Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to.

This is one of those books that is very hard to review without giving away too much.... it is so well written, and although I was able to guess what was going on with the narrators about halfway through, there is another surprise at the end that I certainly was NOT expecting! I absolutely adored this book, and it is very easily one of the best books I've read lately.

Thank you to Harlequin and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this title to review. Sadie and Will Foust have moved to an island in Maine to take care of his niece after his sister took her life. The Fousts have two boys, a young one and a teenager. Soon after the move, their neighbor, Morgan, is found murdered. Sadie is a mess because she’s sure that the murderer is still on the island and might even have been in the vacant house next door.

Although I love Mary Kubica’s writing, I felt cheated by this thriller. It was told from three different female viewpoints, but I was forced to guess who they were. And in what I felt was a very sudden turn of events, a few of the characters completely changed. I felt like I should have been given more clues or red herrings earlier in the narrative.

Many other reviewers gave it five stars, so it could have been a bad time for me to read this book. I wasn’t able to concentrate on it much of the time. So, I say if you like Kubica’s writing, you should give this title a whirl.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a really fast read, and the twist was fairly unpredictable. There were a few storylines that I felt were left unfinished, but overall a really great read!

Sadie, Will and their two children have to move to Maine, when Will's sister unexpectedly dies. Along with the house they are now in the care of a teenage Imogen, who does not want them to be there. When suddenly a neighbor is murdered, Sadie starts to feel unsafe but also starts looking into things herself..... how can that go wrong?!
The twists really had me with this one. I had thought part of the twist and was like no that doesn't seem to be it and BAM twist after twist! I really enjoyed the characters and all the family drama that happened along the way.

Another good thriller by Mary Kubica! I enjoyed this book but it wasn’t my favorite of hers. The beginning was a bit slow but the middle and end of the book made up for it! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy in exchange for review.

Mary Kubica is at her finest with this thriller. Story with more twist and turns than a corn maze. Obligations prevented me from reading straight through but that did not stop me from thinking and trying to figure the puzzle out. This one had my mind engaged and my heart pounding. No doubt we will see it in the best seller list for 2020.

The Other Mrs. is an intriguing, twisty thriller by Mary Kubica. Sadie and Will Foust and their two sons move to Maine after Will's sister tragically commits suicide. The family's relocation from Chicago comes at an opportune time, as the family had been dealing with some difficult times, with Will's recent affair and their older son getting into some trouble at school. They move into Will's sister's house with his creepy niece, Imogen, who is grieving the loss of her mother and is moody and closed-off.
Strange things happen in the small coastal town. The Foust's neighbour is murdered and unexplained events begin happening to Sadie.
The reader also hears from the perspectives of several other characters, Camille, Will's stalker and affair partner, as well as Mouse, who is being abused by her stepmother.
Full of mystery and suspense, this book is hard to put down! It kept me guessing up to the very end.

Mary Kubica does it again, keeping us captivated til the very end! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and all the twists.
The story switches between Sadie, Camille and Mouse.
Sadie and her husband Will have relocated to a small island in Maine after the death of Will’s sister Alice. Alice left Will her house and also guardianship of her 16 yr old daughter Imogen. Sadie is a dr and the head of the house. Will teaches a few classes but is otherwise home for their children Otto, Tate and now Imogen. Sadie has been keeping her distance from Will since he cheated on her but really wants to lean on him when she finds out that one of her neighbors, Morgan has been murdered. There is a killer on the loose and Sadie is not sure who to trust or if the killer is someone she knows. Sadie is determined to solve Morgan’s murder at any cost and will go to great lengths to do so. Imogen has been combative and awful to Sadie since moving in together and Sadie has suspicions about what is really going on with Imogen and wonders if it has anything to do with murder.
Camille believes that Will should be hers because she met him first. She can’t let go and accept that he has Sadie as his wife. She wants more than anything to have Sadie out of the picture and have Will for herself.
Mouse is a 6yr old girl who lives with her father and now stepmother. She misses her dad greatly and wants nothing to do with her “fake mom” who is awful to her.
The story takes you through different scenarios and introducing different story lines that have you wondering why until you reach the end of the book and all is revealed. Definitely recommend!

This page-turner had me hooked within the first couple of pages. A murder occurs on a little island, shortly after Sadie and her family move in for a fresh start from their past problems. It is quickly realized that the problems of the past have followed the family to their new home. Written from the perspective of three different characters, an intriguing tale is told. I found the plot twists refreshing and a definite surprise. They were unlike the usual psychological thriller. Once I began reading I had a hard time putting the book down. I would highly recommend this book if you enjoy trying to uncover the mystery of whodunit.

The Other Mrs. is a complex and expertly layered novel of suspense and dare I say, one of my favorites from Kubica? Having read so many romances and other books this is one that I absolutely NEEDED to stay out of a book funk and it WORKED. I loved it! It's one of my new top favorites.

Good book, saw the plot happening so that was kinda disapointing but still a decent story. Not creepy enough. I feel horrible that she was exploited like that. I'm not sure what i can say without giving the story away.

Another amazing story by Mary Kubica! I was so excited to have the privilege of reading an ARC from one of my favorite authors and it certainly did not disappoint. This story perfectly illustrates the saying that things aren’t always what they seem. A great thriller right up to the end.

Mary Kubica writes another riveting novel that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat until the very last page. The plot is well built and delivered meticulously through dynamic characterization and narrative shifts. The subject matter is dark and may be a trigger for some readers but Kubica does well to deliver it in a gracious manner. The book was hard to put down as it was taught with intrigue and suspense. Highly recommended. 5 stars.

This was a really fun thriller. I figured out one thing early but then didn’t know for sure until the author was ready for me to know! It’s very twisted and dark. It’s super fun to read and try and figure out what the heck is going on.

I really enjoyed the characters and never really knowing quite what is going on. You can tell that Sadie is a very paranoid person. We also follow a 6 year old girl named Mouse and another woman named Camille.




With this being an arc and a kindle arc at that there were some things I noticed, some stuff was very very repetitive, now I’m not sure if it was supposed to be or was just in the arc, it bothered me a little bit because I was like “I know this.. we just read this.. she just said this”. Again not sure if it was a writing choice or an editing thing. That’s why it is 4 stars instead of 5.

This was another thrilling ride by Mary Kubica! The Other Mrs. has a creepy house setting with many creepy characters. There are enough twists and turns in this book that kept me quickly reading to find out who was responsible for the murders. In her newest novel, she introduces Sadie, a married doctor with a husband and two children. Sadie and her family move from Chicago to Maine to take care of Sadie's husband, Will's sister's estate. This includes Will's niece, Imogene. Will's sister committed suicide. They are isolated on a small island off the Maine coast, and they settle in but not really.....
Sadie is glad to have left Chicago because she discovered that Will had been unfaithful, and she wants to make a new start. Sadies voice depicts her insecurity and deep sadness, but she is willing to try again. But a crime on the island makes Sadie aware that there is something going on, and there may be someone following her...someone who wants to hurt her...someone who wants to see her die.
WOW - really good book - Kubica grabs you from the beginning of the book and slowly lets you go at the end. Unexpected twists and turns will keep you from putting this one down - RECOMMEND!!!

Typical Kubica in my opinion. I had some inkling of what was going on...but as usual, there was a whole lot of plot twists and turns I had not anticipated and did not see coming. Love her books and the fact that I know there are going to be surprises and try as I might I can't figure most of them out. LOL
