmas scenes appeal to you. I give this book 3 stars.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this this book!

Once again Kim Redford delivers an exciting story revolving around a cowboy who is also a firefighter. There is plenty of drama and a room to keep everyone happy and turning the pages

COWBOY FIREFIGHTER CHRISTMAS KISS pretty much had me at the first chapter. What’s not to love about one feisty but shy city girl taking over a honky-tonk, one hot and ready to help cowboy/firefighter/jack-of-all-trades, and one adorable (yes, bulls can be adorable) stud bull by the name of Fernando along with the sweet little girl who loves this big bull and worries about him being away from home? I had fun with this romance that has a touch of Christmas magic but mostly a very realistic, very hot couple facing some extraordinary situations.

While Ivy and Slade burn hot almost from their first meeting there are bumps along the road to their happy ending that they’ll have to get through. With the help of the quirky, nosey, and passionate residents of Wildcat Bluffs they’ll face them all, and find a future worth fight for. I’ve enjoyed this entire series, and there’s another release coming in the Spring of 2020 to look forward to as well. If you love a good cowboy romance, small-town living, believable people and situations, and know that a happy ever after is coming… eventually, then you’ll want to pick up COWBOY FIREFIGHTER CHRISTMAS KISS for your holiday treat to yourself.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Loved it! Kim Redford’s Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss is well worth the read. Although this is part of the Smoking Hot Cowboy series, this book can easily be read as a stand-alone. This is Ivy and Slade’s story. This is a love at first sight story at least for Slade. Ivy takes a little longer to come around. A city girl and a cowboy, firefighter, and chef. Strange combination, but in this story it works. Add in humor, attraction, romance, drama, a little danger and intrigue, and colorful characters and you get a good engaging story. It is a well done book and I look forward to reading more from Kim Redford.
I received this book on Net Galley for my honest opinion.

Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss by Kim Redford is a modern romance featuring Ivy Bryant who is on leave from her city job running her sister's dance hall, Wildcat Hall, in Wildcat Bluff. Her sister, Fern, is a country singer who currently is off on tour. One day, a guy named Slade Steele, walks into the bar and, after, chatting her up, he starts talking marketing. Turns out he runs a local restaurant and thinks they could work together for both of them. She could add a little of his food to her menu (she has none) and make a mark for both of them. He also has a ranch and is currently planning for his annual cattle drive, thinking to make Wildcat Hall a stop on the drive, which is going to be live broadcast on the radio. Despite their instant attraction, they decide to be friends and work together despite setbacks, like cattle rustler threatening to put Slade out of business, and Fern's eminent return from touring.

This was a terrific romance with a fabulous setting and plot outside the romances. Lots of twists and turns keeping the reader engaged. Both were good characters, especially Ivy, who is totally out of her wheelhouse-the shy girl forcing herself to be outgoing. Everything works out in the end, which is the attractive part about romances...the happily-ever-after. I recommend this book as a feel-good story with Christmas overtones.

I would not recommend this book for my patrons. What is intended as witty repartee comes off as hackneyed cliches thrown back and forth at speed. The relationship development is absurd. The hero feelingly claims he’d NEVER risk losing her but the has only known her for about 4-5 hours. What should come off as comic relief with the missing bull just falls flat. Again, I will not be recommending this book.

I have become a fan of contemporary cowboy romances, so when I received an invitation from the publisher, via Net-Galley, to read and review Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss by Kim Redford, I accepted it since I had read the first book in this series and enjoyed it. My Opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.

Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss is a delightful story, and it quickly grabbed me in the first scene. I loved the eccentric townspeople and the hot hero and the gritty heroine. Humor abounds in this sweet tale of love and mayhem.

Ivy Bryant’s character is driven to succeed and has plenty of grit. She is loyal to her sister and determined to handle the rein of the Wildcat Hall, the favored honky-tonk hang-out, while her sister, Fern, is away. Her visceral reaction to Slade Steele takes her by surprise. I loved the flirty banter between them from their first encounter.

Slade Steele is a great hero. He’s the typical hot cowboy, but he’s so much more. He’s brave, which comes into play as a volunteer firefighter, and he’s a fantastic cook and baker. His immediate attraction to feisty Ivy has him girding his loins so she isn’t put off by it.

Since Slade had worked with Fern on ideas before she took off, he offers Ivy his assistance and shares the ideas to add food to the menu at the hall. Ivy takes to the idea and soon the two are partners of a sort and spend a lot of time together. Their friendship heats up quickly. While they definitely fall fast, I was okay with that. When a couple are in constant contact and sparks fly between them, things generally do take off like a rocket. The proof will be when the relationship is tested. Can it hold up, or will the flames sizzle out?

I’m happy to say the flames only burn hotter, and this energetic couple’s love stands strong after misconceptions tear them apart. I was so pleased because Ivy and Slade’s passion is combustible!

If you enjoy cowboy westerns with a hot male lead and a feisty female, then you will love Cowboy Firefighter Christmas Kiss as much as I did. I will wait in eager anticipation for the release of Cowboy Firefighter Heat coming in late March 2020, which is Fern’s story. The male You will meet the hero, Craig, in this book. Happy reading!

The first two or three chapters of this book had a one-sided case of instant love so intense, I was convinced I had missed something. Had there been a brief mention of passing time that I'd somehow overlooked? But no, this guy walked into the honky-tonk, saw this woman and was like, "that's the woman I'm going to spend the rest of my life with." Wow, ok.

The rest of the book was really sweet. Ivy slowly (compared to Slade, at least) came around to acknowledging her feelings, the community came together to support each other, and Fernando the bull was a Christmas miracle.

The firefighting cowboys of Wildcat Bluffs take Christmas VERY seriously...

Ivy and Slade's love story is legendary--when you add in arsonist cattle rustlers, a runaway Angus bull, and a chili recipe that includes liquor AND chocolate, Wildcat Bluffs will be celebrating a cowboy Christmas unlike any other.

My thoughts

Would I recommend it?yes

Would I read any more of this series ?yes

would I read more by this author?yes

What perfect story to read doing Christmas or any time you want a cute romance to get lost in to, it shows the love that a town and its people have for each other as well as family , and that some times Christmas miracles do happen, and that all you have to do is believe in them.As for the characters I loved them , loved Slade and Ivy and while it did seem characters moved fast in their romance ,it wasn't about their romance it was also about how a town pulls together and how one little girl just wants her best friend back safe and sound. So if you want a cute and adorable romance then this is this the one for you, I can see it been made into a lifetime movie if they could and would do it right. And I had no problem getting lost in the story without reading the rest of the series . With that said I want to think Netgalley for letting me read and review it .
