Book two in the Sugar Lake series had me at hello.

I loved Drea in the first book. Then when we get some of Mrs. Betty…

Listen…

I adore Mrs. Betty. She is my kinda lady! Her and Aunt Joyce give me life.

Drea and Kellen aren’t exactly enemies to lovers. And I actually love that about this book.

Drea is such a free spirit trying to tone herself down a bit.

I love the character growth demonstrated by both Drea and Kellen.

Oh… and their first kiss though.

I normally hate to read a series out of order. But this book was a perfect stand alone. I love a good *small town everyone knows everyone's business* read, and this certainly didn't disappoint.

Thank you Kensington for letting me read a copy of this book. I read the first in the series and loved it. I loved this story too. Suit and Boots were two strong characters and they had a good story and Grandma Betty she was so the matchmaker putting them together the way she did and what can I say . Thanks to a comment that Boots made it had a good ending. K.M. Jackson is a new author for me and is now a new one on my author list This is a GREAT READ.

A sweet book, perfect for a summer afternoon.
It made me smile, root for the characters and turn pages as fast as I could.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
