I need to preface this review with the fact that this is the first book in the series I have read. Often times you can just jump into any book of a series and catch up pretty quickly. This one had so many characters with back stories that I would have enjoyed it much more if I had read the other books in the series.

The story line is cute, love that it's a modern situation and it was a fun start to have the families meet and come together. Unfortunately, this was my biggest sticking point of this book - the "Italian" family. Mama Gia and her sons come straight from Italy, and sometimes struggle to understand what people are saying in English, yet they say things like:

"While you sleepy-heads were sprawled on the floor, if you must know, I took a cab."

"I ain't touching' notin'."

"Dibs on holding her later."

What?! Dibs! Ain't! It's more like they're from the Jersey Shore than they're from Italy.

Thank you to Goodreads for the ARC of this book for a fair and honest review.
