I'm a huge fan of writing reference books, especially books that help me with my editing before copyedits/proofreading. This was a very short book; constructed like a daily assignment or possibly a newsletter lesson. There were many practical tips that were easy to understand. I would say that an author could use this as a refresher before each book he/she has finished drafting and is on to revisions. It would be great as a reference manual when an editing question arises.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read this nonfiction book.

This is a easy to read book with some great ideas and advice. A good book for beginners who haven't been published yet.

This how-to manual is short but packed with practical tips on how to edit your manuscript. I really appreciated the absence of fluff in this book and the author's accessible voice. The list of extra resources at the end of the book is also a nice touch.

I grabbed a copy of this book when I saw it was offered and was impressed with how detailed the chapters were. Ms. Victory gives excellent examples of the right way and the wrong way to craft your novel to its maximum appeal to readers. I'll definitely be referring back to this resource in the future.
