This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it did not disappoint! I really enjoyed the multiple POV, and trying to put together the many pieces of this puzzle. Felt a tad too long at times, but otherwise enjoyed it!

I really looked forward to the release of The Other Mrs. This story is told by multiple POV’s. The main character Sadie was hard to love. She and her husband Will recently move to a sleepy, creepy town in Maine when they inherit a house that was owned by his sister (the same house she committed suicide in). They inherit the creepy Imogen, Will’s niece (who is goth with a major attitude) along with the house and Sadie begins to regret their decision. Their new neighbor Is soon murdered, and Sadie takes it upon herself to solve the crime. The book moved at a fairly fast pace and while reading it was easy to piece together the pieces to get a good understanding of how the book would end. To me it wasn’t a true thriller, and the characters were hard to like.

If you like dark and twisty psychological mysteries, this book is for you. A family seeks a fresh start in a new town, and it turns into a waking nightmare for the wife and mom. I truly did not expect the ending and had to go back and reread parts once it came. I have read all of Mary Kubica's books, and this is far and away one of the best.

The Other Mrs. is a fast-paced read with an intriguing premise. Sadie and Will move to a small town in Maine looking for a fresh start after an incident that happened in Chicago. They inherited an old house and a niece to care for following the passing of Will’s sister who committed suicide. One of their neighbors is murdered, and it hits too close to home. Sadie finds herself lost in the drama surrounding the victim. But all is not what it seems. Sadie suddenly finds herself in danger.

There are multiple POV’s: Sadie, a little girl named Mouse, “The Other Woman,” and Will. I figured out the twist early on, but I didn’t mind since I was more interested in seeing how a certain issue was going to be revealed. I think where the author lost me is when a new twist happened that left me with so many questions. I was disappointed it never got resolved.
Overall, I liked that it was a fast read, but the ending was a big disappointment for me.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

After moving to a small town in Maine to look after their niece, Sadie and Will feel like it's a fresh start to their marriage as well. But soon after a neighbor is murdered and the new family on the street is the one under suspicion. Sadie begins to look into the life of the murdered neighbor and begins to wonder if there is more going on with the situation that brought her there than she thought.

This was an interesting plot to say the least. Told from multiple points of view, you follow Sadie as she deals with the deception in her marriage and another woman who has her eye on Sadie's husband Will. There are also interesting twists throughout that make the story very addictive. This definitely a thriller.
The only negative I have to say about this story is I found it too easy to figure out the major twist. So I knew what was coming with the major plot twist. I did enjoy all the smaller ones I didn't see coming.

This is definitely a good book for suspense fans and someone looking for a hard to put down story.

It's not a good sign when you're around chapter 2 and thinking that you already know what's going to happen. Though the ending was somewhat surprising (and waaaayyy unbelievable) it just wasn't worth the time it took to get to the end.

Also, I sincerely hope my doctors are smarter than Sadie.

I'm not normally a big fan of suspense, but I really enjoyed this book. Sadie has just moved to her husband's hometown on an island in Maine. She's used to life in Chicago and isn't thrilled at the prospect of living on this island. They need to care for his niece whose mother just passed away. When their neighbour is found dead, the small island is in an uproar about what could have happened. Sadie is questioning her husband's involvement but as the answers are revealed she finds out more than she bargained for.

This story will stay with you long after you finish it. Atmospheric, physcological, and well written this book will place you in the mind of the protagonist. It doesn't let up either.

Mary Kubica does not disappoint in her newest novel. This book was a very fast paced thriller with a dark deep plot set in a creepy home. Compelling however I had a bit of a hard time with the end so I’m rounding down. Other than this this is very entertaining enjoyable book.

The Other Mrs. sets the tone from page one. I ended up finishing it in one day. It was fun to piece the puzzle together as I went. though I was able to guess all the major twists before they were revealed.

The Other Mrs. By Mary Kubica

In an effort to save their names, Sadie begins to investigate. The story is told through three perspectives, Sadie, Mouse and Camille.

Review: Wow, this was a wild ride with many twists and turns. It’s fast paced, drama filled, twisted and dark. What a page turner, I couldn’t put this book down until it was finished, and wow the big twist came as a surprise. The multiple POV was written well, although it does get a bit confusing at times. The ending however, came as no surprise, I found it was low key heading that way. If you're looking for a quick, psychological thriller, this book is for you!

I love psychological thrillers that keep you guessing. The only reason this book merited four and not five stars is because I figured out the twist before it was revealed. I wouldn't consider the twist predictable, and even though I guessed it, I still very much enjoyed reading through to the end. This book does tackle some dark themes, so it should be read with caution.

I received a free digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin.

I’ve read several of Mary Kubica’s novels and always enjoy her writing style. This was a miss for me. I couldn’t get into the storyline and her pacing was too slow.

The Other Mrs. is my first foray into Mary Kubica’s books. I’ve heard great things so i was hoping for a twisty psychological thriller.
Sadie and Will have Just moved from Chicago to small town in Maine when their neighbor has been found dead. Questions arise about the new outsiders and the plot goes off to unbelievable. If you can get past the believeabilty of the story - its an entertaining read.

The Other Mrs. tells a tale of a family moving to coastal Maine after they inherit a house. The town is less that idyllic however, as a neighbor is soon murdered. The main character, Sadie, becomes entwined in the murder, as stranger things start happening. We learn through other perspectives and storylines that there is more to Sadie's story. A good psychological thriller that I rushed through to see whodunit!

I did not enjoy this one sadly. It did not hold my attention. I may just not have been in the right place at the time to properly read and enjoy this book.

The Other Mrs is a suspenseful book full of twists. Mary Kubica keeps the reader guessing! I read it over a weekend, thank you NetGalley. Sadie and Will move to a new community after his sister dies and become guardians of his niece. A series of strange events start to happen and Sadie struggles to piece together things that happened in the past and present day. Where does the time go and why do people in the community seem to question her actions? There are little clues scattered throughout the story and you need to find out what happens next! As you start to learn about the characters, the intensity in the story increases. I look forward to Mary’s next book!

A sudden move to a decrepit old house on an isolated island off the coast of Maine in the dead of winter. The house and the move offer an escape from problems but soon Sadie finds herself face to face with even bigger ones.

Inheriting a house from a sister who has committed suicide and leaves behind a teenager to care for isn't easy but Sadie and Will could use the fresh start. Sadie has recently resigned from her job at a hospital after some trouble and she suspects her husband Will is having an affair.

Once the family moves in the real psychological thrills begin to unfold. I enjoyed the narration and it definitely added to my sense of anxiety over the twists. This was a wild ride as watch the 2 worlds of this family collide and combust - affecting everyone in its wake. While I do enjoy the psychological aspects that Kubica expertly weaves into the book and the fact that it dealt with some heavy topics like suicide, abuse and mental health, I couldn't rate this higher because I had it figured out early on.

I enjoyed the eerie atmosphere and the overall quick pacing of the story but while it was entertaining, the story simply didn't wow me the way I had hoped it would.
