Very good read. I got through this really quickly and was invested in a number of the characters. My heart went out to Candace, Deshaun and Stuart right from the start. Spoiler alert, I was worried that Deshaun might not make it. In some ways the ending was a little bit of an anticlimax and I did feel that I would have liked it to be a little longer, but other than that great book and would definitely recommend to everyone

Sorry, this was a DNF for me at 21%. The story relied too much on what happened in a previous book and I felt I couldn't catch up. Thank you for the reading opportunity!

This is an engrossing, entertaining and scary read.
I like to read horror books from time to time and I found this a fun read.
I liked the way the plot is crafted, the cast of characters and the setting.
Even if this is the second book in a series I had no issue with the plot or the characters.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.

This was a fine book, I did enjoy the first book better. I liked the plot of this one and the characters were so so. I did get more into the book about halfway through so it was pretty good.

Fall is upon Ember Hollow again with victims and residents from the last annual pumpkin parade from hell still reeling and healing from the town's massacre.

GRIM HARVEST (great book cover) is jam packed with a variety of evil characters and sub-plots....some, however, unnecessary (IMHO)....with a narrative that jumps around too much within the same chapter making for a frustrating and confusing read for this horror lover. The main plot was lost too as were some of the best of the best like witch Matilda. Oh I wanted more of her and those other great areas of darkness that abruptly ended only to lose impact by paragraph breaks.

Writing less than average reviews makes me feel bad, but if I'm to be truthful, this short 200 page read turned out to be a long one....FOR ME.

I received this ARC from Net Gallery, and already being a fan of Mr. Green I was thrilled! He has a way of creating an immersive storyline. His storylines are always well developed with excellent character building. My only criticism with this book however is as a book two, there was A LOT going on, maybe to much so for some readers. With that said it is still a terrific book, werewolves on motorcycles, crazy witch action, I mean could it get any better! All I can say is job well done Mr, Green, another terrific book. I cannot wait for more from this author. I highly recommend this book to anyone, though read the first in the series.

Delightfully gruesome. I highly recommend reading the first book as it plays into the plot of this one. My favorite thing about this series is the cast of characters. There is something important in every chapter and it keeps you in suspense.

This book was very well written. Nice and easy to read and flowed well. Had me on the edge of my seat. Wondering which way it was going to go. Great mystery can’t beat it.

Grim Harvest is a great horror story that is a must read. I need to go back and read the other one. A complex story that is well written.

When I selected this book to read, I didn’t realize it was book 2 in a series. I opted to read it anyway and it was a whole lot of fun.

Now, it doesn’t truly work as a standalone. There are still a few things that I found very confusing. There’s history that, even in the end, I felt like I really didn’t understand.

But…the book is a blast. I ended up loving our characters and getting completely creeped out by some of the imagery. And when the climax of the novel comes, watch out!

The book is fast paced, gruesome, and has werewolf/skinwalker bikers!

3.5 Stars. There were times I felt a tiny bit lost, but ended up still really enjoying this one!

First time I have read from this author and it wasn’t a bad book. Not my normal genre so it had a little too much going on for me to really enjoy it, but that could be because it was not my usual style.

An anarchic blend of the Boy’s Own buzz of <i>Something Wicked This Way Comes</i> and the grown-up horror of your Ramsey Campbell or Clive Barker. This combination is both the book’s strength and its weakness - it tumbles between these viewpoints in a way that blurs the different characters, but emphasizes the story’s helpless momentum towards its end. There’s so much context going that I regret coming to this series midway through rather than at the start. But at the same time, like the best horror, enough of a pseudo-scientific background to make a genuine argument for it. Why yes, James Herbert, rats really could inflict serious harm on the people of London, since there are over seven million rats in the city...

I'm going to be straight from the start. I have a soft spot for this author. Mr. Greene has been a favorite of mine since I first got this crazy thing that is kindle. I found Greene early on. He managed to frighten me! I like that! He has this story about Bigfoot that so freaking weirded me out, that I went on a Bigfoot hunt. On the web...!
I read some weird and often scary crap! He made me search for Bigfoot. Well, he didn't force me! Well, o.k, maybe his wife Jennifer drive from N. Carolina to Montana! Maybe. I could have been delusional at the time. I.D.K?
Do I believe in the large, hairy footed folk? No. Did I look that crap up? Yep! By the way, there are some whackjobs out there!
I didn't think I'd like this story. Well, just knock me upon the side of my head. I freaking loved this.
I was all kinds of fu***d up from the get go. Werewolves? Dude, I hate werewolves!
So, I guess not werewolves. Skinwalkers? I like skinwalkers.
What the heck? Witches? Black magic witches? No dude. So sorry, but witches aren't my thing.
Wait. What? Did you hint at supernatural?. "Well, beyond wolves and witches."
this damn story actually had a lot going on! It took about 20% for me to get the character's straight. After that, it was a breeze. Then came the worry.
I guess I'm going to have to read the next book in this series. Knowing Patrick and his lovely wife Jennifer, it will be coming before Halloween 🎃.
My thoughts to this publisher would be, Please push this author's book's. He deserves a wider audience. Also, as of now you still aren't doing enough!
Also, my biggest takeaway from this story? I honestly wanted to love it because of the author. I quickly discovered some authors write about things I don't like.
Mostly? Sometimes even I am surprised that I do like the unexpected. Hey, I loved S.K. The Cell!
Patrick C. Greene is worthy!

There was a lot going on in this book, so gob help you if you missed even a couple of sentences.
*werewolves
*actual supernatural coming back from the dead type stuff
*biker gang - see above werewolves
*hallucinogens
*foster kids in a family that are tangentially and then directly related to the plot
*alcoholism
*two kids playing cop that end up actually helping
*loveless marriages

The plot itself isn't bad, I think there are just too many moving parts altogether, and not enough plot development in other areas. The werewolf biker gang? Could have been ditched altogether while still having some hopped up revenge driven dude coming back to town to avenge his lady love, thus kicking off all the subsequent events. The true shining horror of this story was a tiny little 10 page blip called Everett that could have been turned into a true psychological mind f, and gore fest. The start was there, and then, before anything truly bad could happen, well. Read it yourself. The overall book wasn't bad, I enjoyed reading it, the whole cursed town is getting jacked up again on the one year anniversary is an appealing plot, I'm just sad that the one truly scary part of the book was so short lived.

The latest novel of Patrick C. Greene's and the second of The Haunted Hollow Chronicles. It was pretty good, it had all the right elements a good horror-thriller should have. The action is quite good too. For the lovers of the gruesome, this is a very good sequel to the action.
