I wanted to try something new. This sounded interesting when i read the blurb, but it ended up just being so incredible boring... talking talking talking...going on and on and on... I just could not take it anymore...

This wasn't the book I was expecting from the blurb - so I'm not sure if this is a poor book, or if it was just aimed at the wrong kind of reader. I'm unsure, but positive that this one isn't for me.

Wow! Loved this, it's hard to give a summery without spoilers however. It is easiest to simply say READ IT. I'm definitely going to be looking for other books by the same author.

*Received via NetGalley for review*

Not for me, unfortunately. I was expecting a kind of fantasy/modern day thriller, but got meditations on politics and religion.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

I'm going to start by saying thi book won't be for everyone. It touches on politics, religions/faith and science.
With that said, it definitely wasn't my cup of tea personally, but that's just me. it was well-written, just not my topic.

Nothing wrong with the story but I'm just not into religion and politics. Big yawn for me but I'm sure this book will be a big hit.

It is so hard to describe this book without spoilers.
I'll just say that it was hard to stop reading. There were characters I wanted dead, characters that needed a spank (to say the least), and then there were characters I just wanted to hug and comfort.
Science is a big part of the story, but so is religion and faith. It's a mix of prophets, astral projections and advanced futuristic science. It sounds quite illogical, but it all makes sense in the end.
I'm ever so happy I got to read this book!

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for my ACR, it really enjoyed it!

3.5 leaning toward 4-Stars.

Certainly a suspense-thriller, with a plot and pace that raced away at terrific speed. There was some interesting SF involving newly discovered scientific knowledge (stretching my suspension-of-disbelief, but so what?), cuckoo world leaders/politics, but I’ll not give spoilers. I’m a fan of fast-paced action-heavy fiction - and I quite enjoyed this one. A fun ride.

ONLY SOME CAN HEAR MY VOICE is a wild ride, combining the politics of our times with science that is barely fiction. Perhaps inspired by the biblical phrase "and a little child will lead them", O'Grady gives us a story of s six-year-old with supernatural powers, a middle eastern prophet, a presidential demigod (sound familiar?) and a world on the brink of a third world war. There is a lot of exposition in this work, which usually drives me crazy (I'm a 'show, don't tell' kind of reader) but in this case, it didn't bother me. The exposition was necessary for the huge narrative O'Grady creates. Fun, interesting read that will be on my mind for a long time.
