I did not finish - I have tried reading this book on multiple occasions and just could not get into it.

The Adventures of Samba Rat and Friends is an interesting story. Steven Munsie seems to capture a fantasy story line with talking animals that younger elementary children will enjoy. Unfortunately it is written at a much older level. I would place the reading level at upper elementary or even middle school. I think the book would probably be a good one for second or third graders with a much higher reading level. It may also work for a read aloud. I found this story to be very slow moving. This book may be one for those who love dragon stories.

I would not have a problem adding The Adventures of Samba Rat and Friends to my K-12 Christian School library - I'm just not sure how much use it would get.

I got a complimentary e-copy through NetGalley.

ARC Copy...wished it went on for longer however it was a decent fantasy to read with dragons (obviously) + greek mythology incorporated into the narrative.
