Mary Kubica writes another riveting novel that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat until the very last page. The plot is well built and delivered meticulously through dynamic characterization and narrative shifts. The subject matter is dark and may be a trigger for some readers but Kubica does well to deliver it in a gracious manner. The book was hard to put down as it was taught with intrigue and suspense. Highly recommended. 5 stars.

Buckle up , you are in for a heck of a ride on that roller coaster that also turns you upside down !

The Other Mrs. is an dark atmospheric book that will have you reading as quickly as you can without missing a clue as to who murdered Monica.

Just when you begin to get suspicious there is another twist !

How well do you really know anyone ?

There is also more to this book than just the mystery , I don't want to give anything away, though I am tempted.

Put this on your Want to Read books, you won't be sorry.

Thanks to Net Galley and Harlequin Books for the opportunity to read The Other Mrs.

I Recieved an E Galley via Netgalley for an honest review

This was a really fun thriller. I figured out one thing early but then didn’t know for sure until the author was ready for me to know! It’s very twisted and dark. It’s super fun to read and try and figure out what the heck is going on.

TRIGGER WARNINGS
Extreme child abuse. violence

I really enjoyed the characters and never really knowing quite what is going on. You can tell that Sadie is a very paranoid person. We also follow a 6 year old girl named Mouse and another woman named Camille.

With this being an arc and a kindle arc at that there were some things I noticed, some stuff was very very repetitive, now I’m not sure if it was supposed to be or was just in the arc, it bothered me a little bit because I was like “I know this.. we just read this.. she just said this”. Again not sure if it was a writing choice or an editing thing. That’s why it is 4 stars instead of 5.

For some reason, I had a hard time getting into this book. I think because of the amazing plot twist, the way in which the story was told was difficult for me. Once I caught on and had my ah ha moment, it became much easier to read and still had plenty of thrills and surprises to keep me frantically turning the pages. Saying anything plot related about this book would be a disservice to those who have not read it yet. They need to just sit back and enjoy the ride! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Best Kubica book ever. It's a thrill ride. It's an edge of your seat, nail biter to the very end. Book of the year! Can't wait for the movie!

This was another thrilling ride by Mary Kubica! The Other Mrs. has a creepy house setting with many creepy characters. There are enough twists and turns in this book that kept me quickly reading to find out who was responsible for the murders. The author does a good job highlighting a serious subject matter. #TheOtherMrs #MaryKubica #NetGalley

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica. Kubica is a writer who takes you on a journey - fast paced, and sometimes nerve wracking. In her newest novel, she introduces Sadie, a married doctor with a husband and two children. Sadie and her family move from Chicago to Maine to take care of Sadie's husband, Will's sister's estate. This includes Will's niece, Imogene. Will's sister committed suicide. They are isolated on a small island off the Maine coast, and they settle in but not really.....
Sadie is glad to have left Chicago because she discovered that Will had been unfaithful, and she wants to make a new start. Sadies voice depicts her insecurity and deep sadness, but she is willing to try again. But a crime on the island makes Sadie aware that there is something going on, and there may be someone following her...someone who wants to hurt her...someone who wants to see her die.
WOW - really good book - Kubica grabs you from the beginning of the book and slowly lets you go at the end. Unexpected twists and turns will keep you from putting this one down - RECOMMEND!!!

Typical Kubica in my opinion. I had some inkling of what was going on...but as usual, there was a whole lot of plot twists and turns I had not anticipated and did not see coming. Love her books and the fact that I know there are going to be surprises and try as I might I can't figure most of them out. LOL

Holy Hot Mess!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the roller coaster ride of this book.
It's going to be difficult to write anything about this without giving too much away!!

What I loved: The twists and turns. I had bits and pieces figured out early on, but the twists and turns just kept coming!!
What I liked: Well written with a great wrap-up at the end. No annoying dangling storylines left at the end.
What I hated: I felt a few things were just a little too perfect, but it just mildly annoyed me - it certainly didn't ruin the story for me!

Mary Kubica writes a wicked psychological suspense story and she didn't disappointment with this one.

I received this book free from Net Gallery in exchange for an honest review.
Sadie and Will have just moved their family to a small town in Maine,
All of a sudden, a murder rocks this quiet down.
As in all of Mary Kubica’s other books, there is a lot of deception and intrigue.
This book is very creepy, but at the same time, it is very mesmerizing
Mary Kubica is a master of this genre and I found the book very engrossing.

Loved this book! The twists and turns kept me guessing and even when I thought I had figured it all out I was wrong. A new favorite of Kubica’s!

Another novel from Mary Kubica that is impossible to put down. As Sadie and Will settle into their new home in Maine, after Will's sister dies and the family moves to be with Will's niece, a murder occurs in the neighborhood. Everyone is on edge, and Sadie starts to look deep into her family to solve the mystery. Big twists have the reader guessing all the way to the end.

Thank you, NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

I would have liked the Sadie Will story if written as general fiction. not a fan of the its always the husband, or wife is mentally ill slow reveal, pretty cliche and graphic which takes away from
what was otherwise compelling writing and makes me sorry I read until the end.

I was so excited to get an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

This started off as kind of dull for me. I kept thinking why do I care? All of the characters are rather unlikeable, which doesn't help. BUT...the last half really picked up, and all the pieces started falling together. Suddenly, I couldn't stop reading!! The last 25% was super twisty and fast paced. Don't give up if it seems slow at first. It's worth riding it out. Recommended!

What an absorbing story! I've read a few of Kubica's books and didn't love them all, but this was a real page turner and I'm thrilled I had a chance to read it!

3.5 Stars

I love a setting with a creepy house.

Sadie and Will have just moved their family into a house they inherited on a small island in Maine.

It smells musty, its dark and dreary with paneling and heavy drapery. That is not all though- The house has a disturbing history and it threatens to unravel the new occupants.

Things aren't going well in the new neighborhood. Seems that murder is in the air.

I was engrossed in the first third of the novel with the suspense and intriguing characters. I wanted to love this book, but the direction it took ultimately fizzled a bit for me.

My third by the author and not my favorite, I was looking for a more "thrilling" read than what it turned out to be for me.

Thanks to NG/ publisher for my review copy. OUT on 2/18/2019

Reading The Other Mrs., by Mary Kubica is, seriously, like taking a master class in writing the perfect domestic murder mystery. She is, indeed, a master. Her characters, plots and narrative shifts, are nothing short of brilliant. I ate this book up in one setting - I absolutely could not put it down. Fill in all the appropriate mystery superlatives here - twisty, roller coaster, heart racing - you know what I'm talking about, right? This is it, in spades. I will gleefully read everything she writes.

Thank you NetGalley, Mary Kubica, and the publisher for the amazing opportunity to read this arc wayyyyyy before it is released, in exchange for my honest opinion. I'm truly grateful.
