A really sweet love story. I missed the first book in the series but I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the series. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

“We’re two halves of a whole, we always have been. We’re just late discovering it, that’s all.”
Meant to Be is a well written friends to lovers’ story. The childhood friends who one day realize they’re in love. Very descriptive, likeable characters, and entertaining story. I loved the dialogue between the Flaherty brothers and their brotherly bond. The special author/character mock conversation talking wine and food pairings was an added special touch at the end of the book. Can't wait for the next brother!

When I saw this book on Net Galley I just knew I had to read it. I loved the first book in this series and I fell in love with River’s Edge and with the Falherty brothers. This book is about Sean and Meg. They had been best friends forever but events happen and feelings change. What happens when the people that have those feelings are unaware of how they feel but everyone around them can see what is happening. What happens when those people become aware of those feelings? Let me tell you if makes for one sweet, romantic and drama filled read. From the moment I began reading this book it grabbed at me. I just love this town and all the people in it. Getting to read more about the characters from the previous book was just a bonus. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series. Honestly I cannot get enough of these Irish brothers! Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sam’s and Conor story in book one of this series, and was looking forward to this one. This story belongs to Megan and Sean, another of the Flaherty brothers.
Megan Mackenzie and Sean Flaherty have been best friends since their childhood. Megan is now an accountant and mayor of River’s Edge and Sean is a hotshot lawyer in Chicago. When he’s shot in front of a courthouse in Chicago, he returns home to recuperate.
I have to confess I found it dragging a bit and It wasn’t until I had read 40% of the book that I got into it.
That said, it was a sweet , clean romance perfect for an afternoon of leisure.
The best part is the relationship between the four brothers and the townspeople.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is a pleasant, but rather dull friends-to-lovers romance. It’s part of a series about four brothers who own a winery in southern Indiana. I haven’t read the first book in the series and there were a lot of characters to keep straight at first. The premise is that Sean and Megan have been best friends for 20 years and now, in their late 30s are just figuring out that they’ve always been meant for each others. These seem to be rather clueless people and I found myself rather uninterested in their slow awakening to how much they love each other.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Meant To Be is part of the Four Irish Brothers Winery series, but can be read alone as well. I did not read the first in the series.
This is an innocent story about friends turning into more. There aren't any steamy scenes, so this works well for someone who wants to read a romantic storyline without the spicy scenes.
It was a sweet story. I'd definitely read more.

Meant to Be was the perfect combination between spicy and innocent. Nan Reinhardt did a wonderful job weaving together a love story between two best friends. Sean and Meg have been friends since childhood but it wasn’t until Sean was shot outside of the courthouse that they both realized they had feelings for each other. I love that Meant to Be is part of a series and I can’t wait to read the rest of Four Irish Brothers Winery series!

This is my first book in "The Four Irish Brothers Winery" series for me, as I have somehow missed book one. That said, this was an enjoyable read about long-time friends who cross that fragile line between companionship and lovers (no, there are no steamy parts). Basically, it was a sweet story, as the heat level is only PG rated, and the characters are fun and likeable. My only criticism was the ending felt slightly rushed, as all of a sudden it was just done, but overall a good read.

I loved Sean’s and Megan’s romance - they are so clearly meant to be together! The double date scene is a classic! The two have quite a history as friends but when Sean is severely injured, Megan rushes to his side and when he needs to recuperate in his small hometown, amongst family and friends, he begins to realize that the bright lights of Chicago aren’t so shiny anymore and that home - and with Megan - is where his heart is.

Meant to Be by Nan Reinhardt.
Book two in the Four Irish Brothers Winery series.
A possible best friends to lovers storyline. Will it or won't it happen?
Great character development and dialogue.
I look forward to what the next book in the series brings to us.

This is the first book of this series that I have read. At first I was not sold on Sean. He was shot while helping a client. Then there was Vinnie, known to be a player by Sean, but Meg did not mind... at first. Of course, when another attractive female comes into the mix, there goes Vin. As Sean recovered, I began to like him more. His dream of partnership at his law firm had come true, but the satisfaction of the achievement was not. He was also living far from his family, until the shooting brought him back home for recovery.

The importance of family, of work that is fulfilling, and of finally allowing in the love of your best friend are part of what this romance is all about. There was kissing and hints of more without any details. I like that Sean, 38, had to change some of his take charge ways. And I really liked that Megan, 37, was the mayor. I don't often read about a female heroine who is a mayor. I liked that they were both in their late 30s.

I liked Sam and Connor whose romance must have been book 1 since they were getting married in this story. Sam's mother Carlynne was quite the side character as was Meg's father Graham. The wedding was worth the wait, and the Flaherty brothers are quite the handful. It looks like the youngest brother might be getting his romance next.

The pacing of the story kept it from becoming banal and cliched. I was entertained and found myself absorbed in the story. The changes in Sean's attitude and realization of how he could fit into the family business while also still being a lawyer worked for me. Sean was becoming more of who he wanted to be, and Meg was remaining true to her own dreams. Those dreams were big enough for two without either one having to sacrifice theirs for the other's.

I am not a big fan of friends-to-lovers trope, but I thought that this was skillfully handled. I am curious about Connor and Sam's romance and looking forward to book 3.

Note: I got the advance reader copy from Netgalley. This is my honest review.

Scepticism is generally what I battle with the friends-to-lovers thing and ‘Meant to be’ was another cautious attempt at trying to see if this is a trope that will sit well this time around.

Not quite so, unfortunately.

Sean and Megan are lifelong best friends, separated by distance until an accident brings him home, though it suddenly seems as if Sean is now looking at the small town’s mayor with fresh eyes while the latter thinks that she’d aways unconsciously compared all her dates to him. It would have been well and good, had I read a version in which Sean and Megan were actively making their way back to each other as well, in the intervening years.

Perhaps it’s due to the lack of build-up as well that I couldn’t understand how their friendship turned into romance only now, like a switch had been suddenly flipped in Sean’s mind and he suddenly saw Megan as a woman that he loved only after his life faced an upheaval, which immediately went flush into a proposal. What gave? In fact, Megan’s argument about her being the safe choice after his chaotic run in Chicago made sense and whatever Sean did to counter that just wasn’t convincing enough to overcome that particular hurdle she threw his way. And if they’d always wanted each other unconsciously, would it really have taken them decades to realise it?

This far into the series, the parade from characters from previous books could be bewildering, not having read any of their stories. I was flummoxed at the number of group scenes and the characters whose history I knew nothing about. The focus that I felt should have been on the main pairing was spent on secondary characters and their activities instead—Megan actually dated someone different for a third of the book—, eclipsing a tentative, growing romance which disappointingly fizzled to embers by the end.

Long time friends to lovers book! I loved how Sean kept mementos from when him and Meghan grew up. Loved it!!

This was a slow burn and enjoyable story about two besties who have to explore their attraction but it kinda comes out of nowhere. Sean is shot in Chicago and Megan is a mayor of their small town and she rushes off to Chicago because they are best friends. There she meets one of Sean's best friends and she dates him in this story.

While I enjoyed the story and characters I hated watching her date his friend. That was the part of the story I really did not like. Meanwhile Sean as he recuperates has feelings for her though it takes her a while to see it.

f you don't mind a love triangle then this is a story you will enjoy. I don't like love triangles so it put me off this story and I cringed alot when she was dating this guy.

I loved this book! After reading the first in the series, I just knew I'd already read about my favorite Flaherty brother, but I like Sean's story every bit as well as I did Conor's. Nan Reinhardt captures so well the feel of the Southern Indiana Wine Trail. Megan is a strong and likable heroine. Seeing the protagonists' discovery (and horror) that their best-buddyship has a whole new thing going on is both funny and touching. I am excited about the next Flaherty Brothers book, but first I want to read this one again.

The story of Sean and Megan, the second book in this series.

Sean is back home to recover from a a shooting which left him seriously injured. He is home amongst his brothers, but also best friend Megan. The longer he spends at home, the more he realises he wants to stay there, and not return to his stressful life in Chicago. Will he have a chance with Megan after realising he wants to be more than just friends?

With this being the book of the "The Four Irish Brothers Winery" series I have read, I have to say it was an enjoyable experience. If you don't know me by now I've always been a sucker for the friends to lovers trope and the author did a great job putting these two characters together. The relatable lead characters that held a close bond and friendship, and overall cute romance story made it a decent read despite how I was displeased by the rush ending. It could have definitely ended with a better note but overall, a good read.

This is Sean and Megan‘s book, Sean and Megan have been best friends since grade school, Sean is a high powered Chicago attorney and Megan is a small town mayor, from their small town where they went to school together. Sean has an angry clients ex shoot him!! Twice!! Megan rushes to be by his side! Shawn now decides to return to Rivers edge his small town home to recuperate from his injuries, Megan decides that she can take care of him! This book was really good! I was very shocked at how good it was! It’s a little low on the steam but it was a good read so it didn’t make a difference to me LOL I was a little surprised that it was Megan who was standoffish in their relationship she just wanted to remain friends Shawn wanted a little more LOL I definitely recommend reading this one I definitely enjoyed it! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
