This was my first time read anything by this author and I can see why people love her series so much , I do have to say that it better to read this series in order so you can understand what is going which is what I plane to do. I do have to say that will I did have trouble keeping track of what was going , I did love her many characters Maeve and Bradach, and i will be going on with this series , with that said I want to thank Netgalley for letting me read and review it.

Another wonderful story that you can get lost in, I just love a good fantasy story and this doesn't disappoint.

In this ongoing paranormal saga created by Donna Grant Bradach, a Reaper in the second group of Reapers is set a task. He is to find Xaneth, a royal fae who disappeared in battle. He is to approach Maeve, a dark fae, to get information that might lead to Xaneth’s location. There is instant attraction between Bradach and Maeve that is not acted upon till later in the story. There is plenty of action and skulduggery with good and evil pitted against one another. We glimpse some of the characters from the past books, too.

Having read all of the Reapers series, a few of the books with dragons and not many of the others I have managed to piece together a fair understanding of what is going on and know that eventually there will be an ultimate showdown that will involve many groups (dragons, druids, fae, druids and perhaps others) to set the world aright. I am eager to find out how that will happen and who some of the main characters will end up with that have not found their mates.

I have no idea how many more books are plotted before the end of this series but am eager to find out how it will all work out in the end. That said, I did find myself thinking...how much longer will this continue, when WILL it end and how many more of these books am I willing to read to find out?

I am usually not a fan of the dark and science fiction kind of stories but this author and this series makes me appreciate the genre. Quality writing makes this a story that the reader can easily get involved right from the start. Well done.

We are getting closer to get rid of Uwitch. V and Ulrich do bring of some good points comparing Uwitch and Deidre. I am happy another Reaper has found his true mate. Maeve is a perfect match for Bradach. I do have so many more questions after this book but as that usually happens between this series and Dark Kings.

There was lots going on in this book and the dragon kings made an appearance, the romance was steamy and the couple were well matched. Donna Grant weaves an ongoing story that connects to two series an intricate tapestry of threads that are slowly coming together. If you are new to this series I would say to start at the beginning, so you can truly experience this world and these characters and get swept away uncovering the secrets and twists always along with them and understand what’s happening.

Another fantastic read we were given little teases about one of my favourite kings in this but he doesn’t actually appear and I need to know more I can’t wait for the next book!

Xanethe also appears Ubitch has him and seriously she needs to be obliterated, she’s so toxic and I can’t wait for her to get what’s coming it’s building up to it you can feel it and it’s gonna be so hard waiting for the next book.

It has been awhile since reading this series so it was hard to get right into the book. By the first few chapters, I had caught up and was able to understand the characters and really get engrossed in the drama of this book!

Bradach has to ask Maeve, a dark, for help and he is not happy but that changes as they work together to search for his friend and later to keep Maeve alive.

Lots of action as the back story continues with the fight against the Light queen who really is Dark. It was hard to put the book down as I wanted to see how they were going to make this romance work! Still have a ways to for this struggle to be over, looking forward to the next book in this series!!

In the first few pages, I THOUGHT I was going to dislike this book, which surprised me, because Donna Grant is one of my favorite authors. However, I am very glad to say I was Wrong!! I enjoyed both main characters and was glad that this book's plot also moved more of the Dark World series along. I loved seeing more of Balladyn. Maeve was a great female character and I loved how he stood up for herself.

Ah! These Reapers. These characters are pretty awesome creation. They're the ones Death sends out to claim Fae when it's their time to go. In this edition of the series Bradach (Light Fae) is sent on assignment to work with a Dark Fae (Maeve.) She's known to be able ruthless and to hold her own in any bloodshed that may come her way.

Maeve doesn't disappoint. She truly does hold her own against the Queen of Light's tracker creatures. The one thing she runs from though, is her own heart. I like that she questioned some of the important things but didn't make a huge deal out of the little ones.

As for Bradach, no matter how hard he tried not to like a Dark Fae he couldn't help himself but being proud of Maeve's ability to push through anything. She really impressed him and of course the more time they were together the more he really found himself wanting to be with her.

I can't wait to see how these two continue to shake things up in the Fae world. They're not alone as you know what's about to hit the fan!

I had a hard time following along for about the first 25% of this book. There were many missing holes that I couldn't quite fill all the way. While I was able to assume what had happened prior to this book, it was still all very fuzzy to me. It took a bit of a learning curve to figure out about the King of the Dark, the Queen of the Light, who/what the Reapers are and what they do, etc. Once you get past that hurdle though, it all starts to piece itself together a bit easier. Once that happens, this became a book that was difficult to put down.

We have A LOT of characters coming together in here to fulfill one goal. As we go on this journey, our two MCs just so happen to develop feelings for each other. Character interactions with the side characters were confusing at first, as I couldn't quite piece together right away their personality traits. Like I said before, once it gets rolling it becomes a lot more of a fun read. The romance was quick, the plot was fast-paced, and it was an overall good book. I just believe that there should be more of a warning about reading this as a standalone, as it can be quite confusing to some such as myself.

Is there any hope for a dark fae that isn't all that evil? Bradach has promised to follow Death no matter what so when he has to spend time with a dark fae he has no choice but to go. But he is confused by Maeve as she calls to him and he can't allow the dark back into his life. He needs her help but he knows that danger will follow but can he protect Maeve from the light queen when she finds out that she has been betrayed?
Maeve knows that there is something different about Bradach and she knows that she doesn't know anything about him but her king has said that she can trust him. But he is hiding something and she fears that she could be falling for him but she can't allow that to happen as she needs to keep her wits about her if she is to survive. Will they be able to escape with their lives and will they have a chance at a life together? Bradach knows that they need to strike now as Usaeil is getting stronger and Rhi will need to step up to the plate before it is too late. But everyone except Death fears that she won't be ready we will need to wait and see what is coming. Where is Con now? A great read. It is time for her to fall and I can't wait. I was lucky enough to receive a copy via Netgalley & the publishing house in exchange for my honest review.

I have loved all of the Reaper stories so far and this one is no exception!!
Maeve and Bradach burn up the pages with their intense chemistry. Despite his hate of the Dark Fae, Bradach can’t help the feelings he’s developing for Maeve.
A battle with Usaeil is rapidly approaching and I can’t wait for all the Reapers, Dragon Kings and Fae to band together to stop her!

Dark Alpa’s Redemption, a fast-paced, action-packed story written by Donna Grant, is the eighth book in the Reapers series. Which I thought the story ended with Dark Alpha awakening; So, know new baddie to defeat. Bradach is a relatively new character, for I don’t remember him being introduced in any other storyline. His character was likable and the chemistry between him and Maeve was felt throughout the story.

Dark Alpha’s Redemption a great book. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

She is more than she allows to be seen…

This is the eighth book in the Reapers series.

The Reaper Bradach was once a Light Fae before his betrayal and conscription by Death. He has valid reasons for hating the Dark Fae and when the leader of his team assigns him a mission among the Dark he questions if he’s the right Reaper for the job. Eoghan thinks he is and it’s not like Bradach has much choice, he serves Death and this is what she asks of him. Using glamour to disguise himself he heads to the dark realm to meet the King, Balladyn, who will introduce him to the one he needs.

The King of the Dark began life as a Light Fae, circumstances turned him toward darkness. He is not what Bradach expects, an impression he notes for future reference. The Reapers are seeking Xaneth, a Light Fae who is missing, abducted by the Light Fae Queen Usaeil who is currently in hiding. It’s possible a business acquaintance of the rogue Queen could have knowledge of her whereabouts.

The Dark Fae, Maeve the Merciless, took over her father’s business when he was murdered and survived the deceptions and machinations that followed. She’s earned her title amassing power among the Dark but there’s more to her than she allows to be seen. Bradach is horrified to find himself attracted to this beautiful woman, while Maeve is intrigued by him, and the request of a favor by her King.

What plays out between these two was quite an interesting dynamic, Maeve is intelligent, confident, and tough yet she had her vulnerable moments, she was also a warrior whose skills rivaled that of the Reapers, and Bradach has to come to terms with his past and that even among the Fae (both light and dark) there are shades of gray. It’s a wise man who can question his own beliefs and accept the growth necessary to move forward in life. The attraction between these two was immediate and felt destined.

The last book provided an awesome resolution to the Reaper/Bran storyline, but the war between the Dragon Kings, Queen Usaeil and the Others still remains. This fast-paced, action-packed story elaborates on the connections between the Reapers and the Dragon Kings and provides more insight into Balladyn and even Usaeil, mention is made of Rhi and the plot stokes the tension for what comes on the horizon which this reader hopes comes soon.

After the big showdown against Death's sworn and scorned enemy, Bran is finally here. What can happen now that this is all over? But wait…there's more. Even if Death has found her happily ever after, she still has members from two elite squads of reapers who need their happily ever after. To my delight, this one features Bradach, a moody and taciturn reaper who was once a light fae. His past creates the hatred of all things dark. When he's paired up with Maeve, a dark fae, to find a missing dragon king and another fae ally, Bradach wishes to gracefully bow out of the duty.

Not one to shirk his responsibilities, Bradach grudgingly partners up with Maeve. Maeve is one of the most feared dark fae. She runs an empire as a legacy to her slain father. Her father may have been cruel and sadistic to others but he always showered her with love. This dichotomy between the good and evil in the same person is a theme Ms. Grant tends to use more oft than not. I like it. Most of her characters are neither fully evil nor fully good. This greyness shows more depth of character building as well as a more interesting and engaging character. Readers tend to feel more invested when they can see similar traits with a main character.
Including the character building, the world crafting continues in this series. Learning more about how the world works as well as getting closer to the end game of the Light Queen's demise is a mix of teasing and frustration. The little tidbits of what is to come keeps pulling me into this series. The frustration comes from the slow plot movement. It feels like it is being dragged out. Still, each of these book's focus is the a reaper finding their mate. The big showdown is but a small subplot tying the series together.

Whilst the overall arc is slow moving, the pace of this book is not. There are good highs and low with sexual tension and fighting action. The balance is nicely done and keeps a reader flipping page after page to find out how Bradach story progresses. The end is a foregone conclusion, it is the Bradach's grow and love journey which makes this book so enjoyable. This paranormal romance is recommended to readers who enjoy fae, magic and questionable divisions between good and evil.

Dark Alpha's Redemption: A Reaper Novel (ebook) by Donna Grant...Why can I give this only 5 stars? Thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for allowing me to preview this book. Bradach(Reaper with a deep hate for all the dark) Mauve (how dark is she?) Their story is full of angst, violence, deceit, some laughs, some tears, mystery, UBITCH and steam..all continuing this wonderful story to their HEA... I can't wait for more.

And there I though that the series ended with Dark Alpha's Awakening. I was very surprised to see the new novel Dark Alpha's Redemption and it seems that there is still a few Dark Alpha books to come.
Things are coming to a point now with Usaeil and certainly time that she dies. I really enjoyed reading about the Reapers again as well as the Fae. Death seems to be in a better place now that in the previous novels and I hope that is stays that way.
Donna Grant is one of my favourite authors and when you pick up one of her books is feels like coming home. Great reading as always.

A great story, characters, and overall creativity. The world of the Reapers and Dragon Kings just keeps getting better.

I know that the Reapers have defeated their big enemy, but I think I expected more from this one. I'm beyond thrilled that it's more and more intertwining with the Dragon Kings series, but really nothing happens here. The whole point of this was for Bradach to find Xaneth, but he didn't even get close to it. Instead he meets his lady love. Which actually played out a lot better than I expected, but I wanted more progression of the story as well I guess.

I was hesitant about Bradach's woman being a dark fae. Especially one with the name "Maeve the merciless." But I was pleasantly surprised by who she really was and I liked her big secret. Bradach was probably more surprised at his attraction to a dark though because he hates their kind with a burning passion. And when we find out his betrayal story, it makes sense...to a degree. I'm not sure I get his vehement hatred for every single dark because of this though.

The Reapers are sure that Usaeil has Xaneth and Bradach is ordered to work with a dark fae that has connections with her to try and figure out where she might be hiding him. From the moment Bradach and Maeve meet they fight their attraction to the other. Bradach because he hates the dark, and Maeve because she can't afford to let her guard down around anyone. Especially someone who makes her forget everything but him. Despite Bradach having to keep certain things secret from Maeve for her protection, she agrees to work with him and they quickly think they figure out where Usaeil is. But it screams trap. So they seek out the Dragon Kings.

Despite the Kings coming on the scene, still nothing happens. They let the Reapers know that Con is missing and Rhi won't answer their calls, but that's about it. None of the missing are seen, let alone rescued. We get fights against some abhorrent warriors that Usaeil has created, distrust being sown in the Light castle, and Maeve's own betrayal revealed (which was WAY obvious from the beginning).

All in all, it was another good read in the series. I just wish we moved forward at least a little.

There are so many books in this world that Donna Grant has built, and I keep expecting to get tired of the characters and the storyline. But she keeps pulling me back in! I loved the two sides to this world that we get to see, particularly getting more insight into the Dark Fae and what makes them dark, what it's like for children who are born into that world but might not fit into it, and how Dark and Light Fae are created. It's fascinating information and just adds even more color to an already brilliant world!

Bradach is on a mission to rescue a royal Light Fae named Xaneth, who was abducted by the Queen of the Light Fae during the battle with Bran, a now-vanquished enemy. To find him, Bradach must enter into the world of the Dark Fae and gain the help of the one of the most feared Dark Fae of all - Maeve the Merciless. Known to be utterly ruthless to her enemies, Maeve isn't likely to help them without cause, but there's something about Bradach that speaks to her. And with the backing of the Dark Fae King, Balladyn, Maeve agrees to help them with their quest to save Xaneth. She knows Bradach is hiding a secret from her, but she has her own secrets and is desperate to keep anyone from finding out. She has spent years building her reputation, running her father's business, and staying away from temptation. But Bradach may be a temptation that proves impossible to resist.

Bradach and Maeve were an interesting couple. They meshed well, and it always helps in a romance when both parties are equally at fault for hiding something. It makes the grand reveal all the more interesting. Because how can one be angry at the other for hiding something when they, too, are doing the same thing? Of course, they definitely manage it, but I thought it was funny while they danced around the subject and tried to have a romance anyway. Bradach was so charming, and he absolutely could not help but try to charm Maeve. Even knowing that as a full fae, she could never know that he was a Reaper - the rules were clear. Their loves was doomed from the start, but neither could resist the pull of the other. Ah, forbidden love...

As always, I anxiously await the next entry in the series! Never fails to disappoint.
