Book 3 in the series, but can easily stand alone. I have read all of them, but doesn't mean I remember everything. Gracie has always been the one to help when needed, go where needed, etc. Time has gotten away from here, and now she is 26 and the prospects of finding a husband is becoming limited. Matthew is a 30 year old widower, with 4 young boys, ranging from 7 on down, and a baby girl Grace, who cannot stop crying. On a whim and burst of bravery, Gracie asks him if he wants to marry. Both would get something out of it, her a family, and him a mother to his children and someone to run the house. Both go in knowing there is not love, but need and respect instead. Naturally, love will grow. I really enjoyed this one, and found it hard to put down. A sweet read, and was a great take along for the summer. Would highly recommend.

I fell in love with Gracie! I enjoyed this story so much, although I would like to have seen a longer ending. It seemed that a lot of information and change were crammed into the last several pages. I would definitely recommend this book to all with book fans

I’d read the other books in this series so had a good feel for the family dynamics. This as a sweet book, Gracies’s story, but not quite as engaging as Leah’s and Hannah’s. I did like his Gracie was allowed to gave a fully developed personality which sets Lillard’s work apart from other authors of the genre. Also, I like the realism that Lillard injects over the care and raising of a large family. It was a fast read and fun to be back with these characters again.

This is a sweet heartwarming story. I loved Matthew and Gracie's story and absolutely fell head over heels for those kids. If you are looking for a good clean book that is full of emotions grab this one. Thank you Kensington Books via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this wonderful book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Gracie Glick is known for always being available to help those in need in the Amish community of Pontotoc, Mississippi. However, she longs for a family of her own. So, she steps out in a giant leap of faith and decides to propose to handsome and recently widowed Matthew Byler. Matthew needs help with his five children and Gracie feels Matthew is the answer to her prayers. Matthew begins to appreciate the fact that maybe Gracie is the answer to his prayers. Will they realize too late each has a very different idea of what they want from their marriage? Gracie has the family she’s always wanted but is it enough? A delightful story filled with hope, faith, and inspiration. I am a big fan of Author Amy Lillard’s stories and her characters are always well-developed. I especially enjoyed Henry and Matthew’s other children. Grace has her hands full! Don’t miss this one!
I received a copy of this book through Net Galley and the publisher. The opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this one very much. The story involves a recently widowed, overwhelmed father of five small children and a girl whose always ready to help out those in need in her community. The characters are relatable, and although the story is somewhat predictable (a common problem with books of this genre), it keep you interested, These two come to what seems to be an insurmountable obstacle, and I found myself understanding both sides of the issue and hoping they're able to work it out. Definitely recommend!

I was glad to see Lillard write Gracie’s story after being introduced to young Gracie in the first two books of the Pontotoc Mississippi series. Gracie Glick had suffered a lot of loss in her younger years and was always willing to aid others when they had a need. But Gracie had one desire for so long, which was a family of her own. Her proposal to Matthew Byler took him by surprise with an abrupt no. Matthew was overwhelmed with four lively young boys and an infant daughter who cried consistently while he held her, thus he had his hands full. No doubt he needed assistance and realized Gracie had a way with his children especially the baby when she had brought food over.

Matthew and Gracie had a lot to learn in their marriage of convenience. Lillard wrote their story in a way that brought out their strengths and flaws as they learned to give and take. Gracie was resilient and stood strong even with Matthew’s coolness toward her and the children. The young boys were charming in the story. Five year old Henry stole my heart with his determination and smartness even though he was prone to accidents. Baby Grace was a God sent to Gracie but she yearned for her own child. Will confronting the guilt Matthew carried about his wife’s death bring tenderness to his heart for Gracie?

I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher. I was not required to write a favorable review but have expressed my own sincere thoughts. I look forward to reading more of Amy Lillard’s books as they are released.

A Family for Gracie is the story I have been waiting for. Gracie has always been everyone's helpmate. Whenever a family member is in need, she is the one who comes to help. However, deep inside she has a longing for her own family. She wants to be needed by her own husband and children. With few choices, Gracie proposes to Matthew Byler. However, because of his long held secret, Gracie soon realizes she may not have made the best decision. Will they each get the answer to their prayers or will they both find disappointment? Will this marriage of convenience last?
I love how Amy Lillard brings her characters off the pages and into your heart. She makes you laugh, cry and even pray that they will find happiness. I highly recommend this series. You won't be able to stop reading. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

A Family For Gracie ( Amish of Pontotoc -#3 )
By: Amy Lillard
A Family For Gracie is book three in Amish of Pontotoc series. I was really proud to see that Gracie got her own story. I was drawn in at the start and did not want to put it down. I loved the story and the characters. I was not disappointed. Gracie is known for the helpful one. Always wanting to help someone in need. She wants her own family, but her choice is not big. I think Gracie is a very brave woman. Matthew is a widowed with five children, and not thinking about having anymore. He has his hands full with his small baby. I loved these two main characters and enjoyed watching them get to know each other. Will Gracie get her a family? This story is about trust, forgiving , and faith.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by NetGalley and the publisher, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you Amy Lillard for another fantastic story!!
I'm so happy that Gracie finally got her own story!!
What can I truly say about this book?
Yes this story has it all!! Trust, forgiveness and Faith.
It really takes cooperation from both people to make a marriage work. A lot if work!! But I feel that with God's help and trust it can work. Look at me and my husband. We've been married for 22 years and still going strong!!
We're sort of like Matthew and Gracie jumping in from the get go not knowing each other yet. We only dated each other for a month. I was a lot like Gracie. I wanted a family and a home of my own. I mean who wouldn't!
I think I felt sorry for the baby and all but I also think that I would have ended up pleading sanity for a baby who constantly cried. Nothing can replace someone you're used to and loved and then suddenly you're misplaced or something is out of character. It can mess anyone up.
Better stop here before I completely give everything away but fans of Amy Lillard will love this story regardless!! I know I did!!
This a story worth rereading over and over again because there are some wonderful messages in here.
Will someone else get their own story? I sure hope so at least the author gives an indication there will be. Please Amy????
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and no compensations were received. All opinions are my own!!
