Ok full disclosure. I had no idea this was YA and after reading it, I don't even care. It is such a fun rom-com sure to put a smile on your face and make you laugh. Pepper and Jack are fun lighthearted characters that you can't help but fall in love with. Warning: don't read this book while hungry....you'll be drooling for dessert and pastry!!! Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

As I am with a lot of contemporary romances, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to getting myself into when I decided to pick this one up. However by the end, I was rooting for Jack and Pepper to come clean with each other. It was a seamless movement between Jack and Pepper on twitter, to Jack and Pepper on Jack’s app. Even better when the point of view switches between the two of them. Emma does a great job of distinguishing from the get go each of their voices. It won’t take you long to figure out who is besides the obvious.

I sort of wish that we had a similar app in high school. I have a feeling that having such a thing could either be a good thing, like the students of Stone Hall make it out to be.

If you’re looking for a lighthearted witty rom-com, I’d definitely recommend this to you. Twitter wars, secret apps, swim team debates, grilled cheese, secrets, expectations all covered with teenage angst.

Would recommend if you’re a fan of You’ve Got Mail, this is definitely a much modern twist!

I am so torn on how I want to rate and review this book because it has such a wonderful premise and potential, but honestly, I got so frustrated every time I picked it up. I think it's the case that I've read some amazing YA books recently and this one fell flat.

I feel like the story was trying to do too much all at once. There was Jack's app at the school, normal pressures and anxiety that goes with senior year and getting into college...then, a Twitter feud? The swim/dive team scheduling? The blog with her sister? The drama with his brother? The taking of the restaurant chain international? And don't even get me started on Pepper's mother. All of the characters were so over the top, but her mother? Are you freaking kidding me? I almost stopped reading multiple times because of her mother alone. It was too much.

I will say the actual writing was good! I enjoyed the author's voice, and the concept of the book was there. But with the over-the-top characters and so many plot threads, it just didn't do it for me. And I really wanted to love it!

Very cute story!! Found characters to be interesting and they kept the story intriguing.
The use of social media is always fun to read in a story, and especially when you get to see banter through responses. Definitely recommend for a fun, easy read.

Read Cute. (See what I did there.) Okay, that was cheesy. (If you've read the book, you might catch what I did there too!) But for real though. Basically a YA modern day "You've Got Mail." It was a cute read. Nothing to text my friends and rave about. But cute. It felt a little long for the story, even though it never really felt like it was dragging at all. I loved Jack and Ethan's mom. I loved the banter between Jack and Pepper. Cute.

This book was such a delight! The drama with the parents was a little weird and seemed too easily resolved.

This was such a fun, flirty YA romance! I loved how the characters were developed and had flaws. The banter was cute and the romance was very fun. I liked the dyed and insertion of social media made the story more relatable. Fantastic debut!

This would be a great book for younger teenage readers, but the texting written into the book pulled me away from the story soon after I started reading.

Cute little love story that will leave you breathless and wanting more to read. The way these two characters meet and fall for each other is just amazing. I love how Emma wrote each character. I love the way the felt for each other. It really felt like I was reading a classic girl meets boy type of romcom. Just funny too and so enjoy. I definitely recommend to all

This was a cute romance! I really enjoyed this twist on enemies-to-lovers and I look forward to seeing what else Emma Lord comes up with!

I felt that main character being teenage girl in charge of a multi-million dollar companies twitter account was a little too hard for me to swallow. I was also not a fan of her mom. Can we either have good parental role models or address the fact that these parents are toxic and why it hurts children to act this way?

It's a breezy romance and I regret taking this long to finish reading it. The writing is smooth and flowy and it's perfect to cozy up in a blanket with a cup of hot coffee. Detailed review coming up on the blog.

4.5 stars

Uhhh, this is amazing and I regret taking so long to read it. Like ten people told me to read it all year and I never listened to them (I’m sorry! I have no one to blame but myself). Ridiculously cute and maybe the best You’ve Got Mail retelling I’ve read.

Very cute teen rom-com. Romeo and Juliet for the social media generation and happily without the tragedy.

Tweet Cute was exactly like I imagined it. Like the guilty pleasure movies I like to watch, this book was mostly predictable but still amazing.
I loved the "modern" idea of having a twitter war with two companies, as this happens more often. I really liked how the characters were written, they didn't feel "flat" or anything, they had emotions and feelings and thoughts. They had personal lives, which weren't perfect, but still realistic. I loved the kinda cliche part where Pepper and Jack get saddled up together, and how they find their friendship through multiple platforms.
Pepper's home situation is very realistic, her sister being away but still calling to catch up, her mom asking her to do a few things that's not her job and being so surprised when Pepper admits that it's taking her a lot more time than her mom thinks.
Jack is trying to be as good as his twin but always feels like his twin is better than he is in every way possible. He hasn't told anyone about the app he made, and how he would love to pursue his dreams of coding apps instead of taking over the restaurant because he's afraid to tell his parents. He think's he's always been supposed to be the one taking over the company, and you can't pursue your own dreams when your parents have other plans for you.. or so he thinks.
I loved how problems were solved and how both of them still took care to not fall behind in school, even though they were so busy with their parent's companies.
All in all it was a really nice read. More detailed review coming later on my blog.

PepperJack!  Seriously, though.  What a cute story!  I'm usually a sucker for all things YA but there HAS to be chemistry.  I have to care about these people and want to root for them, and feel their heartbreaks and joys right alongside them.  And this one absolutely fit the bill.  I loved Pepper.  I loved Jack.  This book was fast-paced, sweet, with just the right amount of bite.  I loved it and can't wait to see what else Emma Lord has for us.

A love letter to Gen Z and NYC --This book is so beautiful and fun. I had a strong suspicion that I would love this story purely on spec (especially once I noticed that Emily Shaffer, one of my favorite narrators from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy / Blood Lines series was one of the actors), and I absolutely did.

This is novel is vibrant and lively.
