I did not care for the characters, and I just disliked so much how it was written. Annoyed, bored and just meh. Nope. Not for me.

I Do Love You Still was a very good read, I was little skeptical at first because her last book fell short on my expectations, I can actually say she is right back up there and I was very pleased.

Xena Trinity and Memphis Brown seem to be the ultimate couple on the outside but I feel like it is was just strong sexual chemistry, Memphis is trying hard to focus qualify for the olympics but he just cannot stay focused and out of the drama. Xena is going through a lot and really needs to grow up and become the women she is destined to be. I am really hope there is a follow up book.

This intriguing and surreal women's fiction tale, sweetened with an urban flavor, features a evocative story line.

From the onset, Mary's fans will welcome the female besties and the man in the middle as each character struggles to fight and heal their broken spirits.

The characters, flawed yet deeply human, are caught up in the smoothly paced sizzling drama of blackmail, lust, and undying love.

Mary makes the setting come alive in the present day.

The cast of characters are unique and sexually charged. However, even with the sexual dynamic flowing through the story, the plot is innovative and spellbinding, as no one knows the heart wrenching secrets each character guards closely.

If you like fiction with a scent of erotica, which totally enhances this juicy tale, you will definitely want to read I Do Love You Still.

Too much was left open. Where's my closure? Who needs enemies when they have friends like Tina-Love? That lady is just out for herself and wants to hurt everyone because she can't get past her hurt. I don't think she ever wanted to see Zena truly settled and happy. She purposefully f'd up Memphis's mind to keep confusion going.

Young and dumb Memphis. I liked that Tina-Love had his card. He is the typical selfish man who does dumb stuff and then ask why is this all happening to him? He never stopped to look at his actions. He just wanted what and who he wanted when he wanted. That snake of a coach was wild! I didn't expect any of his shenanigans. I won't even touch the crazy Natalie chick or the husband and wife blackmailers. I can believe those gossip people do this kind of stuff and it is sad.

Zena is a crash course dummy. Why women never pick the right man? We hang on to potential and let go of the real deal. I never got her relationship with that step mom. She didn't have to talk to her ever again, but did. Zena enjoyed playing victim. She took responsibility for nothing. She's an exhausting individual. I can't deal with people like her and they're definitely out there. She wants everyone else to save her. UGH!

I was provided a ARC of this book from Dafina Books via Netgalley.

A great read about two people who couldn't get their act together. Xena and Memphis have the type of relationship that some would love and some would hate. Their story is told by different points of views and I loved it. they both want different things and their love and passion for each are shown throughout the book. I'm looking forward to the next book.

If you're not used to hot in your face right from the beginning stories, this might not be the author for you. The story starts off with a bang and continues throughout the story. I'm assuming that there might be a sequel due to the way it ended, but I enjoyed the story.

I Do Love You Still is a great read. Sometimes when a story is told through alternating viewpoints, it can be somewhat confusing. However, the author handles this very well, and it is no problem to follow the story as told by Memphis, Tina-Love and Xena. I found myself getting a bit irritated with Xena for some of her actions, but no complaints here. I love to be invested in a story, and you will definitely find yourself taking sides in this one. That heart wants what the heart wants, and each of the main characters wants something different out of a relationship. Although there are a multitude of twists and turns found in this story, Morrison leads you through them easily enough. You will enjoy this read to the very end. Note: Some explicit sexual content is included.

I Do Love You Still is complicated multicultural fiction from Mary B. Morrison. Ms. Morrison is an author I’m familiar with, so I expected, and got, intense drama.

Men’s clothing designer, Xena Trinity, is still in love with her ex, Memphis Brown, even though she’s in a new relationship. She’s on the brink of realizing her greatest desire, to show at New York Men’s Fashion Week, and wants to be sure she’s with the man best suited for helping her reach her personal and career goals. Xena is an eclectic melting pot, and her life is just as complicated as her genetic makeup.

Memphis Brown is working hard to achieve his goal of qualifying for the Olympics in track and field. Six-feet-two-inches of blackberry skin with lean muscles, he’s a fine male specimen and knows it. He wants his ex, Xena Trinity, badly but can’t resist the appeal of his sexy blonde hair, blue-eyed new friend. He’s trying to juggle his complicated relationships and maintain his sanity while living by his mother’s daily inspirational mantra, “Stay ready”.

Tina-Love Jones is Xena’s promiscuous best friend and Memphis’ #1 fan. She’s a multimillionaire supermodel who travels the world and controls men through sex. Tina-Love’s relationships with Xena and Memphis are becoming more complicated than she wants to deal with. She loves them both and will do anything she can to reconnect the two star-crossed lovers.

I Do Love You Still is way beyond good. The story is told through the alternating viewpoints of Xena, Memphis and Tina-Love. Multiple viewpoints can get confusing, but the author handles this easily with appropriate chapter headers and vivid dialogue. Morrison’s characters are vibrant and interesting. The story is set in Savannah, GA and bits of the city’s historic sites and history are injected throughout the novel. I compliment the author for weaving a wonderfully complex plot without leaving the reader totally lost. The plot twists stole my breath. The ending still has my jaw dropped. I rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it readers who enjoy multicultural fiction. The explicit sexual content may be offensive to some readers.

My thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

Mary B. Morrison’s newest book, I Do Love You Still, follows the complicated and exhausting romance between Memphis and Xena. These two love each other but just can’t seem to get it right. They’re both career focused, and instead of communicating with each other, they overthink and run. Additionally, they have a third wheel in their relationship, their mutual friend, Tina-Love. Tina-Love left me questioning if she was truly a friend, but I’ll save that discussion for a book club.

All I can say for readers of Mary B. is to read it. I enjoyed it but the back and forth was a bit much. Yes, love can be complicated. This, though, made me roll my eyes, yell at the kindle (yes, I’m serious!), and hope those two would finally get it together or leave each other for good. All in all, this is an enjoyable book.

I received an advanced readers copy from NetGalley to read and review.

Try this one if you're looking for a romance between two hot people who just can't quite get on the same plane at the same time. Xena wants to move her fashion brand forward and Memphis wants to go to the Olympics. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. There's a lot of drama here - and when they split, even more drama. It takes working their ways through others who are really not right for them (so not right) to make them see what they need to do. I'd not read Morrison before but I understand why she has a lot of fans. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A fast entertaining read!

OMG! What did I just read! I have never heard of this author, but from what I found she is very popular. Nothing towards the writing or the author but this isn’t the kind of book I would read on the norm. I completely went into this read with an open mind.

I Do Love You Still by Mary B. Morrison was a TRIP! Xena Trinity and Memphis Brown have the best/ worst relationship. Xena has an opportunity to make it big in the fashion industry by relocating her business to New York and Memphis has a chance for the Olympic. These two strong mined people end up going their separate ways to get what they want but end up re-evaluating their choices and the love they have for each other.
Okay, without giving too much away these characters get MESSY.

Would I read something by this author again? No, but I was screaming with laughter, things got so complicated and crazy it just took me out. Morrison fans will absolutely LOVE this novel. The ending had me gasp for air. Get ready for a shock! Okay it wasn’t that shocking because that situation was predictable, but I still want to know what happens.

Thank you, Dafina/Kensington, for gifting me a copy in exchange for an honest review. 3/5 stars

I received an ARC courtesy of Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

First and foremost - #teamMemphisandXenaTrinity for the win. Yes, Memphis and Xena Trinity have a broken relationship, which is tested throughout the novel. In my eyes this relationship was genuine. The type of relationship you can return to with growth and maturity over time. Mutual friends inserted themselves into their relationship, making you wonder: Could they have worked it out with among the two of them? I believe so, as both have dealt and were still dealing with unresolved childhood trauma. I truly enjoyed this novel, Thank you Mary B. Morrison. Looking forward to pt. 2 with the Olympic Games as the main setting.

Xena and Memphis can’t seem to get things right in their dysfunctional relationship. So what happens when their careers skyrocket? The love is certainly still there but will they be there for each other .. that seems to be the question in this intriguing new novel by Mary B. Morrison.. this book made me really think about the complexities of a relationship. I was very engrossed in the characters and finding out the fate of their relationship. This Author isn’t new to me . I’ve read just about everything that she has written and loved them all. .this book is no exception. It was a great read. I recommend this book especially if you are in a complicated relationship. Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read an advanced readers copy for my honest opinion. #netgalley

Xena and Memphis have a dysfunctional love relationship. They are both about to explode in their careers but they can't seem to get things right in their on-off-on-off? relationship. Their love for each other is evident and the passion is intense but will this couple survive all the drama going on their lives? Will they have it all? Mary B. Morrison keeps you reading until you find out.
Memorable Quote: "The only power a man has over you is the control you give him." That is soooo true.
