Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors. Really enjoyed reading the original series. Can't wait to read this new book!!

I am so grateful to Marie Lu for letting us spend time in this amazing world. I couldn’t read this fast enough!

I loved this sampler! The Legend trilogy was a big part of my teen-hood, so I cannot wait to see where Lu takes her characters in this fourth installment. If this sampler is anything to go off of, it's going to be fantastic.

This book was received as an ARC from Macmillan Children's Publishing Group - Roaring Brook Press in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I absolutely love this series and to read the latest installment, I knew I was in for an exciting novel. Rebel continues with the stories of Daniel and Eden and how Daniel is overcoming his past when he was known as Day, a boy on the streets with a dark past turned National Hero and now working for the top organization in the land. He is now looking out for his brother Eden trying to have him stay out of trouble so now caught up in the moment, Daniel has to find a way from balancing the stress of his job to the stress of keeping his family safe. Every moment was a page turner and the book keeps you invested from beginning to end. A wonderful series filled with excitement.

We will consider adding this title to our YFantasy collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this, as I thought the story came to a good conclusion with the 3rd book. This sample of the book shows a promising beginning!

It seemed good for a chapter sampler. Can't go into much detail with only 60 pages. I am excited to see what Marie Lu does with this world since we have been gone from it for so long.

I did not realize Marie Lu was writing the fourth book in the Legend series, one of my absolute favorites! Students are going to be clamoring for this title in my media center. The copy I received was just a teaser, but right away I was rooting for Eden, Day’s younger brother, as he struggles to establish his identity. The beginning chapters alternated between Eden and Day’s point of view as they adjust to life in Ross City, Antarctica. I kept waiting for June to make an appearance, but I guess I will just have to wait until October when the book is released!

I somehow missed that this was a sampler. It did answer two important questions for me however: a) I am going to have to read this title when it is released, and b) I don't think I need to reread the trilogy to find out where I am.

This is a form of torture! I was so hooked and yet I couldn't complete the book! Marie Lu managed to get me attached to the charaters and story in so few pages! This might be my most anticipated for the year.

I was so excited to see Marie Lu wrote a new book in this series. I already pre-order a copy for my library and can't wait. If the rest of the story is as good as the sample chapter this will be amazing.

Was not aware that this was just a chapter sampler... I cannot give this a good rating without reading the rest of the story however I am excited to dive in even more now.

I love the way Marie Lu writes! Her characters always feel realistic and unique. After previewing the chapters of Rebel, I am so excited for the rest of the book! The relationship between Day and Eden feels very genuine and true, and their concerns and thoughts feel true to their past experiences. The descriptions of their new home make me incredibly curious to learn more about their world. Already within these first pages, I felt compelled to highlight many sentences that speak truth about our own world in their new dystopian world. Can't wait for more!

I did not realize this was just a chapter sampler! Very sad. I don't feel equipped to review this book at all, and my star rating is completely made up because I didn't read the entire book.

Loved the chapter sampler, but would like to read it all! I can’t wait for this installment to be published. Kids are going to love it!

What a wonderful teaser and quick return to Lu’s fabulous Legend series. Oh, I want more! (And I truly hope there is...this left the reader hanging by fingertips from a cliff.) We pick up a month after Day and June’s last meeting in Champion. Day and his younger brother Eden are living in Antarctica in a strained relationship. Told in alternating POVs, the reader sees how the rebellion a decade prior impacted each brother differently. Lots of heart, emotion, and depth of character.

I love the trilogy and I can't wait to read this book! This sampler was such a tease.
I am looking forward to seeing Day and June a little older and I hope!!!! end up together. I like Eden and look forward to seeing what happens with his character. I am curious to see what other characters might pop up from the original trilogy.
The sampler read just like the original trilogy and made me want to go back and reread it! October can't come quick enough.

Aaaagh, it's only a chapter sampler, but oh my God, it's SO GOOD YOU GUYS. I fricking love Marie Lu's Legend series - it's one of my favorite YA series that I've ever read ever - so when I heard that Lu would be continuing the series with Rebel, the fangirlish squeal I let out might have broken the sound barrier. And these first few chapters are so tantalizingly good, it's like getting a single square of a delicious chocolate bar, but you can't have the whole bar until October...I absolutely want the whole thing now, but for now I'm going to have to dig in my heels and wait. If you're a huge fan of the Legend series and can't wait for Rebel, this sampler will definitely raise your anticipation level to Mt. Everest-like heights.

Is it October yet?
