hmm.
i really enjoyed the first in this series, though when i picked it up i didn't know it was a trilogy, so the cliffhanger was super annoying - i wish i'd waited! but oh well. i was super excited to get this one but then my life went topsy turvy and didn't get to it until well after it'd published. i didn't 100% remember everything from the first book, another reason i wish i'd known it was a trilogy so i could have waited, but i got the gist pretty early on.
i have 2 main problems with this book - the whole 'i've got to kiss/sleep with/do something stupid with this other guy to save some person/the world/get myself out of whatever situation' - that has happened in other books i've read and honestly, it always annoys me. i think it's stupid. especially when the guy you're supposed to kiss is a bad guy, and oh, he beat the shit out of you? my second problem is the religion - i am well aware people are religious and might sneak it into their books now and then but this felt like too much. but i can just ignore it because different strokes for different folks, etc etc.. but i got annoyed when the heroine acts all surprised that the guy who doesn't believe in god knows about god/the bible/whatever. because that must mean he's really religious, not that people who aren't religious do their own research or perhaps come from religious backgrounds, whatever. it just really rubbed me the wrong way. you don't suddenly forget all the shit you learned if you end up switching religions in your life. gah. it was just so condescending 'you don't believe in god, why did you read the bible?' ugh.
that sounds super bitchy, but it's how i feel. i have read other books by this author and really enjoyed them. i'm sure religion has been mentioned - it's mentioned in a lot of books i read, but i really dislike when it comes across as preachy, which this one did. that, paired with that awful hint of a love triangle with the guy that beat her up, made this one kind of a dud for me. there were a few funny moments and eva and naz are cute, if a little too cheesy at times... i am reading this trilogy for the romance for sure and now they are so in love it kind of feels like i'm reading an extended epilogue.
the ending was super obvious, girl how stupid are you? honestly. and as soon as she mentioned feeling sick, tired and fainting... jeepers.
anyway. this review sounds like i hated it, i didn't. it would be 2.5 stars if we did half stars, but we don't, so i'll up it to 3. i'll be reading the third one because i have it and because i'm hoping the things that annoyed me in this one won't pop up in the third one. also, i *do* like this author, even if this review makes me sound like i hate her. not the case at all!

5 STARS for Dangerous Desires by JT Geissinger

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own & have not been influenced in any way.

This book is not a stand-alone & I highly recommend that you read Book #1 Dangerous Beauty. It also does not end in a HEA but instead has a WOW - WOWZER of a cliffhanger. You will certainly want to read Book 3 Dangerous Games ( avail on NG with a release date of Nov 19 )

This book picked up immediately from Dangerous Beauty with Eva again on the run. In order to protect Naz she does what she thinks is best & escapes his protection in order to keep him safe. She believes she has sold her soul back to the devil and is returning to her abuser Dimitri. There is a new character on the scene the reader does not know the exact connection to Eva (& Naz) but we are aware he believes some things that are simply not true about her ...

This book was really INTENSE & many of us are HOPING Killian will be getting his own story. He is fascinated by Eva as we all are - but will this fascination compromise her relationship with Naz ?

I read this book in one sitting & can’t wait to delve into approved Netgalley ARC of Dangerous Games !!!

Highly recommend this author & series. This book is so well written with some amazing plot twists as well as shining a spotlight on domestic abuse. Dimitri is pure evil 👿 I am really hoping he gets what’s coming to him in the 3rd & final installment in this series !!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
I purposely waited till book three was out before reading this one, as I knew it would end on a cliffhanger again. I'm glad I did. We get a small amount of down time where Naz and Eva can be together, but most of the book is all action and angst. It's all very exciting, and I'm hoping Killian will come in and help Naz save the day in the next book. Let's hope Eva gives Dimitri what's coming to him.

Wow this book was so good! It was intense and I love Eva & Naz even more!!! Eva is willing to sacrifice everything to keep Naz safe and that includes going back to the man she despises. Naz realizes what Eva has done but is having trouble finding her. The story is complex and suspenseful and I love Killian and how his character evolved. Eva & Naz have such an amazing relationship including fun banter. Of course there is another mind blown cliff hanger which makes me just want the last book that much sooner!!!! A definite one click for this series.

Book 2: disappointing. Where is the Geissinger wit that fans know and love? I am irritated with both characters and side characters. Holding out hope that book three redeems this series.

This is second in the series and you HAVE to have read the first to really understand what's going on in this one. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, and was very much looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, the banter from the first book that I loved so much just wasn't really present in this one. Also, despite all the action, I felt like nothing really happened. It was like a lot of spinning of wheels with no traction for the plot and ultimately, I found Killian more interesting that Naz or Eva this time around. I definitely want to see how the story concludes, so I'll be checking out the final book for sure.

I loved this book and these characters. I’m a huge fan of the author and this series. I love the mafia setting and the fact that Naz is willing to track her down to the ends of the Earth or Portugal if he has to because she is his. They have intense chemistry and you can feel it through the pages as you are flipping through them on your e-reader or book. I can’t wait for the next one in this series.

Dangerous Desires picks up right where book one ended. Eva believes she had landed in the hands of the big bad Dimitri. It turns out she has been taken as a pawn by another man. I found him to be very intriguing. He becomes enamored with Eva. I never felt like he was a threat to Eva and Nas’s love for each other. I was more invested in finding out more about him. I would love him to have his own book.

I still loved the banter between Nas and Eva. I hated how alpha Nas was acting and how Eva had to reassure his fragile masculinity every five minutes. It was really annoying.

I am afraid this book kind of suffered from the dreaded second book in the trilogy syndrome. It was filler. I would have preferred this series be a duet. There was some good stuff in this book, but I really hope the final book pays off big time. Dimitri has really been built up to be a major baddie so I hope it shows in the last book.

4 Stars!

This book kicks off to where Dangerous Beauty ends, and although I love the first book, considering that it was actually one of my best reads this year as It captures my interest and a real page turner... I cannot say the same for this book.

This book feels just like a stretch of what is to happen on the third book. Nothing significant happened here to be honest. Just a competition between two egotistical men.

The most nail biting experience I got here was actually the part where I reached the ending. So, I can guarantee that the next book will be a whole lot better.

Still, I recommend this book as it is part of the whole series and new characters were introduced that might play a big role in defeating the villain, that is Dimitri for the grand finale that will be available on December.

Dangerous Desires is book two in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy by J.T. Geissinger, and let me tell you that this fabulous series just keeps getting better and better!

Dangerous Desires starts up right where the previous book left off, and it was such an amazing page-turner. Fast-paced, cleverly written, and well executed, this is by far the best, and the most gripping story I have read in a while. Brilliant, just brilliant!!

This book was so freaking amazing, and full of surprises. I loved following Eva and Naz's journey, and since I like to keep it spoiler free, all I'm going to say is buckle up, because this is going to be a wild ride.

I higly recommend this awesome series. Can't wait for Dangerous Games - Book #3 .

This ARC was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

However, I purchased my audible version of it and it was UTTERLY AMAZING, and Brilliantly performed by Aiden Snow & Lidia Dornet, and deserves 5 Brilliant Stars!!

Naz is in the hospital after the events that happened at the end of Dangerous Beauty. But no fear, he'll live, AND he's got his beautiful Eva by his side. Except not. She's gone and Naz knows where. To sacrifice herself to save him because she loves him as much as he loves her. Which is why Naz is going to move heaven and earth to find his soul mate. Thank God for his team, because he's got to stop her before she gives herself to Dimitri to save Naz.

"I'm in love. I'm so fucking in love. If I lose her, it will end me."

Whew, I thought Dangerous Beauty was crazy suspenseful and hot, but Dangerous Desires has got it beat, hands down! Their chemistry is even hotter here, their banter is even funnier and wittier, but best of all, Naz and Eva are truly in love in this second installment, and they're both setting out to prove it. But there's so much going on - not just the evil, controlling Dimitri, but a new player in their world, one that Naz despises but who may end up being an ally, and then there's an even more crazy cliffhanger than the one that Dangerous Beauty left us with, and now I'm seriously impatiently awaiting for the day that Dangerous Games lands on my Kindle, because I must know what happens next!!! I want Naz and Eve to freaking finally get their happily ever after! They need to catch a break and just be allowed to be happily in love without outside forces trying to tear them away from each other. Sigh...is it November yet?!?

"I love her so much in this moment, everything I was before is incinerated. I came into this room one man, but I know I'll emerge from it another, a baptism of love so hot it's a fire that scorches me to the bone and leaves whatever I was before a smoking pile of ashes to be blown away by the wind."

Dangerous desires is book two in Nas and Eva’s story. We have the issues with Dimitri, illnesses, and a secondary player that has his own agenda. This one ends in another cliff hanger but it’s a great read and a lot better than the first part. Really really enjoyed this one.

I really enjoyed the second book in the series. There was the right amount of suspense and romance. However, , be aware that it ends on a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it was! I can’t wait for the last last book that comes out in November!

This is the second book in a trilogy – you have to read book one to have any hope of understanding the underlying plot! I assume that you have in my review.

There is a special kind of masochism involved in reading the second book in a trilogy... you absolutely want to move on from the cliffhanger that you were left on in book one, but at the same time you know going in that you are going to be super frustrated by the end, as it won't be the end either... that said, I am clearly such a person, as there was no way that I could have this installment and wait until the final one is released!

First, let me reassure you that this is just as well written and tightly plotted as the first. There is that constant feeling that we should be looking over our shoulders and checking out who is watching, who is listening, and who will cause the most damage next. Obviously Dimitri is the overarching danger, but now we meet Killian, who is the ultimate wild card – such violence, yet...

By the end it is difficult to believe that this all started on an idyllic holiday island, but Naz and Eva are solid – even if their desire to save each other sometimes clouds their common sense.

Grab a copy, devour it, and, like me, sit and wait patiently for the final book in the series, as things need to work out, but how will it all end?

Oh my god!!! First and foremost, I went into this entire series completely blind. I’ve been a fan of JTG for years and decided to try this series based on her name alone. I’mso glad I did, but I had no idea this was a cliffy. I need the next book NOW!

Oh my god! Things happened in the book that I never in a million years though I’d actually enjoy, yet the characters had me wrapped up in them from the very beginning.

In typically BBF hoarder fashion, I fall for the villain.....again. Hahahaha It’s a fast paced thrilling adventure and I am so here for it. I’m officially in countdown mode, waiting for book 3.

Here’s what I loved:
Eva is such an amazing character. She’s been through hell and back, but is so strong and so resilient. I couldn’t help rooting for and loving her even more than book one.

Nasir is challenged in the installment and proves to be a man who’s ready for the job. Both characters are consistent and entertaining.

The storyline and new characters were the real winner here. I am in love love love!!

Dangerous Desires is the second part of Nasir and Eva's story. It's not a stand-alone novel and like book one, it ends with a cliffhanger. That cliffhanger was the best thing that happened in the book. You see, there is a love triangle of sorts. As you can read from the blurb there is 'the darkly seductive spy who abducted her now has more than business on his mind". Eva spent so much time with him and I got the feeling that he was too much on our face and just another obstacle to Eva and Nasir's story. The majority of the book was slow and I kept waiting for something good to happen. I don't consider Eva's rescue from said kidnapper to be exciting because the big bad is Dimitri and they did very little in their quest to take him down. I feel like the trilogy should have been a duet, with slightly more pages. I will finish the series because there is only one book left and I don't like leaving things unfinished. I hope that the kidnapper will realize that he is after the wrong woman and he will stop been brought up every 5 seconds. I was not satisfied with this book.
