EXCELLENT READ! This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and you won't be able to stop reading! I read the entire thing in one afternoon, I couldn't stop. A story of a mother's love for her daughter who goes missing and love for her family after a terrible childhood. A tough woman who stands up for her own and never gives up.

This book was a huge miss for me. I had a hard time feeling any sympathy for the characters. The main character, Killian, went to prison for totally maiming the guy who shot her boyfriend. She was never set up to be a character to root for which negated any feelings of her being a hero when she was fighting to get her niece back. It was just inter-rival gang violence. In addition to that, the progression of the story line was incredibly flabbergasting. Killian's niece has been kidnapped and Killian is trying to track her down. Yet, she finds time, on multiple occasions, to take showers, do laundry (seriously!), have a good meal. All I could think was "Lisbeth Salander wouldn't have worried about her clothes being dirty." At one point, after a good night's sleep, Killian is eating breakfast with her partner and he says "After breakfast, I have to go to the shop for a bit. I need to do some work before we visit our old friends." I do not understand this slow casual approach and did not enjoy reading the book.

Killian is a lady who knows violence, and she’s the one that handed it out. Now out of prison she’s got to go up against the same biker she went to jail for trying to kill. This action adventure about this tough chick is one you should read!

Thanks to Netgalley and Hatchette Book Group for a copy of the eARC in exchange for a fair review.

Killian Delaney is no stranger to violence it is why she spent nine years in prison. When her sister calls her to let her know that her niece Shannon is missing. Killian will stop at nothing to get her back. She already knows who took her, and why. It is all buried in the past.

He is the reason she went to jail, the man she left alive after nearly beating him to death. He wants his revenge, one way or another this is going to end with someone dying.

I discovered Kate Kessler through her other series, and I love those books so when I saw this one I knew I had to read it even though it was different book. It almost reads like the start to a new series, but I don't see that there will be more than one featuring Killian.

Kate likes dark characters and Killian is no different then Audrey. They are strong women, but Killian is more prone to violence than Audrey is. I couldn't stop reading this, I wasn't all that shocked by the reveals, but it didn't take away from reading pleasure either. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

I received an electronic copy of this novel on September 6, 2019, from Netgalley, Kate Kessler, and Red Hook Books - Hatchette Book Group. Thank you for sharing your hard work with me. I have read "Seven Crows" of my own volition, and this review reflects my personal opinion of this work. I am happy to recommend this fast-paced mystery/thriller to friends and family. Kate Kessler is an author I will need to follow.

I thoroughly enjoyed Killian Delaney. She is a character I would love to see more of. There are subjects and language not suitable for children, but adults should find it as compelling as I did. We have a galley of persons with questionable talents and jobs, three groups of warring biker dudes and ladies, at least two crime bosses or the like, and people traffickers - a woman recently released from prison after serving time for beating a man nearly to death, a parole officer, several cops, and the odd witness. So not wholesome, but the good guys do what they should, as do the bad guys. Give it a go. This is a fast read, one setting, and popcorn. The nicest thing about Kindle books - popcorn butter washes off of the screen without leaving a stain.

What I Loved: The character Killian was such a strong woman. I was engrossed with her character. You remember that little movie, Taken, well she's the female version of that dad. Kate Kessler wrote a book that played like an action movie in my head. Every description she used was just the right one, and I loved it.

How I Felt: This was a gritty, descriptive book and every time someone landed a punch, I knew exactly how they were feeling. The writing was so well done, I could picture everything. I felt nervous for characters, hoping they were making the right decisions, worried if they would make it out alive. It was a suspense-filled thriller and had me on the edge of my seat.

To Read or Not To Read: This book is perfect for action/thriller lovers. It is full of moving pieces with some mystery and secrets revealed. There's very little down-time. The book is fast-paced, moving right along.

What's This Book About Anyway?
Killian Delaney has just been released from prison for beating a man to within an inch of his life. She's a bit of a celebrity in the underground circles for this, but she has made an enemy as well. The man she maimed beyond repair, the leader of a biker gang, wants revenge for ruining his life.

Killian's sister Megan, calls her with the terrifying news that Megan's daughter, Killian's niece is missing. Killian is immediately set on a course to get her back and no one will stand in her way. She now needs to step back into her old life with bike gangs and outside-the-law friends to save her niece.

This was my first experience with this author and what a ride. Kate Kessler offers a hard-hitting plot that moves quickly while weaving through the dark past and present of the main character, Killian Delaney. The characterization is brilliant and wickedly fun. Kessler creates a cast of characters that no one really wants to like but that ultimate underlying need to create a protagonist ends up winning. Absolutely loved this book. 5 stars!

Thank you to #NetGalley for this ARC of #SevenCrows, which I read and reviewed voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This timely thriller is a solid purchase for collections where the genre is popular. An easy hand-sell to fans of Save Me From Dangerous Men.

I wanted to like this book. It had a lot of things working for it - elements of suspense, a strong female lead, family that supports each other through thick and thin, immediate feelings of noir.

Unfortunately, I found the writing too cliched. It didn't work for more, but that doesn't mean it won't work for every one.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.

Killian been in jail for ten years after getting revenge on the man Rank responsible for her lover Jason death.

When she is release from prison she learns from her sister Megan that her 15 year old niece Shannon is missing that she been taken by the gangs as payback for what she did to their leader Rank as does everything to get her niece back all the while trying to adjust being back on the outside.

This was a good read I like that she a MMA fighter I always wanted to learn the dialogue in this book was good I like her relationship with her family even though it was hard for her to connect. I hope we get to read more about her.

I really enjoyed this new thriller by Kate Kessler and look forward to some of her other books. Ex-con Killian Delaney spent almost ten years in prison for seeking vengeance on the man responsible for killing her lover. She is MMA trained and can do more damage to someone with her training which helped her survive those years in prison. When her fifteen-year old niece is abducted, she knows the gangs are getting back at her and going back to prison will be worth it to save her niece. A great cast of unusual characters that although a little shady…they have Killian’s back. There is war between biker gangs, drugs, human trafficking and through all of this is Killian with her own set of values and the will to do what is necessary to survive. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

This is the first book I have read by Kate Kessler and it won't be that last. I can't wait to get my hands on everything she has written.

Seven Crows is a story about a woman who ran with the Crows, just one of the gangs in the area.
When a rival gang kills her boyfriend she goes on the attack but leaves the head of the rival gang alive so he can always remember what she did to him when he looks in the mirror. She goes to prison for what she did the the man and has to watch her back inside because all the gangs have people on the inside or people that will do anything if he pays them enough.

When she is released from prison she has to learn how to live on the outside and keep her nose clean.........will she be able to do that?

This story is action packed and you will not want to put it down. Kate Kessler is a MUST read.

I don't know if I would ever want to walk a mile in Killian Delaney's shoes, but I do know that I would never, ever take a single step in the shoes of one of her enemies. Whoa! Killian was one jacked up anti-heroine. As the ex-con and former MMA fighter, she was the one to be feared. She was the alpha in this story. She was a mercenary. She was a living legend. (She was something!) The simple premise of the story was one of revenge and redemption. The pacing was lightening quick, supported by a gritty narrative and a caustic dialog that pulled no punches. If you're looking for a tale with a physically invincible yet emotionally scarred heroine, you'll love this book. Although MC tales are not my sub-genre of choice—along with a great deal of violence—I really enjoyed this book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Redhook Books, and Kate Kessler for an ARC of 'Seven Crows' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with the ARC. This has to be one of my favorite tropes in books and movies and I was thrilled to start it! Without spoiling anything, I love it when an ex-con is the hero and goes on a journey to save someone! It just makes me giddy inside. The pace, writing, atmosphere, characters, everything was what I was looking for in this read! Will be reading more from this author in the future!

If you are looking for a lily white, pure as the driven snow heroine…look elsewhere. Killian Delaney is an ex con with a debatable set of morals, and now that she’s out of prison, she intends to find out who has taken her niece. The girl has become entangled with a nasty gang of bikers, the kind of people who would just as soon shoot you as look at you, the kind who are willing to do anything to make a buck. And to make matters worse, their leader is the man Killian beat to a pulp, and the reason she went to jail. This time when she goes after the gang, there won’t be any witnesses left. Gritty, intense and utterly fascinating

Woooooweeee!! When I read the synopsis for Seven Crows I was really hoping it would live up to my expectations and let me say it definitely did that (and much, much more)! The storyline was razor sharp and not for the faint, but I found it completely addictive! I love reading novels with a strong female lead and Killian Delaney is 100% bad-@ss that is full of snark and sass! I really enjoy novels that involve motorcycle clubs, but they typically don’t have a female as the lead, so Seven Crows got major points from me for that combo! I was in the mood for an action packed read and this 5 star novel delivered! I haven’t read Kate Kessler before, but I am really looking forward to reading more from her in the future!
