This is a fascinating look at why America can win wars, but can't sustain the peace in the aftermath. As a diplomat, I found this to be very informative as to why my job is done the way it is done.

Sorry for the late review. I am just getting round to them now as I’ve had a rough few months.. I have notes for the books that I reviewed but they may be cut short to get through them.

My husband is in the army so I like to read about ideas and non - fiction in regards to war/army etc. I seen this and thought I’d give it a try.
What I noticed was it was easy to read and grasp the ideas and concepts that the author has written about. Where they’re coming from, and how they got there.
As my husband isn’t in the American army but the NZ we aren’t so much an “attack first ask questions later” army and are generally a peace keeping army. So it was interesting reading about the “winning” mindset of an army and how it comes into play seeing as our army doesn’t so much need to be like that.

Good and enjoyable read,

Very interesting read. It’s not usually my type of genre. But it’s a topic I’m interested in. The book was well written and flowed very well. Learned a lot. Lots of interesting information in here

The author's painstaking research and attention to detail is obvious in the writing of this book. There were many facts that I only discovered after reading this!
