Bradach is a Reaper and works for Death. He ends up meeting Maeve and falls for her. Meanwhile they are fighting Usaeil and her Trackers. I have read a few novellas in this series and someday hoping to read the whole series. I really like Maeve and how she can kick butt. Bradach is a guy that has never had these types of feelings before and wants to protect Maeve but then he doesn't really have to. He tries to keep the secret that he is a Reaper from her and she knows that he has a secret he can't tell and she thinks maybe she doesn't want to know after all.
I will continue to read this series.
I received this from St. Martin's and NetGalley for an honest review

Bradach is a Reaper who hates rhe Dark Fae. So when he is sent on a mission to find a Dark Fae named Maeve the Merciless, he is decidedly not thrilled. After meeting her, it doesn't take long for his attitude to start to change. Could Maeve actually be more than a means to an end?
I loved Bradach and Maeve. They both deserved all the love and happiness they could have together.

I love the Reapers series by Donna Grant. The characters are interesting and engaging. The stories are fast-paced, exciting, and keep me flipping pages as fast as I can. Each book moves the reader along to the ultimate showdown (and the revealing of Rhi's King). I can't wait for the next book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or remuneration.

In a world where we think we are aware of everything around us, we have no idea. Book 7 in Donna Grant's Reaper series, did not disappoint. Not everyone is as they seem. Maeve, a dark fae lives a solitary, protected life. Protected, because she trusts no one. Because in her world, opening yourself up means death. Bradach is a solitary Reaper who trusts no one due to the deceit in his former life. The last thing he wants is to team up with a dark. But when they do in a quest to find the light queen, they get more than they bargained for, there are fireworks. Both are taught to not judge a book by its cover.

Though it could be read as a stand alone, there is a lot of storyline in the first 6 books that help you understand where the characters are, and why the characters are. I love that in each novel, the spirit is kept alive. Along with the previous books, the plot line doesn't dwindle, the characters are energetic and well developed. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Maeve the Marvelous!
First off, I have read almost every book Donna Grant has written and I was not disappointed in this one. Donna Grant is a master at storytelling. Each story is unique and with each book we get a little more in depth in the overall story arc. Her books are standalones which means you can jump in anywhere and not feel completely lost. However, I highly recommend reading the Dark King novels and the Reapers in order. They are entwined with each other and even the Warrior series.
Alright back to this book. Bardach was once a light fae that was betrayed and because of this Death made him into a Reaper. He holds onto his hate for the Dark even though the Reapers are no longer considered Light or Dark. Death sends him on a mission to get information from Maeve the Merciless who is a Dark Fae. As much as he despises the dark he is loyal to Death and agrees to go on the mission. This is where we meet Maeve who is not who she seems to be. An unlikely pair with an instant attraction. I don’t want to give too much away so I’ll leave it at that. In my opinion, this was one of my favorite Reaper stories. Not only do we get an epic love story but we also get more information or background on Usaeil. A character from the Dark King novels. If you haven’t read this or any book from Donna Grant what are you waiting for?
Please note I did receive an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Bradach is sent on a mission that he really doesn't want -- he's to infiltrate the Dark Fae on a mission to find one of the missing. I'll be honest, the details of the mission isn't what pulled me into the story. It was Maeve, the Dark Fae that Bradach falls for. Even though he hates the Dark Fae, he's entranced with Maeve and for good reason -- she kicks butt in a major way. I love strong heroines, and Maeve definitely fits the bill.

This was my first Reapers story, but I have read a few of the Dragon King series, so I wasn't completely lost with the story. This is a big universe and there are many characters, so I will warn that while you can read this as a standalone and totally enjoy the romance part of the story like I did, you would probably enjoy more about the characters if you read the previous books.

There's some great action in Dark Alpha's Redemption, along with the romance, so if that's your thing, you might like this story. I did. Things are building to a big showdown and I just can't wait!

An ARC was provided for review.

I am always ready to jump into another story from Donna Grant’s Reaper or Dark Kings series, and DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION from her Reaper series was no exception. The story itself may be short, but it packs an intriguing punch that seems to be a turning point in the Reaper series or at least another phase as we travel toward the ultimate showdown. For me, Maeve and Bradach’s story seemed like an introduction to another set of Death’s assassins and the moving forward of the overall stories of both series. Yet, it also left more questions unanswered which will (I’m hoping) be answered in the stories to come.

Bradach has definite preconceived ideas about Maeve and isn’t at all pleased with his assignment. Those ideas go right out of his head upon actually meeting Maeve and learning more about the woman who is the base of the legend. She’s not what he’s expecting, and he certainly wasn’t expecting this instant, intense feeling of belonging, needing to be with her in all possible ways. It’s not going to be easy, but these two are about to start a journey with long-lasting effects on so many.

I liked Maeve for so many reasons, but mostly because she could bring this man to his knees emotionally. She’s strong yet needs someone to lean on now and then – that man is Bradach. They fit together like two pieces of a puzzle, and I enjoyed their story immensely.

Now, the reality part. These series have created a unique, changing world. Can you step into this world with DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION? Yes, but I believe you’d understand more, have a better feel for this world if you can start at the beginning. And, yes, I know, that’s a lot of books to read, buy, borrow. I get that. Ms. Grant does an excellent job of putting the information from previous events that are needed within her current stories. You would not be lost by any means by starting here – I simply think you’d be missing out on nuances, background and some damned good stories if you make the choice to not go back. But… that’s my opinion, you do what’s right for you. I know the realities of a monthly book budget and it only stretches so far.

I was captured by the magic, the emotions of this series once again with DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION and I’d not hesitate to recommend it to any reader who loves a long, epic series with Paranormal Romance aspects and couples to fall in love with.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This story keeps you on your toes.
The battles are still on, and Bradach must handle things.
He isn't sure why they are testing his will however he is ready for the challenge.
Until...
Maeve is strong, determined and for the first time wants someone to trust her, in her.
The magic that sizzles between these two is off the charts, they have chemistry immediately but it takes a bit of work to bring it all together. For true love can build and rebuild feelings long forgotten. And makes one realize that maybe just maybe not all rumors are true.
Fantastic story.

Oh my word, where do I even begin...umm, let's see, maybe with the fact that Donna Grant is a freaking force to be reckoned with! I LOVED Dark Alphas Redemption! I honestly thought it couldn't get better than Fintan's story...than Eoghan found love and I thought I was done. THEN Erith and Cael finally had their moment and I knew it couldn't possibly get better than that.

But, as painful as it is to admit, this bibliophile was oh so wrong. The new set of reapers are not only funny and endearing, but getting to read about Bradach and Maeve totally floated my boat. Honestly, the worst part about this book...was that it ended. That's it, full stop.

In my best spoiled brat voice "I want another Reaper book noooooow!"

DARK Alpha's Redemption: A Reaper Novel by Donna Grant is a paranormal, fantasy romance that is part of a series and intertwines with the Dark Kings world. This story was utterly amazing and the Reapers have surpassed my love for the Dragon Kings. This is not a book to begin the series on because even though there is some background provided, it really would be better to immerse yourself in it. Reapers are tasked with meting out justice like Death's Elite Force. Maeve is a kick butt Fae. Bonus points for that! Bradach and Maeve are excellent together. So much anticipation throughout the book that holds the reader breathless. Oh, and this world is heating up as the pressure to capture evil continues....

I love it when a story turns my assumptions around. Is the Dark Fae all dark? Or is there a spectrum to be seen? Maeve is a character who surprises - savvy in business, able to take care of herself but freely admits that sometimes having a partner would be nice. Bradach was also a surprise in how he was able to change his ideas about his past and what his future could be like. While both characters have a lot to overcome, it is the way they mesh that really makes the story stand out.

Dark Alpha's Redemption is the continuing saga set in Donna Grant's Dark World. This far into the series, I highly suggest reading all preceding novels. At this point, several characters are crossing over, and although previous plot points get abridged when relevant, a lot is going on.

As always, the overall story-line surrounds a couple finding love. Maeve and Bradach begin as wary associates on the hunt for a missing fae. The two have great chemistry, and the discovery of their feelings for each other feels natural.

In Dark Alpha's Redemption, a stronger comparison continues to unravel regarding the dark and light fae. It is becoming more apparent that the heart of the being is what matters, not their title or where they reside. Seeing them as both make them more relatable, and it also gives a better sense of what they need is a leader who can be both. I have my guesses/hopes on who could fill this role, but we are getting closer to that revelation.

Dark Alpha's Redemption is book eight of the Reaper Series by Donna Grant. While each couple receives their HEA the overarching theme is one that continues to build. For that very reason I would highly suggest that the entire series be read. The Reapers have an interesting history with the Death servant theme being one that has slowly been built. This is the usual way that Ms. Grant’s paranormal series go.

Bradach and Maeve’s story brings a new Reaper to the forefront as well as a strong heroine who can hold her own. Two incompatible characters find that the attraction is great and that it can work. Their story is enjoyable but it would have been great if the overall story had more presence in this one, Also I always look for Rhi. The good queen from an earlier series has now become the evil queen so there is definitely some blurring of the lines between good and evil in this series. Hopefully the showdown will be soon.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Reapers are back! Only Donna Grant can make supernaturals whose work is to do Death’s bidding look sexy and alluring. Another hot Reaper, another sexy love story ;)

In this book we find Bradach’s story. A Reaper who despises the dark faes finds himself having to ask one for a favour. A dark fae who is known as Maeve the Merciless no less.

Maeve has had to fight tooth and nail to get to where she is. Having to take over her father’s business after his brutal murder she has had to prove to everyone that she is a force to be reckoned with. And so she has- except that she now finds herself alone and unable to trust anyone. But when a sexy stranger asks for her help in locating a missing friend, she finds herself unable to refuse his request and the allure of adventure he promises.

Bradach is on a mission to find Xaneth, Usaeil’s nephew and has to ask for help from a dark fae. The last thing he wants to do is trust a dark fae, but that all changes when he sees the sexy fae and finds himself enraptured by her.

The only complaint I had about this book was that it was just too short! I really can’t get enough of Donna Grant’s paranormal series!! Can’t wait for Usaeil to be finally taken down, hope that her end is soon!

DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION by Donna Grant is book 8 in the Reaper Series. This is the story of Bradach and Maeve. I have read the previous books which helps with the underlining story that is being touched upon each move that moves us closer to the end results. But story line between these two I felt you could make it a standalone book if that is what you wish to do.
Bradach was to help some of the Dark Faes but he came in with the mind set that they were not trustworthy and with a mindset of prejudiced I thought. But that started to change when he meets Maeve. This series has been a really exciting quick reads..love the books.

In the realm of paranormal the reaper comes in different ways but always associated with death. They make for interesting reading so I had to get into this one to see what this reaper would be like.
In this one we get to see a different side along with their story that carries us along. Bradach will get to be twisted after he meets Maeve. The chemistry will snap, crackle and pop along with giving us a smirk. The pace is quick giving us a filling one though.
Do not go into this though with assumptions especially if have read others before because this is about the Reaper and carves out for a minute their story. Ready for more from this author.

This was so good! I love this series and this author. I love the storyline and the hero is hot as heck! I loved him! This was a quick read but so much fun. Lots of action and thrills. Perfect to while away the summer day! I highly recommend it.

Dark Alpha's Redemption is the 8th book in Donna Grant's Reaper series, which is also connected with her Dragon Kings series. Though reading the previous books is not a prerequisite for following the story, it will give you a little more clarity understanding past events. But in no way will your enjoyment be ruined if you haven't read them yet.

Bradach is a Reaper who is assigned by Death to locate a prisoner of the evil Queen of the Light Fae. He is to seek the help of Maeve the Merciless (I want a cool name like that!) in his quest. Maeve is a Dark Fae, and Bradach HATES the Dark Fae. As they work together, their initial attraction ignites. Will Bradach be able to get over his hatred of the Dark and find love?

I really enjoyed both main characters. They each had difficult pasts to overcome before they could move forward. Their chemistry was quite steamy and rather sweet. I really enjoyed the appearance of fellow Reapers, the creepy Trackers, Dragon Kings and the King of the Dark Fae. This novella-length read will leave you wanting more of these fun characters.

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Loved the connection between Bradach and Maeve! Kind of a enemies to lovers thing going on. Bradach has had bad experience with the dark Fae, but he’s tasked with getting close to dark Fae, Maeve to find the evil queen. Loved the action and I always love the world created in Grant’s books. I enjoy Grant’s Kings series, but the Reaper series is my favorite. The Reaper series flows better for me. Love seeing more of the Fae World and it seems like we are finally, finally getting to taking the evil Fae queen out! I’m so sick of her! Can’t believe Con ever had anything to do with her! Eww! I’m excited to see everyone teaming up to take down the evil!

Love in the Dark & the Light

Usaeil's threat to the Fae is stronger than ever and the Reapers need all of the allies they can get. However, she's got two of their own in her clutches. Bradach, who has a healthy dose of hate for all dark fae, is chosen to locate Usaeil in order to rescue Xaneth. He's got to rely on the knowledge of Maeve the Merciless, a dark fae with a reputation that precedes her, because she's got information about Usaeil they wouldn't get otherwise. She's everything he's supposed to hate. So why is he so drawn to her?

I'll be honest, although I wasn't really lost while reading this story, I do believe that it would have been a better experience if I had read all of the stories that came before it. I'm intrigued by all of the characters who played a part in this book. While Bradach and Maeve were the spotlight couple who stole the show, I couldn't help but want to know more about Death and her mate, the Reaper general, the dragon kings, etc. Between the continued world building, the history, the battle scenes, the friendships, the intricacies of what the reapers do, and the love found amidst it all, I'm definitely going to be reading the other stories.

I highly recommend this book to fans of the fantastical and lovers of romance. Maybe just read the other ones first 😉
