Finn is raising his daughter and running his family ranch and needs help. Callie is Wendy's teacher and sees that this family is heading for trouble so she volunteers to watch Wendy for the summer . She hopes to convince Finn that Wendy is bored and acting out. Both Finn and Callie discover that their dreams of the future don't always turn out like expected and sometimes what's best is right in front of them. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads well as a stand alone. This was sort of an impractical book. Finn is a rancher but wants to go back to the rodeo. Sallie is a teacher turned nanny. But I have to hand it to them both for reaching.for their dreams, and realizing that some things aren't meant to be. 3 stars

An enjoyable romance story about widowed rancher, Finn, and Callie, his daughter's teacher turned nanny. The little girl, Wendy, was brilliant and cute and all she wanted was some attention from her daddy. Callie has the summer to try and get Finn to spend quality time with his daughter before she starts her new dream job in New York City. Finn has other plans, like keeping his late wife's family ranch going and getting back into his rodeo career. Sometimes life just gets in the way of your plans and ends up working the way it needs to for everyone.
If you are looking for a quick, easy read then The Rancher's Unexpected Nanny is the book for you.

I received an advance readers copy from NetGalley for an 'honest review.

I have read a few books by this author now and she always writes and enjoyable story and this one was no different!

I really enjoyed getting to meet the different characters and I thought that this story was good but on a personal note I did think that the amount of detail was distracting at times which made the story have an uneven flow for me.

It is 4 stars from me for this one, it is an enjoyable story and I liked the character development too.

The book is a simple romance. Of a man who is selfish and can't move beyond his loss than making out with his daughter kindergarten teacher\nanny. The story move quickly the characters are ok nothing stands out they blend into the background of the story that lacks any get up and go.

The story moves slowly from page to page as the characters are on a page.

The Rancher's Unexpected Nanny is a forgettable romance for a reader who needs something to read between flights.

Thank You to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Mary Sue Jackson & Leslie North The Rancher's Unexpected Nanny

This begrudging ex-rodeo rider who states his wife got pregnant and that happened all herself, for this I am sure. (hand over mouth laughing) Anyway, when her father gets injured bad enough, he can’t run the ranch Finn and the family move in so he can run it for him.

I get the impression he never said, “Sure until I can get it in running order with people in place so I can get back on the circuit.” You know owning his manhood. I don’t get that, he did that. Since his father in law seems to hold some powerplay at the ranch.

Life never sees to work in our heads the same in reality. Because three years later his wife passes away. Now here he is single, with a five-year-old daughter, Wendy, and a ranch he never wanted to run. Enter Wendy’s well-meaning teacher who seems to have Wendy’s best interest at heart, but he doesn’t have enough hours in a day for another meeting with Cassie Winter.

First off, he finds her way too attractive well actually beautiful. Which in turn did cause him more stress and to be somewhat testy. Today, what Cassie had to say is that Wendy is extremely gifted causing her to be bored. Not unlike herself as a child. What she feels Wendy needs is to attend a gifted program where she will be around other children with the gift of the same mind.

A private school. But it’s an hour away. She expected the worst when offering the info so she was prepared to say help from a nanny could be the answer. Finn seemed to be receptive to this.

Now, she’s a nanny for the summer. Not quite who she had meant when she mentioned the nanny. Hey, working for a sexy rancher was no hardship. Passing the mother-in-law test was a good thing. She hopes each test would be so easy. Her job now was not only to care and teach Wendy but as she observed the interaction and the schedule, Finn made her, it’s much more.

She needs to find a way for father and daughter who love each other immensely to reengage their lives again as one. Together by interacting more. Can she do it without losing her heart and giving up her dream?

I enjoyed the story and the people around the three main characters who feel a need to bring clarity to Finn and a little to Callie too as to what is truly important. I just felt the couple never connected, Finn is sexy yes, the daughter I feel never became her dad’s priority his first was getting to Callie.

I loved Sam, the bronco rider. He was the one to drive it home finally, as to what is important. Callie’s mom I just did care for.

I give this: 4 stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.

Enjoyed Callie and Finn's love story. Finn needs help and Callie is more than happy to help him with hid daughter. Callie and Finn both have decisions to make that affect both their future. Engaging sweet story.

Cowboy romance that could have been better. I loved the plot. The characters were well thought of. But, somehow Finn was lacking IMHO. I felt that Finn could have been better and this aspect took a lot away from the story.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review. THank you NetGalley!

Finn Henry WAS a rodeo star... Unfortunately he had to give all that up with his family was having issues. A few years later, his wife dies unexpectedly. He poured himself into his ranch and his daughter. Callie is a teacher at little Wendy's school. Wendy and Callie have imprinted on each other, and Callie finds it difficult to make the move across country as planned. She offers up to be a summer Nanny for Finn.. she says it's for extra money but is it?! Is Finn ready to open his heart up again?

Overall a quick and easy summer read. When Callie informs single dad Finn, that his daughter Wendy is bright and should go to a different school he is not sure what to do. The school is farther away, and not sure if he wants his daughter to ride the bus that long. Callie is leaving at the end of the summer, so agrees to be a nanny and work with Wendy over the summer. Not a bad book, but very formula oriented, with little surprises. Would recommend if you want a quick and easy book for a take along this summer.

The ranchers unexpected nanny.

This book had a heartwarming storyline and characters you couldn’t help but root for. I do wish there was more of a back story to some of them but overall it was a lighthearted easy reading kind of book. It took me less than 4 hours overall from cover to cover because I was sucked in and didn’t want to put it down.

There were a few typos and mixed words ‘he’ instead of ‘she’ etc but nothing that could take away from the story.

I did really enjoy the book as a whole and would definitely recommend it and look at reading other books from this author.

The Rancher's Unexpected Nanny is an enjoyable story with a good plot and interesting characters for the most part. I have become very fond of Mary Sue Jackson’s work and her stories usually revolve around complex characters and intense circumstances which eventually come to a HEA conclusion.

So while this story had most of those features, I found Finn’s portrayal to be average at best and annoying on occasion too. I realise he was the epitome of the over-worked, dream denied, single dad, trying to juggle all the aspects of his life while providing for his little girl. What I found distracting was his mundane and often vague dialogue, and his overall oblivion to his personal surroundings.

For me personally, Callie and Wendy stole the show and without their wonderful depictions, this book would have been a miserable fail. I’ll continue to read Ms Jackson’s work, as it’s usually thoroughly entertaining, I simply found Finn a boring and indifferent character.
