This historical story is punctuated by detailed artwork that often takes up several panels on a page. Recommended graphic novel reading for mature readers.

A very good first chapter to an intriguing story. This book definitely felt like it was setting up for more of a story later on. This book is mostly an introduction to the main characters and the antagonist Bjorn the Beautiful. I really enjoyed the story and setting. I am not too familiar with this period of history so I'm looking forward to learning more about the wars that were going on and the relationships between the different peoples of northern Europe.
