A well paced and topical thriller with a good protagonist in Livia. I'd not read the earlier books in the series but this was still a page turner as a standalone.

Livid Lone is a bad ass detective who is a product of trafficking herself. This time sround she is currently working on finding two serial rapists who have been working together for many years and will stop at nothing to find them. As in all the Eisler books, there is non-stop action and great characters. It's hard to put this one down! #netgalley provided me with this title fir an honest review.

I haven't read the other books in this series and maybe I should have. Maybe it would have been a five star review instead as there are some references I didn't get. Besides that, the book was great and an enjoyable, engaging read. Hard to put down and it made me think about the story long after I finished the book.

Wow, just wow. This was a fast paced thriller with plenty of action and suspense. I have not read the first three books in this series but will certainly do so now. I couldn’t put it down! It is very well researched and written.
Many thanks to Thomas & Mercer and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of All the Devils. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

Seattle detective Livia Lone is back, once again diving deep into the predatory world. Homeland Security Investigations agent B.D. Little asks Livia for help when a set of current cases intersects with old ones, as one of the cold cases holds personal significance to the agent. When Livia jumps headlong into danger, who will have her back this time?

I have liked all of the Livia Lone novels, not only because of the mental and physical strength of the main character, but also because of the thrilling pace and well thought out stories. All the Devils was the weakest novel in the series, as the plot itself was a bit predictable and a little bit ordinary. Livia's dogged determination to discover the truth, coupled with mad skills and a strong intellect, do not come through all that well in this novel. I would recommend All the Devils to readers of the previous novels, as the little nuances of this character would be lost without prior knowledge of Livia Lone. I would like to read more featuring Livia, as I feel that her story is not yet finished.

My favorite current series. Eisler does such a great job keeping Livia Lone series fresh and engrossing. Looking forward to the next one.

Once more Eisler give us a timely thriller about abuse and impunity bby men who feel untouchable. Another great entry in the Livia Lone series, I think the best so far.

Hate! She didn't mind hate. In fact she welcomed it. She had lived with hate most of her life. Hate was what had given her the strength to save herself, hate was what drove her to avenge. Justice was her vehicle but hate was the fuel it ran on.

Livia Lone is my new heroine! Complex, tough, soft, emotionally controlled, don't touch me or you will die. I want to know what makes her tick. She is driven by her own past with Sex trafficking. From a victim to a survivor to a warrior for other victims.

Livia needs to lay low. Chief of police is waiting for her to come down. She has been asked by her lieutenant and good friend to keep clean and out of trouble. But when Homeland Security Investigations agent B. D. Little approaches her with favor regarding his missing daughter of ten years, she can't say no. She feels his pain of not knowing and as a father driven to find out what happened and bring justice, she has been there and the feelings and emotions that arise from her sense of justice it becomes her air to breathe. He has given her a theory and together the theory is a nightmare of the #metoo movement. A sinister, dark and too powerful to stop.

You know all the players but how do you stop the political machine. With guts and bravo and Liva Lone. Fast paced!

A Special Thank you to Thomas Mercer and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

A martial arts specialist, Livia Lone is an unstoppable police detective who does not waiver in her pursuit of sexual predators no matter how well they’re connected. This book deals with rape and phycological abuse. I found some of the depictions produced in the writing disturbing. Despite my subject matter repugnance, the book is well researched and written; I wouldn’t have expected anything less from Barry Eisler, the author.

While I much more enjoyed the author’s other books about characters John Rain and Dox, the suspense and drama of the Livia Lone series are just as good as that in either of those series. All the Devils is a book that’s difficult to put down as the suspense keeps the reader captured.

A further Lone story, taking on the bigger monsters. No-one is safe from revenge.
Another ripping read from BE

Barry Eisler never disappoints. His background in intelligence lends the needed authenticity to his tight and intricately woven plots. He has also managed to keep his series characters alive and interesting without them developing super-powers like some others ("Prey" series, I'm looking at you.) The characters mature and age and get tired and, in this case, settle scores. The hand to hand action is without parallel. I am never disappointed by one of Barry's books and they become inspiration for my own writing.

Even without reading the two earlier books in this series ("Livia Lone" and "The Night Trade"), "All The Devils" is an absolute riot... and I know this because, before picking up this book, I'd never heard of the borderline psychopathic Seattle cop who can barely even go for a cup of coffee without ambitiously slaughtering at least a handful of bads guys.

An absolutely riotous slaughterhouse, pinned to a genuinely gripping story, "All The Devils" finds Livia doing her best to stay on the right side of her police department superiors' idea of the law. But somehow, she can't help herself, repaying a favor for Homeland Security buddy Little, and setting out on a mission which ought to br suicidal, and very nearly is.

A serial rapist who just happens to be a high flying congressman would be a tricky target at the best of times. But when his father is the Vice President, then things really get ugly. Eisler, meanwhile, is the kind of author who simply cannot resist a savage twist - Livia is a hard ut, for sure. But her adversaries are scarcely lightweights either, and if the story is basically your typical cat and mouse game, both cat and mouse are the size of Manhattan, and it's sometimes difficult to tell who is who.

A breathless page turner that you really won't want to put down, I was already imagining further Livia Lone adventures long before I realized I'd already missed two. I'm off to hunt them down now, You should pick this one up.

I'd never read a book by Barry Eisler until I was offered the third book in his Livia Loan series by Amazon Prime. Seeing that it was the third book in the series I went hunting for the first two and was hooked. Knowing Livia Lone's background and how she comes to be a tenacious sex-crime detective is the fact that she has suffered at the hands of those who victimize. Livia does not back down from a fight and her actions keep her wondering if she will still have her job with the Seattle Police Department each time she resolves her latest case. This time she is called on by her friend B.D. Little, from Homeland Security, to help answer the question of what happened to his 15 year old daughter who disappeared without a trace 15 years before. As the truth begins to unfold you are at the edge of your seat as Little and Lone seek the answers finding potential problems of dealing with a sitting U.S. Vice President and his son Congressman Boomer Kane. Kane and his former Special Ops partner appear to be serial rapists with Kane's victimizing going back to his high school years. The action is none stop and will keep you on the edge of your seat as Lone and Little race to stop events unfolding of death, rape, lies, and coverup.

Worlds continue to colldie as Livia Lone starts to become more interwined with John Rain and his life. Great story and excellent suspense!

All the Devils is the fourth book in the Livia Lone series about a Seattle Detective with an unusual past, which is now firmly on my favourites list.
While you could read this as a stand-alone, I strongly recommend starting at the beginning for the full impact, not only of Livia’s history and evolving character arc, but also for all the cameos to make sense. This one is probably the best yet!

Set a few weeks after The Killer Collective, Livia is back at work and trying to keep a low profile to appease Chief Best, who is (rightly) suspicious of her, so the last thing she needs is renegade Homeland Security Investigator BD Little asking for her help on another covert mission. Obsessed by the disappearance of his teenage daughter ten years earlier, he has been tracking similar cases and realises that after a seven year gap, they have started up again. We learn that the killers are two former Special Forces soldiers, one an ex-convict called Snake, and Boomer, now a congressman, and the son of the Vice-President who will do anything to cover up his son’s “indiscretions”. How will Livia stop these evil predators with all the forces ranged against her? With a little help from her friends...

This was another fast paced violent, but not gratuitous, action thriller, from an author whose background as a CIA spy and meticulous research - evidenced by the references and links in the afterword - guarantee a scarily compulsive read. I adore bad-ass female heroines, and Livia’s background as the victim of child sex trafficking from Thailand makes her a fascinating protagonist. The fight scenes are superbly described but so is her deductive reasoning as she pieces together the clues to identify and go after the devils. The ending was brilliant with the reappearance of one of my favourite Eisler characters. Hopefully this is not the end of Livia’s adventures though!

I’ve read all four of the series plus a novella within a couple of months and definitely plan to read the Rain series too. For fellow fans looking for similar series, I highly recommend the Huntress series by Alexandra Sokoloff which has similar themes and an equally intriguing heroine.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc which allowed me to give an honest review. All the Devils is available now.

All The Devils by Barry Eisler
Livia Lone #3

When I met Livia Lone in The Killer Collective I knew that I had found a series I would love to follow for the foreseeable future. That book was perhaps book three in the Livia Lone series but also a book in two other series I had never heard of. When I saw this book up for review I knew I wanted to find out what Livia would be tackling next. Her focus is on sexual predators and putting them away, one way or another, and this book continues that theme.

When Livia is approached by someone that lost his daughter ten years before she wasn’t sure she wanted to help out but one favor she could do...and that favor drug her into a rather serious and deadly situation. It was definitely more deadly for the bad guys who tried to take her out than it was for Livia but deadly it was throughout the book.

There were two scum-bucket bad guys who were serial rapists that sometimes “disappeared” the women they preyed upon. One was in the public eye and the other his friend from the military. I have to say that these two men made me hope they would get their just desserts before the end of the book. They were truly warped and without compassion of any sort.

The search for who the rapists were was intense. The people called for information were high up the ladder sometimes and Livia was lucky to know them. I admired Livia’s strength, tenacity and will to do what she felt was right. I would definitely like to have her on my side if I were in trouble.

When I finished this book I was satisfied the story was told but was left eager to find out what Livia will be doing in the next book and whether or not her relationship with Carl will continue and take on more substance as time goes by.

This book flows. I was caught up in the beginning and kept engaged till the end. I could “see” what was happening and felt it was believable in all the important ways. At some point in time I need to find books one and two and read those as I have a feeling there is more about Livia’s early life that I should at some point read although I have a fairly good idea what her life was like from glimpses read in the two books read so far.

Did I like this book? Yes
Would I like to read more in this series? Without a doubt

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the ARC – This is my honest review.

All The Devils by Barry Eisler is an action-packed mystery thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. This is the fourth book in the series and because I have not read the previous books it took me a while to understand what was going on. It would help if there was a recap for those that read this book out of order.

It has been ten years since Homeland Security Investigator Little's daughter is kidnapped along with seven other girls. Agent Little has still to this day not been able to find any clues on what happened or who committed these crimes. Now the disappearances have started again. Frustrated Agent Little, facing roadblocks on every corner enlists the help of Livia Lone, Seattle's sex-crime detective.

Together they go after two serial rapists who believe are above the law and have the ability to get away with anything because of the powers protecting them.

Definitely a great read.

I was provided this book free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

Homeland Security Investigations agent B. D. Little's daughter Presley vanished 10 years ago. Obsessed, Little found seven other girls taken across the country and then the crimes stopped for 7 ears. But now, the disappearances have begun again. Little asks Seattle sex-crimes detective Livia Lone, the most obsessive hunter of predators Little knows, for help. Soon, Livia concludes the serial rapist killers are Special Forces veterans with a dozen tours in Iraq between them. And one of them is Bradley "Boomer" Kane III, congressman and son of the vice president of the United States. The elder Kane is willing to use all his power to protect his son’s secrets and further his own ambitions.

When two former high school classmates of Boomer's go missing or are killed, Livia fears for the third woman, Sherrie Dobbs. It's a race against time for Livia and Little to protect her from these predators. A thrilling search and confrontation take place along the deserted Salton Sea.

This was an action-packed and creepy read. Livia Lone once again demonstrates that she is a kick-ass character that will do anything for revenge.

I received an eARC from Netgalley and Thomas & Mercer with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and provided this review.

This is the first time that i have read any books by Barry Eisler and therefore hadn't read the previous three books in the Livia Lone series. I really do recommend that you read the previous books first, as this book in my opinion, doesn't work too well as a stand alone and can be a little confusing. Nonetheless, i did enjoy and hope to read the previous books soon.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy.
