The perfect holiday read full of emotion, family, friends and finding love when you least expect it. Plus, plenty of Christmas activities that will warm your heart.

Harper has arrived in Creedence for one thing, to get her son back in her custody. Logan has a need for a housekeeper/cook really quick and Hunter is the perfect fit. No romantic interest is a must, but soon their banter and friendship will turn into so much more. Until Hunter's secret comes out and it might ruin everything.

This is a book that I could not put down. Logan and Hunter are a favorite couple of mine, loved their banter, sexual chemistry and how they helped each other out in their trust issues. There are so many laugh out moments, the marshmallow eating cow and the pie eating goat are the best.

This book is part of a series of hockey/cowboys but can be read as a stand alone, but then you will went to go back and read the rest of these hot guys!!

📕MY REVIEW📕
This is the fourth book in the Cowboys of Creedence series and my first time reading anything by this author. I have not read the previous books in this series and I was not lost at all. The author provides enough back story with all the characters that you pretty will know what's going on. The characters were very well developed and likeable.Logan and Harper easily drew me into their world as their bittersweet story had me cheering them on. I fell in love with this beautiful heartwarming story from the very first page and instantly connected with Harper. She had me when she was starving herself yet willing to pay for a little boy’s cheeseburger with the last of her money , knowing she could only afford a bowl of soup for herself. After everything she had been through she was always doing things for others ,all while fighting to get her son back. I just wanted to reach through the book and hug her. The story definitely kept me turning the pages all the way to the satisfying end. This would make a perfect Hallmark Christmas movie.
Many thanks to the publisher , author , and netgalley for a ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

WISH UPON A COWBOY had me hook from the first page and never let go until Logan and Harper found that happy ever after ending. We met Logan earlier in this series and I’ll confess that I’ve been waiting to learn his story. Harper is almost living a Country song since “if it weren’t for bad luck she’d have no luck at all” or so it seems as disaster after heartache takes over her life. These two are meant for each other but it’s going to take a bit of work to discover that or maybe actually do something about that attraction that sparks between them. Each is fighting battles right now and there is so much on the line to be lost if they aren’t careful. Watching them come together as friends, begin a romantic possibility, and stand by each other as the bad times come facing it all at each other’s back was an emotional, delightful, and completely enjoyable experience.

We’ll run into well-known characters, watch a town take Harper under their wing as one young couple join together to make a new family in WISH UPON A COWBOY. This is perfect for a Christmas story with strong love, family, and forgiveness front and center. I had fun with Logan and Harper’s romance and I believe you would, too.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This book was filled with fun and sexy moments as well as second chances. Some events around the climax were wrapped up too quickly for what seemed realistic but nevertheless I was happy with how the story wrapped up. It was well-paced for most of the book and the sexual tension between the two characters felt tangible. It was an enjoyable read.

Wish Upon a Cowboy by Jennie Marts is book number four in the Cowboys of Creedence series. This is Logan Rivers and Harper Evans’ story.

Another great read by this author. I love the humor and intense chemistry this author brings to the story that I can’t put it down. Logan and Harper’s characters were so much fun. You can’t help but falling in love with them. A great way to escape from daily stress.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Logan and Harper are everything I’ve hoped for since book one of this series. Marts is a master at creating the perfect compliments to her characters and Harper is no exception. Their holiday romance is my favorite of this year.

Karma has not been nice to Harper Evans, but she isn’t letting that stop her. She is a very strong female character that got caught up in a bad situation. You can feel the love for her son on the pages, and her determination to anything and everything she can for him are what really won me over. It didn’t hurt that she was willing to sacrifice for others - the true holiday spirit. And I was happy when karma finally came calling back to deliver her rewards.

Part of her reward was a whole slew of new friends, starting with the waitress at the diner who talks her into trying for a job as a housekeeper for a local rancher, Logan. Logan is sick of housekeepers trying to turn themselves into his girlfriend. Reading the last evening with his most recent one was hilarious and quite messy in a not-fun way. He’s your typical tough guy rancher. I don’t think he was as unique a character as Harper, but definitely a good guy through and through.

They have a lot to work through, the biggest being Harper not mentioning her past or her child when they first become close. She’s certain it will be the end of everything for them. The town and its citizens were amazing. I loved all the unique characters and personalities. Some surprised me, and some were a bit more expected, but they made a community that I’d love to be a part of more often.

This book has both on-page sex and cursing including f-bombs. If those things will cause you to leave a bad review, you should reconsider whether this book is for you.

SPOILERS in this entire review.

This book is really well-written. I love Ms. Marts' sense of humor, and her ability to write really heartfelt main characters and side-characters that are amazing but that don't detract from the main story.

Harper's backstory was really interesting. Women who have been in jail aren't common in romance novels, but I liked the way that Jennie Marts made her story realistic and heart-wrenching. I liked Harper a lot, the way that she – internally, anyway - took the blame for her bad choices, and then she scrapped and fought and still did good things for everyone around her despite the fact that she didn't have much of anything herself. All that said, I struggled with her, also. I hated her decision to lie to Logan and to continue to lie to him as they built a relationship. It was annoying at the beginning, but it infuriated me that once they started getting to know each other, once they built a real connection, that she didn't trust him enough to at least mention that she had a son to him. Especially since the reason she went to jail was she waited too long to tell the truth about her actions. I definitely get why she didn't at first, but the fact that she selfishly let it go on turned the romance from sweet to sour for me to the point where I had to skip the sex scenes because it just felt dirty and wrong because it was based on a mountain of lies. (I also struggled with her decisions regarding Floyd, but I know that was all vital to the “Christmas miracle” part of this story, so I can let that slide because I liked the happily ever after with Judith.)

I wish I lived in this magical world where a woman can ride on a bus for 19 hours, go only own a duffle bag of clothing, sleep in a barn, and yet still be beautiful and “smell like vanilla and flowers” on day three of having no shower. Romance novel reality is hilarious.

Despite the issues I had with Harper and her lies by omission, the story was still really good and I recommend it to anyone who wants a quick, sweet read. I really, really hope that Brynn and Zane's story follows.

Wonderful Christmas Romance! This is a wonderful Christmas Romance about second chances that turn into new beginnings.

A Christmas story through and through, “Wish Upon a Cowboy” begins to tug at your heartstrings the moment you meet Harper Evans getting off the bus at the small town of Creedence, Colorado.

Down on her luck and flat broke, Harper still gave her last $5 to hungry little boy so that he can have hamburger and fries. And from that generosity, life also became generous to Harper. She found a job that same day and the next day, she found her son though she was not yet ready to approach him.

Rancher and hockey coach Logan Rivers did have a lot of luck with women. Yet, when he met Harper, he was ready to throw caution to the wind and pursue her. There was one big obstacle though. He just hired Harper to his housekeeper!

Two lonely hearts under one roof easily turned into romance. Both still wary because of their past, Logan and Harper found it very hard to trust. There was so much baggage between the two of them that they need a Christmas miracle to reach their happily ever after.

A light read, “Wish Upon a Cowboy” is short and sweet. Best time to read it is on a lazy afternoon when you can drink tea or wine (whichever you prefer). Laugh a little and cry a little with Harper and Logan; you’ll feel so good when you finish the book.

“Wish Upon a Cowboy” is Rated T for Teens due to some sexual content which is not graphic. Parental guidance strongly advised.

Logan Rivers is trying to find a housekeeper, cook. His problem is the women he hires want more than a job they want a husband, him. He does not want to get married or looking for anyone. His new hire which is either being fired or quitting because he will not take her to bed has deposed of lunch in the sink, with the rolls being tossed at him.
Harper Evans had made it to Colorado from Kansas, she was in in the town because she wanted to get her son Floyd back form the grandmother. First, though she needed a job. Got one at Logan’s ranch, two she actually began helping him not only in the house and with feeding him, but also out on the range with the cattle. She helps him with some of the paperwork for the ranch and just when you think everything is going well it becomes mud. Now she feels like she is back where she has lost everything and must start over. Will Logan put aside his past fears and come to her aid or will he stay locked in his anger and hurt. Read this good story to find out what happens.

Logan is quite charming as the bachelor rancher in need of a cook/housekeeper. Harper has stumbled upon the job as she is desperate for money to reunite with her son. With plenty of secrets kept hidden she and Logan get along great. But, things become predictable and it's no surprise how things work out. I really liked Logan and his personality, however I couldn't connect with Harper and her reasons for keeping secrets. I enjoyed the whole series, definitely fun loving romantic reads with true cowboys and a love of hockey. My copy came through Netgalley, review given voluntarily.

Wish Upon a Cowboy is the fourth book in Jennie Marts Cowboys of Creedence series, and Logan is definitely one sexy, long drink of water! Harper on the other hand is a down on her luck, single mum whose solitary goal is to retrieve her son from his grandmother in Creedence. But having travelled from Kansas to Colorado, Harper has nothing left in her kitty and is also desperate for work and a new beginning.

So, what do you get when a lonely, insecure and sexy cowboy meets a nervous, damaged and guarded female? Self-imposed barriers, failure to trust, sheer determination and a whole lot of intense chemistry. Logan and Harper are wonderful characters with baggage and uncertainties that stem from past let-downs, but there is no denying their fragile hearts can only become whole if they let down their defences.

I was totally captivated by this story; the characters are engaging, the plot was believable, and I couldn’t help but have a little fist pump at the end when their HEA finally arrived.

Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆
M/F Romance

Harper is a woman who is just getting herself back together. After trusting her mom one too many times, Harper found herself having to call her mother-in-law to take her son while she had to go to jail for a few months. With a new lease on life, she has taken her last dollars to head to the town where her son is living. She wants to see him, hug him, and take him back home. But when she arrives in town, she needs a job in order to save up money to go back home.

Logan is trying to keep his family's business running while his dad is away helping another family member. Despite his bachelor status, he isn't looking for someone to warm his bed at the moment, which makes his housekeeper's advances very uncomfortable. Having to fire someone he's known for a while because she was more interested in him than doing her job was not the way he wanted to start his day.

With an introduction to Logan, Harper knows that she can do a good job. However, she is also wary of telling people her personal business. She seeks out her son, but bitterness and hatred fly out of her mother-in-law's mouth. Harper has to decide whether or not she truly is the best for her son.

This was a super sweet story. The characters are relatable, and I really enjoyed the townspeople too. When push comes to shove, will the people side with Harper or with her ugly mother-in-law? This story was quick to read but moved along well. The characters were well developed and I liked watching Harper and Logan's relationship build.

Triggers: Custody issues

This is the fourth book in the series, and each one gives us another cowboy's story. Here Logan is about to find love from a most unlikely arrival into town.

Harper has had a rough time of it, yet really has no self-pity, she is just desperate to be reunited with her young son, Floyd. He is in Creedence with his paternal grandmother, Judith. Judith is not keen on Harper ever seeing her son again, which is a fairly extreme reaction to what has happened, but seriously impacts Harper's self-esteem and her confidence. Having arrived in town and found a temp job with Logan, she cannot wait to reunite with her son. Of course, nothing really runs smoothly – but as we get both her and Logan narrating the story, we know exactly how much they are falling for each other, and how difficult that is for both of them to address.

That time with just the two of them as employee/employer gives us a good chance to see what a good person Harper really is, and what a caring, lonely soul Logan is too. The chemistry is great and there is a lovely level of banter and snark between them which really made me chuckle. It is a well-rounded story, which ties up all the slightly worrying loose ends and gives both Logan and Harper exactly what they need as well as who they want!

I really enjoyed this addition to the series, and am looking forward to Zane having a chance sometime soon (hint, hint).

In Wish Upon a Cowboy by Jennie Marts, Harper Evans shows up in Creedence with regrets, bad choices and tragic life events haunting her. I admired this young woman who was going to turn her life around no matter what. Her luck improves as she finds work quickly. Mirroring life she finds help as soon as she steps off the bus. I appreciate that the author continues to show that we do need help sometimes, should not be ashamed of taking it or miss a opportunity to give some.

Logan Rivers the rancher who gives her a job finds himself also in need. As Logan and Harper learn to trust each other, work together and find the love and acceptance that they both need, a little boy finds his mother and a true home. Wonderful story with characters that don’t give up and that sometimes wishes can come true.

Jennie Marts writes fantastic stories including different characters dealing with life issues that have you empathising with them in their struggles and cheering them on to succeed. That is particularly true in this heart warming story in which Harper Evans is determined to honestly regain custody of her beloved eight year old son, Floyd, after her own mother’s activities had landed her in jail. She’s learnt not to trust others but in Creedence she finds people who befriend her, help her and trust her. However, that’s not enough for her late husband’s mother, who is determined to keep custody of her grandson and to keep him away from Harper.

Logan Rivers is a rancher and the coach for the children’s hockey team. He has serious problems with staff until a friend brings Harper to help him. As the two get to know each other, the attraction between them grows. However, both have secrets that they are reluctant to share. Can they learn to trust each other with their worries and with their hearts? You’ll just have to read it for yourself to find out!

This is a moving story with fantastic characters facing struggles alone – until they learn to help each other. It is a lovely story of community, friendship, support and romance that I didn’t want to put down and have no hesitation in highly recommending.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this delightful book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after choosing to read it.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This one about the struggles Harper goes through and trying to change her life around. Also struggles Logan has to deal with himself with how he reacts to his own life. A standalone read but to learn about all characters in the story you want to read all in the series. A great series to pick up.
