Thank you @Netgalley and @Harlequin for the ARC of the other mrs. I am a HUGE Mary Kubica fan so I knew I was going to love this book. She puts so much mystery and suspense in them. On top of that this book has a creepy house with a creep attic and a mystery murderer. I thoroughly enjoyed this and it really kept me guessing until the very end. As usual I cant wait for her next book.

I’m not sure about this book. I wanted to like it so much better than I did. I loved Pretty Baby by Mary Kubrick but this one was just ok. I felt it dragged in spots and I found myself skimming past the “Mouse” chapters. There was a twist at the end I did not see coming at all! Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this complimentary book. All opinions expressed are my own.

YOU GUYS. This book is another home run from the talented Mary Kubica! Twisty, creepy and complex, this is one domestic thriller you don’t want to miss. I flew through this book in just a day!

I have very mixed feelings about this one, so I'm going for a middle-of-the-road three stars. Told through three female voices, The Other Mrs. is the story of a woman who has moved to Maine with her husband and children after the death of her sister-in-law. Not long after arriving, her neighbor is brutally stabbed to death.

The author is obviously a very skilled writer and able to keep the reader hooked. I figured out the "big" twist when only 17% of the way through the book, which was a bit of a let-down. On the other hand, I didn't see the final twist coming, so kudos for that one. Overall it's a good book with enough action and twists to keep it interesting.

Sadie Foust is one unreliable narrator. With three different POVs (a 4th added at the end), you never know who is telling the truth. I thought the middle dragged somewhat, but the book definitely redeemed itself at the end. Great ending!

I cannot get into this book. I tried. I just simply cannot and I wanted to because others are raving about it. The storyline isn't grasping me and the writing isn't flowing well. This is a DNF for me. Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read it.

One of Mary Kubica's better books! A little draggy at times, but mostly quite captivating. Had a few twists that I saw coming, but others I did not. Four stars.

I was instantly hooked on this story! I probably could have finished this book in one day, however I spread out the reading for as long as I could, because who knows how long I’ll have to wait for another Mary Kubica masterpiece??

Can I just say that Kubica is the QUEEN OF CONFUSION (in the very best way)! I thought I had the whole thing figured out about a quarter of the way in. I kept thinking... “man, this one is just so obvious!” But I had only guessed a very small portion of this crazy roller coaster ride.

She got me good with this one. I loved it completely. And without ruining the plot and all its twists, I have to say this is about one of my favorite subjects. I am so glad Kubica wrote the blurb at the end about the subject, as I think all of us have been affected in one way or another.

This is one I’ll be recommending to everyone! Read it as soon as you can! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m so broken up.. I really really wanted to love this book, but oh boy did it let me down.
It’s going to be very hard for me to review this without spoilers but I’ll do my best.
Firstly what I liked about this book was the 3 characters were all distinctly voiced and interesting.
The character development was good too, the true nature of the characters does develop very slowly through the book. Mary Kubica does a great job of letting you feel that our characters are hiding something without letting on what it is until she’s ready.
I liked the pacing as well. It is very fast paced and will keep you turning the pages.
My issue is that it uses a story trope that I absolutely cannot stand.
About maybe half way through you start to get big clues about the way this story is going and it just flopped for me after that. We’ve seen this story line a million times in thrillers and I’m just over it.
I will say it did have a smaller twist at the end that I didn’t see coming so that was nice but honestly it was an unrealistic twist and it wasn’t enough to redeem the rest of the story.
This book may not bother some readers if possibly you are new to the genre and haven’t been burnt out, but this book sadly was just an all around flop to me.

4 out of the last 5 mystery/thrillers I've read have the same twist (though there is an extra bonus twist after the twist in this one) and I am sick to death of it. Still, even knowing I'd already read some version of this book a dozen times, it was paced well and kept me from doing much of anything else in the 5 or so hours it took me to read it.

The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica is a twisty psychological thriller that slowly drew me in and carried me willingly along to a jaw-dropping conclusion that I definitely did not see coming. Well played Ms Kubica.

Sadie Foust and her husband Will have relocated their family to Maine following the unexpected death of Will's sister, who has left behind a teenage daughter. Shortly after arriving at their new home, a woman is murdered in the house next door, setting the stage for a sense of unease and outright suspicion to settle over the new family in town. Told from the multiple perspectives of Sadie, Camille, Mouse, and Will, this one had me questioning everything, and everyone, I thought I knew. Ms Kubica is masterful at weaving these points of view into a complete picture, and the result was both shocking and satisfying.

Loving this author lately. The atmosphere of a quiet neighborhood was chilling. I really felt like these characters developed and sometimes than can be lacking in a thriller. The author knows how to buckle you in and send you on a crazy roller coaster ride.

Another reason why i love Mary Kubica is this book! Domestic psychological thriller at its best! Read a Netgalley copy of this and devoured it in a day! I just had to know what happened next!

This book has it all, Plenty of suspense and mystery, making the list of my top five books ever, I don't want to give anything away, so let me just say this book is definitely one you won't be able to put down. Utterly fabulous, and a ten star read. Highly recommend. You'll love it!

I just couldn't get into this book. I didn't like the main character and really didn't care about what she was going through. I read the first half, then skipped/skimmed to the end. I wish I had done that earlier. It was very slow moving and just not for me.

Mary Kubica is an author I follow as her books always make me have to work it out; something I really enjoy doing. This time I wasn't so sure. Sadie, the main character, a wife, mother, doctor, seemed to do things that were ridiculous to me. Why on earth would she think of doing that? Then she follows that action with another stupid action. Was I annoyed? Yes, Did I think about closing the book due to being so annoyed? Yes, but did I finish it? Oh yes and so glad I was that I stuck with it.

Sadie's family, her 2 sons and her stepdaughter are a large part of the story, but also two others deserve to be mentioned as main characters. Camille is another voice we hear from a lot. She sounds aggressive and selfish. It's all about her and how she can hurt Sadie. Mouse is a 6 year old girl with a hateful stepmother. How do they factor into the deaths of neighbor Morgan and Sadie's former sister in law? Or do they?

There are lots of characters to not like in this novel, but stick with it; it's worth it. Kubica has done it again!. Thank you NetGalley for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a little dizzy from the twists and turns but overall a little disappointed in this book. I almost put the book down numerous times because I was constant state of disliking the main character to a point it made my blood boil. The story is told from a few different perspectives and it was only when I reached “Mouse” did I stick through it to connect the pieces to her heartbreaking story. It felt as though some of the book dragged on, but the ending was well worth getting to. For that reason I settled on a ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I can only muster up 2 stars for this one. I didn't particularly care for it and the reasons I didn't care for it are because everything seemed to be revealed or obvious to the reader but not obvious to Sadie. It was pretty apparent from the get go that Camille was really Sadie and that her husband was a tool. Chapters dragged on and on with Sadie whining about how she just doesn't understand, nothing makes sense, no it wasn't me, no it wasn't Will, maybe it was my own son! and the readers are left slamming their heads against desks just begging Sadie to get it together and figure it out already!

If you are looking for the next best psychological thriller The Other Mrs. is it!! We are introduced to Sadie and Will as they are making a new life for themselves on a little island separated by the mainland by ferry. They move their after Will’s sister dies to look after his niece. As soon as they get there a murder occurs on the island and Sadie doesn’t know who to trust. The character development is excellent and the pages fly by. Enjoy this when released Feb 2020.

Oh my goodness... this book was amazing! I've been a bit iffy about Kubica novels for a little bit, but she totally redeems herself here. This novel was amazing and I totally did not see that ending coming. The characters and story were so intriguing and unique. I couldn't put it down! Full review to come closer to the pub date.
