A love letter to Gen Z and NYC --This book is so beautiful and fun. I had a strong suspicion that I would love this story purely on spec (especially once I noticed that Emily Shaffer, one of my favorite narrators from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy / Blood Lines series was one of the actors), and I absolutely did.

This is novel is vibrant and lively.

I'm honestly not sure why I waited so long to read this book. Perhaps it was lost in the shuffle of 2020, but let me tell you... this was an AMAZING read. I devoured this book in 2 days (and this was while I was on a camping trip and super busy). I stayed up until 3am reading and didn't want to stop.

Pepper and Jack are the offspring of a big chain fast food restaurant and a smaller NYC local sandwich shop respectively. But they're both in charge of the business Twitter accounts. Their snark and witty banter was spot on, and it made this enemies/rivals-to-"lovers" trope play out in all the best ways.

This is a fantastic and clean romcom that would be perfect for a teen or adult alike. I will definitely be adding a copy to my bookshelf to reread and share with my daughter!

I enjoyed the writing of this novel & the story line. It was a very fast and fun reading experience.

I read this gem back in July and I loved it so much. I have really gotten into romance this year which normally is more adult geared but I have to say I really enjoyed this one. I actually listened to most of it as an audiobook which was SO GOOD and also read some physically. I just know that it will be in my 2020 top 10 favorites!

Even though this book gave my mad You've Got Mail vibes the storyline was also so unique and original. I loved the duel perspectives with a look into each character. I absolutely loved the unique banter between the Pepper and Jack both face to face and cyber wise. It had really good pacing and story development. The side characters were really cute and moved the story along as well.

Make sure you have snacks on hand for this one because between Pepper's sweet pastries and Jack's tasteful creations it will definitely leave your mouth watering! The author's descriptions were amazing.

It was such a cute, fluffy, witty, swoony, entertaining story full of pop culture references with just the right amount of seriousness. It left me with so many feel good moments especially as a fan of more slow burn romance.

I had to unfortunately stop at 24% as I couldn’t get into this book. I enjoyed the plot, but not so much the characters as I could not relate to them.

What better setup than a Grilled cheese war with two characters names Pepper and Jack!! Pepper and Jack both work for their parents business when Jack accuses Pepper's Family business stealing their family grilled cheese recipe. Not knowing who is running the family twitter accounts Pepper and Jack continue this twitter war, while in real life they are quite fond of each other. This is an adorable story with the perfect cheese jokes mixed in.

This was such an adorable book! It was a light-hearted YA book. I enjoyed the Twitter war that happened between Jack and Pepper (also, such a cute reference of cheese!). This will be a hit for young adults due to the social media aspect and being able to relate to both characters as they try to navigate family, school and their future. I couldn't put it down and I love how it took place in NYC!

Let me start off by saying how cute this book is! This is 100% the perfect YA read that I binged within a day just because I needed to see how the infamous twitter war between Pepper and Jack ended!

I absolutely loved both Pepper and Jack - Pepper is the swim team captain and overall perfectionist. Her family also owns a big chain restaurant by the name of Big League Burger, and while her family isn't doing the greatest - the restaurant sure is! This is also due to the fact that Pepper manages its twitter page along with everything else she has going on. In comes Jack, overall class clown and always pestering Pepper. When he isn't trying to duck out of his twin's shadow, you can find him working at his family's deli. When Big League Burger steals his grandmothers famous grilled cheese recipe he will stop at nothing to bring them down - one tweet at a time.

We follow both Pepper and Jack's POV, I always enjoy when a book gives us more than one perspective so we can understand what is going on in both of their minds. I loved how relatable this felt - and could understand the various pressures that both of them felt. I will admit that I found Pepper's mom to be a little childish for most of the book, but she redeemed herself by the end.

I've also found out I love the concept of them talking to each other via the app that Jack built, so while we got to witness their online/irl banter - we also had those really sweet moments the two of them shared without even knowing.

While the Twitter war rages, Pepper and Jack soon find out that they have more in common than they thought, but they both have secrets that will change their lives and their relationship.
I loved this outstanding romantic comedy very much. It was easy for me to love Pepper and Jack, as well as their friends. They came alive from the page for me because of the author's attention to detail and realistic writing style. The setting was vivid and the characters were dynamic and memorable. Different types of relationships were explored, and the two main characters had some moments where they learned important life lessons. The humor was great. I laughed out loud many times, and I honestly can't remember how long it has been since I have encountered a read this much fun. There were a couple of things I didn't care for: the bad language, which I thought detracted from the story, and I didn't agree with some of the lifestyles and views presented. Other than those two things, I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys young adult fiction. I am looking forward to the author's next book!

Adorable. fluffy, light-hearted!!

I enjoyed this a lot more than the past contemporary romances I have read and I am glad I did. Pepper and Jack were lovable main characters and I just enjoyed their interactions.

However, I have just not been in the mood for romances at the moment so this might not have been the right time for me to read it.

Tweet cute definitely had the romantic aspect that I was looking for and would recommend this to everyone who is looking for a cast of characters to fall in love with.

Couldn't think of a better time to read this feel-good story. It's an easy read and it's so adorable - I recommend this to any YA lover!

An interesting read. A cute twitter war, app development and the fun baking has given a impressive background to the story. The character development was good. The book has made a good impression on me. It has many LOL moments.

I loved the funny and cute names for all the bakery products whipped up in the story. The Monster Cake and Kitchen Sink macaroons has kept my mouth watering. I liked the high school drama

I will guarantee that this is a nice light read which takes off your mind from anything serious going on in your life.

This book was a fun and very engaging story that provides a fresh spin on a story of two high school students that come from rival families. It incorporates technology and how it impacts modern life in a creative ways. The main and supporting characters were well drawn and spending the time with them was enjoyable. Recommended.

So smart and insightful while also being adorable and swoony. I loved our main characters and their respective family restaurants and of course I loved all the nods to You've Got Mail. A Hate-to-Love story with perfect relatability for today's teens.

'Tweet Cute' by Emma Lord is a super cute, quirky and modern retelling of the much loved classic ‘You’ve Got Mail’. It is set during high school, as teens Pepper and Jack, end up in a social media war over their respective families sandwich shops/recipes.

'Tweet Cute' is one of those novels you find yourself picking up one minute and then suddenly hours have passed and you’ve finished the book already. Its that good!

I expected to like this novel going in, it had all the right characteristics of a sweet romance that was right up my ally, but I didn’t expect to fall in love with the characters or Lord’s writing quite so quickly. This book reeled me in hook, line and sinker and I found myself racing towards the end wanting to know more ASAP. I laughed at the characters and commiserated with them too.

Pepper and Jack’s all-out social media war also stands as a poignant reminder to teens, and well everyone, about the dangers of social media. Jack wrote one tweet in a fit of rage, thinking no one would see it and suddenly the post has traction and is a viral sensation. Although this has a happy ending of sorts for our characters, its best to avoid that heartache altogether...

I recommend 'Tweet Cute' to anyone who loves a sweet YA romance.

I had a good feeling about this book before I even looked at the first page. I don't get these feelings very often and whenever I do, I'm (fortunately) often right. This book was ADORABLE and made my year! It had a bit of everything -- a cheesy romance, family drama, great friendships, pop culture references that made me smile like a weirdo, and lots of heart. Loved the characters! Pepper and Jack are so lovable and you kinda want to root for them from the get-go. I loved the writing and honestly can't wait to read Emma's next book!

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO FREAKING MUCH!! I remember jumping so excitedly when I saw that the publisher had granted me a wish and given me this book to read and absolutely devour before its release.
I think I’ve read the book twice in a year and both of those times I’ve enjoyed it tremendously. I loved Jack and Pepper, they were both so relatable for me. I related to how Jack constantly compares himself to his twin and Pepper’s relationship with her mom was also very familiar and relatable for me.

I feel like this book is so much more than what it’s described to you as, it tackled different family dynamics, it talked about social media, it also described teenage/high school experiences very well.

I also really loved how much Jack and Pepper’s families were involved with everything. This was such a cool change to all the usual books were parents are hardly mentioned or they’re just mentioned very vaguely.

Overall I really really loved this book and Jack is just my sweet little bean and I wanna keep him safe from everyone and everything! (Even his twin!)

If someone were to ask me to recommend a book that is fun, cute and light..this book would be it.
Just like the title suggests, Tweet Cute is a cute book. Could definitely be your next summer read.

A super cute teen love story! Tweet Cute was a refreshing YA romance that had a lot of elements grounded in reality (and that is something I really appreciate when I see it in YA). While the characters are growing into their budding romantic relationship, there is a lot of emphasis on the importance of family relationships and friendships that take the story even further. Completely adorable and I look forward to reading more of Lord's work.
