This was a very cute and easy read, but man! All the talks about food and the ingredients for baking and making different foods had me drooling. LOL.

I originally didn’t know this was part of a series and would have loved to read the first book. The family dynamic and the differing storylines made for an interesting and enjoyable read.

The Ingredients for Happiness is a wonderful title and perfect for this story.
Three sisters at varies point of life makes for an interesting story. Italy is the setting and is captured in the words brilliantly. A lovely easy romance which I enjoyed.
A great read.

This is the second novel in the series following the lives of three unforgettable sisters.

Amanda is back in Manchester, following her passion and opening her own cafe. Sabrina is in LA forging her career as a band manager and Louisa stayed behind in Italy to become the amazing fashion designer everyone believed she could be. However each of the sisters dreams do not come without hard work, dedication and second guessing themselves.

The love this family has for one another leaps out of the pages. I wish I was part of a big traditional family like this. Again, I love that Lucy always makes the lead characters the masters of their own destiny. No one relies on anyone else to make them happy, they are fiercely independent and do things on their own terms ( although sometimes Grandad is there to lend a hand).

I also love that the two books are set in Manchester, as a Manchester girl living in Australia it makes me both home sick, and excited to be heading back there soon.

I wish I would've read the first book in the series. With that being said, this book was super cute. I adore books that involve recipes and cooking. I am going to go back and read the first.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

To be fair, I adore books which feature delicious food and awesome recipes; add sisters, and family history, as The Ingredients for Happiness does, and it makes for delightfully charming book. I enjoyed this novel very much and look forward to reading more of the author's work.

Thank you Net Galley, Lucy Knott, and publisher, for the opportunity to read this novel in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Three sisters, a stash of family recipes, the chance to make their dreams come true…
Amanda is about to open her very own café. She has the pastry sorted, but hasn’t a clue about the plumbing. With the love of her life by her side, surely nothing else can go wrong?

Sabrina has struck out on her own and is proving to the global music industry she has what it takes. However, balancing the business side of the band with her personal life will end up being more than she bargained for.

Louisa is drawing inspiration from the beautiful Amalfi coast, channelling it into creating gorgeous gowns for modern day Sophia Lorens. But putting herself out there in the fashion industry will present its own challenges, even with the ever-supportive Luca by her side.

With the right mix of perseverance, love and plenty of Italian delicacies, these three sisters are about to discover that when they support each other, the sky really is the limit!

This was quick and fun, full of family bonding and heart-warming friendship!

I started this and was convinced I’d read it before - but then discovered this was book 2. A charming tale of 3 sisters, finding happiness and being prepared to follow their dreams. The recipes were cute but a little vague in places so I skipped them quite a few times.

A lovely tale. 4*

After falling head over heels in love with Lucy's first book I knew I was in for something pretty special when I digitally opened the first page of this book. A keen sense of love delicately weaves its way throughout the story with a true warmth at the very core. The essence of Italian family love is bursting out of this narrative with true passion and I could feel warmth and love burning brightly. It truly was a magical atmosphere to immerse myself in.

It's always a true joy to meet up with past characters and find out what life has thrown at them. So it was no surprise that I loved hearing all the gossip that Amanda, Sabrina and Louisa had to offer. Life has certainly taken off for this trio of sisters in a big way and I was overjoyed to see their labour's of love burst into fruition. From managing a rock star band to fashion design in Sorrento, with an authentic new Italian bakery thrown in for good measure, these girls are doing it all and I found this story both meaningful and heartfelt on every level.

The Ingredients for Happiness is a recipe for love and life in all its wonderful glory. I enjoyed each and every moment of my time spent catching up with these incredible sisters and I can't wait for the next installment to see how this story is going to play out. Now where did I leave my confetti.....as I'm sure I'm going to need it.

I didn’t like this book at all. It was out of my usual genre but I just didn’t like it. It was a bit cheesy and predictable, in my opinion.

This is a delightfully charming book. There is a wonderful storyline that alternates seamlessly between the three sisters, Amanda, Sabrina and Louisa. The sisters are trying their best to make all their dreams come true. Even though this book is the long awaited sequel to How To Bake A Heartache it can definitely be enjoyed as a stand alone book. The story is very engaging and hard to put down. As a bonus each chapter begins with recipes that sound absolutely delicious! I am grateful to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.

This was a great book to read on holiday as it is such alight, and sunny book . Sitting outside in the sun on the beach which is how I read it in one sitting.
I loved the receipts which were at the beginning of each chapter and the way it dealt with the different characters.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers Harper Collins for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

The hugely awaited second book from Lucy Knott is here, have we readers been looking forward to this, or what? Amanda, Sabrina and Louisa are back with all new drama and off course, all new delicious food for us all to devour in the long awaited sequel to the gorgeous; How To Bake A New Beginning and it is well worth the wait.

Even though I do call this a sequel, do not let that put you off reading it, as even though it does follow the same characters as the first book, it has an all different story, one that can very easily be read as a stand-a-lone. These stories are just so feel good, you can’t help but smile when you read this, its good for the soul – maybe not so good for the waistline with all the mention of food that you know you have to try too 🙂

I adore the way these books are written, the story alternates between the three sisters as we follow each of their own story, you really get to know each sister, I have read books that do this alternative point of view and it can be a bit messy and confused, that is never the case with these books, Lucy Knott has a wonderfully easy to read, fun and clever writing style that flows with ease. Plus, I really love how each chapter starts with a recipe and the food theme carries on throughout the book, they isn’t a chapter that passes you by without mention of food on some way – what could be better? I cute as a button, beautiful story which incorporates food, it is as heavenly as it sounds.

Each sister has followed theirs hearts and are now grabbing their dreams with both hands, only problem things don’t exactly go to plan, but really where is the fun if life did go exactly to plan? Amanda is finally in touching distance of her dream to open a Italian inspired café, which is all perfect in theory but with issues popping up left right and centre can her dream rise to perfection like a perfectly baked cake? But no matter what she must face she has the love of her life by her side, so all can’t be bad, right? Sabrina is back in America, this time she has taken the leap of faith and started to mange a band on her own, she is branching out in the music industry, but things aren’t exactly going to plan as she finds it hard to juggle her new business with her relationship with a member of the band she is managing – complicated much? And finally we have Louisa who has finally started to follow her own dreams, she has moved to sunny Italy and started working as a fashion designer, as with her sisters she has to face her own issues and her own struggles, but with Luca by her side she will succeed, right?

I just love how Ms Knott’s sunny personality is enthused into this story, her passion for family, food and the story jumps of the page and you know she has put so much heart and soul into this book that you honestly cannot help but feel happy while reading it, it’s like eating one of your favourite deserts or watching one of your favourite films.

This is a delightful and charming book that will keep you smiling throughout.

WOW What a wonderful storyline. This involves three countries and a loving family, lives are entangled through it all. You also have recipes to make beautiful Italian bakes and cakes. This book has been so well written and at one point I had tears in my eyes, it was so emotional. I recommend you get this book and enjoy reading it as much as I have. This is one to re-read again. and ofcourse remember to keep the recipes.

Such an interesting story line which follows the lives of each of the three sisters and showcases just what family means to them. There is an escapist element to it , even though it is set in Manchester, which I know well. This is the second book in a series but I read it as a standalone. At the heart of the story is the wonderful, evocative Italian food, family and love.
Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of the book.
