Clara is a twenty-something ready to give up on love when her grouchy judgmental cat has her crossing paths with not 1 but 2 eligible men. Before she can find success in a relationship, Clara needs to come to terms with her role in the failure of past relationships, redefine her views on love and figure out what she wants and deserves from a partner.

This book was totally adorable. I enjoyed the storyline and gladly admit it wasn’t a conventional love triangle. Clara was wonderful and I adored how she grew into her own and stood up for herself near the end of the book. The juxtaposition of Adam and Josh provoked interesting questions about relationships and love. I especially loved how Adam and Clara bickered. I’d be remiss not to mention Casper the cat. What a fun character. He brought laughs to the plot, but also comfort to Clara. For me, he was a perfect representation of the 2 sides of a cat. I loved the whole museum crew (Clara’s coworkers) too. The writing was great and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves a rom-com or enjoys great writing.

From a meeting with a cute vet, to almost being run over, two men become potential suitors and it's up to Casper to decide whose best for he and Clara!

A sweet romantic adorable novel for this cat lover!

This sounded like exactly my thing, but unfortunately it fell kind of flat. The h was far too ditzy and MPDG for my tastes, and was always being emphasized at how "different" she was than other art history people. I don't know how it is in the UK, but plenty more than just musty old men in the field in the U.S.

Adam was far too rude to get any real-life woman interested in him. Sorry, but I've concluded after several stories with similar H's that a modern character can't pull off the Mr. Darcy schtick. Only the OG there. And you can see what's going to happen with the guys a mile (km?) away.

I did like the British-isms throughout, as usually I find that regional flavor left out. But I could hear the accents here. And the cat was great, but way too little of him! He's in the title, he should have a bigger part!

This was such a great surprise! It was fun and light. Honestly, I did not have high expectations, I was scared I was going to abandon the book, but I made it in record time.

Clara works at a museum in Cambridge, she’s smart but is failing at love because of her cat, Casper, he’s rude to every man she brings home. Maybe he knows something she is missing?

The story is centered in a weird love triangle. On one side we have the Vet, he is easygoing and hot. But he’s kind of flaky and permissive.

On the other corner we have Adam, he’s a professor working on a book about something important. He’s socially quirky, almost rude. But he is real, he’s solid and sometimes that’s a great thing.

Obviously, I’m team Adam, because I like books. And he is writing one. DUH.

Anyway, Clara has to deal with her love life + a mean cat + a depressed brother + friends who are really not her friends.

I really liked the story, I just wished the descriptions were a bit more vivid, sometimes I felt like the scenarios were just a blob of grey.

Mostly this was fun romcom with a nutty cat and two love interests. At times I found Clara a bit hard to relate to with all the obsessiveness about her cat, but overall the book was enjoyable and I think it would be fun on audio version.

This was a cute, short romantic read. Clara has a grumpy cat named Casper.. he does NOT like other men in Clara's life. He chases any date that she brought home. I enjoyed this book. I had a few issues with Clara.. she was a bit naive for her age and a lot self centered but if you can get past that she was a good heroine. Her love interests were kind of so-so. But it was a cute read and I am glad I picked it up!

Beware Of The Cat....
Fun, far fetched romcom starring Casper the cat in the leading role - Casper being very much in control of Clara’s romantic prospects. Cat lovers will rejoice in this enjoyable, witty and madly escapist read.

This was the cutest rom-com that made me laugh out loud -- and do not get me started on the cat!

I loved this book so much. The main character is independent, but has a soft spot for her mean rescue cat (which I can totally relate too)! The cat hates most men she brings over, which quickly diminishes her dating prospects, because cats before men - duh. That is until she meets a dreamy vet... but is he really the man her heart desires?

I think this book is severely underrated and it was a quick, cute read. Highly recommend.

Ten Things My Cat Hates About You is about Clara Swift (I only know one other Swift, I was lol-ing) who has a menace of a cat, Casper. He is not popular with people and most importantly, he has come in between Clara and her almost nonexistent dating life. Clara is very interesting considering she has actual conversations with her cat. We are introduced to a Vet who is willing to help Casper out and a make believe boyfriend who helps Clara get out of a sticky situation.

I DNF’d the book at 30%. The book itself is not the problem, it’s 100% me. I started to feel the risings of a probable love triangle and I am not a fan. It may have not been the case but this book was not for me. Again, 100% on me. The book up to 30% was very entertaining and I love the premise, alas this book was not for me. You may love it, in fact I hope you do.

This is a curl of on the couch with a cup of tea kind of book, it's quirky and funny and will leave you with a smile on your face.

I found this one really difficult to read. The writing was not there for me and that really took me out of the story. Maybe with some editing, this would have been more successful for me.

This book was so much fun. I love the main characters quirks and the little scenes with the cat. The meet cutes (yes plural!) were funny and the story kept me entertained the entire novel! If you love cats and rom-coms pick this one up!

Princess Fuzzypants here: I am not a big romance reader but when I do, I want a smart, capable heroine. I want to be able to relate. I want a fabulous feline character. And I want a story that holds my interest and grabs me. With a title like this one, I thought I stood a good chance. Oh boy! I was right. I enjoyed every bit of this read even when said smart heroine was realizing the hard way she had made assumptions and only seen what she wanted to see.
Her cat, Casper, is a fiend to almost everyone in the world but her. He manages to scare off any potential boyfriends and she realizes she might be destined for a single life if she cannot find one Casper approves. Oddly enough, her dreams may have been answered by a hunky vet whom Casper adores. Of course, we know a cat adoring a vet, no matter how hunky, is clearly a piece of fiction but I digress.
Life seems perfect or becoming that way until Mr. Right does something so egregious that it shatters Clara. It looks like it might be the worst thing that could happen but in romance stories, we know there will be a change in fortunes and the right Mr. Right shows up. However, there is still Casper. There is that lovely bit of whimsy when the two guys, humans and feline, realize they both want the best for Clara and form a truce.
It was a feel good story. While not laugh out loud funny, it still made me smile.
Five purrs and two paws up.

'Ten things my cat hates about you' follows a character called Clara and her mischievous cat, Casper, as she searches for love and happiness in her life.

The title alone had me hooked from the very beginning. I mean, who doesn't love cats!!
Casper was such a grumpy and rebellious kitty that it honestly made me feel better about my own two cats and all the mischievous things they get up to.
I liked reading about Casper though, and I thought his relationship with Clara was really sweet. 💕

Clara herself was a fun, bubbly and witty character and I loved that she worked in a museum! I was constantly rooting for her to pick the right guy through out the novel, and despite her cluelessness sometimes, she at least realises her mistakes/issues a lot of the times.

Admittedly, I didn't really see a spark between her and the male love interest until the last few chapters- and rather it came across as friendship to me, but I think the ending was well-done and sets up their relationship nicely.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a funny, romantic contemporary!

Right from the title, this book is fun and quirky. I love cats and their antics so I adore this book. The cat and the characters made me laugh out loud so many times! :) More Casper please! I can't wait to read more by this writer.

A love story and a cat. What's not to like? Clara's cat rarely takes to the men in her life ( except for the hunky new vet Josh) and Adam is no exception. He is a stuffy academic; she just wants romance and a boyfriend to call her own. They meet when the cat walks into the road and Adam falls off his bike. It's a strange friendship, whereas Josh is much more like boyfriend material and is soon sharing her bed. There are plenty of wrong turns and bumps in the road before Clara gets her happy ending. But will it be with serious Adam or with sexy Josh? I loved it!
