A paranormal story that definitely takes a twist on saving the world. Paige Tyler does a magnificent job of capturing the ultimate alpha male and the only one who captured his heart.

Wolf Rebel is a title in the SWAT alpha werewolf series by Paige Tyler. This is book #10. Like all the previous books within the series this one is packed with hot alpha males and sexy heroines. There is a whole lot of romantic suspense to keep you hooked.

Wow, ok I so didn’t see this one coming. We have been waiting for a while now to find out the story behind Rachel’s nightmares and the things she has been seeing out of the corner of her eyes, but we never imagined this was coming her way. And of course when an enemy becomes a lover it automatically becomes all that more intriguing and complicated. This series has been getting seriously more and more complicated as the enemies and friends continue to change and grow in the most outrageous of ways. We have been introduced to an all new group of killers and in this series the new good-guys that we are supposed to trust turn out to be total douche-bags. I really loved this story and I am dying to see what is coming next in this series, but Knox and Rachel’s story was definitely more than interesting all on its own. Knox and Rachel first met when he attacked the SWAT team with the other Hunters months ago and their eyes connected across the battlefield, despite neither of them attacking the other, they both know that something is happening when he returns to her world now a newly-awakened werewolf in his own right. Knox has been obsessed with Rachel for months since the first moments he saw her and was unable to do what he thought was his duty and kill her, but that obsession has become even more important now that he needs someone to teach him to be a werewolf. Rachel is dealing with her own shit, dealing with nightmares, waking visions, and blackouts that leave her as a weakness to her team and herself. But as the truth is uncovered and they are forced to come together in order to overcome all they are facing and defeat their enemies, the relationship between them gets hotter and hotter. Rachel was a woman with some serious issues but I enjoyed watching her find her way with Knox and show her just how strong she truly was. She had been dealing with a lot since she became a werewolf, and until she almost loses her life she doesn’t realize just how much. Knox is determined to find his way in this new world he finds himself in, despite knowing that he will not be welcomed with his past transgressions, but Rachel pulls him like no woman before and he won’t let anything stand in his way. When they are both faced with a very real enemy that neither of them ever would have thought could possibly exist, Knox and team rush to find a way to keep Rachel alive so that he can have a future with her. Despite knowing they should be enemies, the passion and love that develops between Rachel and Knox was amazing to experience and I loved every second of watching them come together. This series just gets more and more complicated and I find myself holding my breath for what comes next, knowing that Ms. Tyler will never let me down. Another great story and if this keeps up I cannot imagine how much better it could possibly get.

With a rapidly growing collection of paranormal creatures injecting new life into the SWAT series, ‘Wolf Rebel’ is campy and fun. The enemies-to-lovers twist ups the ante here and thankfully becomes more than the repetitive story lines of werewolves obsessed with finding their mates. Whether Tyler has consciously done this deliberate kink in the growing narrative or not it’s definitely appreciated. It keeps things fresh!

He was a hunter; she is a wolf. While her mind is falling to pieces the man she isn't sure she can trust helps keep her together. Rachel and Knox are the main characters this time and with equal action and romance they make a formidable pair.

Suspension of disbelief is par for the course, but ‘Wolf Rebel’ seems to have regained that panache I thought the series started lacking in the middling few books, with a newly expanded arc that bodes pretty well for future books.

This book was a good addition to the series.

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve read a Paige Tyler novel and it’s been even longer since I’ve jumped back into the SWAT world. I don’t know why I derailed for a little bit, but I’m glad to have returned.

I don’t know if it’s my bad memory or something else, but WOLF REBEL felt a lot more action packed and suspenseful than I last remembered the series being. Since this is book ten in the series, it’s possible that Tyler has started to increase the dosage of her writing so that it hits harder and I have to say, I do like the result. This book felt a lot more like a suspense novel rather than the hybrid paranormal, which I really liked. I found the opening chapters to have an especially spooky and suspenseful vibe to it.

We get a lot of backstory for Rachel, which I think made her character really stand out a lot. She ended up being my favorite of the book even though I also liked Knox. I think that if you’re a fan of Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed series, then you may enjoy the banter and worldbuilding that Paige Tyler has created here. The only difference is obviously that this one deals with werewolf shifters and Adrian’s series is about vampires. That being said, I look forward to reading more from Paige Tyler.

Wolf Rebel (SWAT, #10) by Paige Tyler.. I love this series and this book did not disappoint .. It has everything intrigue, horror, supernatural, so many twists and turns, tears, love and plenty of steam all to get us to a very HEA.

I was so disappointed in Wolf Rebel. I have read all of the previous books in the series. Unfortunately, I could not connect with either character. There was nothing keeping my interest from either the characters or the storyline. As much as I wanted to finish this book, after months I was unable to do so.

Thank you to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC of this title in exchange for a honest review.

My thoughts

Would I recommended it? Yes, but only to the ones that love this type of romance.

Would I read more of this series? In fact I have these books to read:

1: Hungry Like A Wolf

4: To Love A Wolf

6:Wold Hunt

9: Wolf Instinct

Would I read more by this author?Yes

This is my first time reading anything by this author and after reading this one I'm so looking forward to reading the others I have. One thing I love about this series is that I had no trouble understand what was going or who the team mates was because it reads like a stand alone which I love because I tend to read series out of order most of the time.Another thing I love about this book is that the author takes how you become a werewolf to a new hole level which is great, and the store's focus is on the action, suspense and thriller aspect then just the romance part of it.And its action packed from the very start to the very last page. With that said I want to thank Netgalley for letting me read and review it.

I received the copy for review. I truly enjoyed the story I couldn't have put it back down once I picked it up. As always Paige Tyler gives you a solid storyline and intriguing characters. You find yourself pulled into the story and rooting for a happy ending.

Wow, this one is so different from the rest of the series and just as good. I felt the PTSD angle was tastefully depicted. Racheal and Knox are an example of loving supportive couple that will do anything for the other. I found this book to be an exciting rollercoaster complete with twists and turns. I loved it.

Rachel is suffering from PTSD. Knox is trying to figure out how to approach her for help. Will her nightmares end and can she help him? This standalone book within the SWAT series will keep you on your toes and hungry to read more of the authors books, This is not a straight forward cop and mystery novel so beware.

Once a hunter, Knox Lawson is critically injured and knows he’s turning into what he hunted…Werewolves.

Rachel Bennett is a member of the Dallas SWAT werewolf team. She knows that Knox was a hunter but he seeks her help when he realizes he is turning into a werewolf. They have both been assigned to guard an Attorney and her family during a trial.

I found Wolf Rebel more a scifi thriller with a dash of steaming hot romance than a scifi romance. The focus is on the action, suspense and thriller aspect which leads to some strong story telling.

In the end, this is an action packed adventure, with a dark and devious antagonist and a sultry attraction that just can’t be denied.

I received this ARC copy of Wolf Rebel from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Wolf Rebel
SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series - Book 10
By Paige Tyler

Sourcebooks Casablanca - December 2019

Paranormal Romance

Rachel Bennett had learned how to keep secrets. After responding to a call at a cemetery where she had encountered a young lady being attacked by a knife wielding clown, she too had been injured, and then become a werewolf. Not your everyday occurrence, but luckily for her, she had found a pack of other alpha werewolves that she had been able to join as a fellow member of the Dallas SWAT team.

So, the fact that she was a werewolf was an obvious secret she kept from non-werewolves. But there was more, things that she couldn't share even with her pack. Like her nightmares. And the fact that she knew that the newest werewolf in town was a former werewolf hunter. And the little fact that she might be going crazy.

Knox Lawson had made a few bad impromptu decisions lately. After a fellow SEAL had died, he had quit and joined a group of hunters thinking he was ridding the world of evil, only to learn that the team themselves were the monsters. He couldn't regret joining them, because that was how he'd first seen Rachel. Granted intervening events had led him to become a werewolf, but now he was in Dallas, had a new job, and things just might be progressing with Rachel.

If only there wasn’t someone trying to kill his client, the fact that he had to keep his past as a hunter a secret from the entire SWAT team, and maybe, just maybe, there was more to Rachel's nightmare than memories.

Wolf Rebel is a twist of a romance between a werewolf hiding her PTSD and a reformed werewolf hunter turned werewolf. I enjoyed the interaction between Rachel and Knox. He was the perfect hero, determined to help Rachel work through the terror of the memories of the clown, and with Rachel to protect an assistant district attorney and her family from someone she was prosecuting. Fans of Paige Tyler’s SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series will be intrigued to see how the former hunter integrates, or doesn't, with the SWAT team. After the last story, it is obvious this series is going in a new direction, however, this story was much creepier than I ever read or watch.

Rachel thought she was going crazy. Knox was obsessed with the wolf that allowed him to escape when he and the hunters attacked the wedding reception. Then they both end up on the same protection detail. Can they trust each other and how will Rachel convince her pack mates that they can trust Knox?

As with the other books in the series, this book reels you in and keeps you wanting to know what will happen next.

Wolf Rebel the tenth installment in the SWAT series, written by Paige Tyler, a must-read if you're a big fan of Paranormal romance. I have yet to find a story by Paige Tyler I didn't enjoy. Wolf Rebel was no exception, it fit right in with the other titles in this series, with remarkable a strong plot and great chemistry among the two lead characters.
Wolf Rebel gets 5+ stars. I can't wait to see what happen next in this series.

Super sexy cover…

This was my first read of this series and my only regret is not starting at the beginning. Rachel and Knox were an intriguing pair, on the surface definitely at odds but underneath, so much was percolating…

Their first almost-meeting was a trial by fire and sparked so much of what followed. Together again, secrets held Knox back but their attraction was clear. Trust though was hard and it made for a less than cordial relationship. Sparks, however, were everywhere…

It's hard to label this story. It's definitely paranormal (always my jam!) with strong men and women battling the bad guys and each other… Intolerance, intrigue, and plain old love are all in this romantic mix.

I really did wish I’d started earlier in the series as I quickly became lost in the many characters and the feeling that I was missing 'something' through it all. Thankfully, happily, that means I will have to start back at the beginning!

I’ve loved and followed this series from the beginning and WOLF REBEL is a perfect example of why this Paranormal Romantic Suspense series is on my must-read list for every single title. We’ve met both Rachel and Knox before and the irony of the former hunter becoming exactly what he’s hunted, namely a werewolf isn’t lost on anyone at all.

WOLF REBEL is intense with several bad guys involved, one nightmare come to life for Rachel, and discovering that her former enemy just might be her One makes this story one that anyone who has followed this series a unique story that you’ll want to devour. And if this is your first time in this world, you’d discover a fantastic story that is riveting, intense and will probably hook you for past and future stories. There is a lot going on in Knox and Rachel’s story, not overwhelming but the action is fast, the romance is sexy, and the bad guys are beyond bad. I fell back into this world so easily and enjoyed every single moment. I don’t want to spoil the discovery for anyone so I’ll simply say that I loved this story that opens up possibilities for the future with a couple that is hot, yet tender at just the right moments.

If you love Paranormal Romantic Suspense then you’ll want to pick up this book (or this series) and sit back for a ride that will have you staying up late to finish it. I’d not hesitate to recommend this one to any reader who loves a really good suspense story with action-packed moments, a strong group of friends who will have the heroine’s back no matter what, and villains that are as nasty as they come.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Rachel and Knox's story in "Wolf Rebel" is hot, sexy, and intense. With paranormal romance, plot twists, suspense, and a few friends from previous books, their story leaves the reader flipping pages to see what's next. No matter if this is your first read of the series or you have read them all, it stands alone and is one not to be missed for lovers of the genre. Although hard to choose, "Wolf Rebel" is one of the best in the Swat series and a recommended read. **I was gifted a copy from NetGalley and leave my review voluntarily based on my reading of "Wolf Rebel"** 5 Stars!
