If you’re ever in trouble you’d need Josie Quinn on your side. This grabbed me from the first page and kept me glued. Excellent addition to an excellent series. A little girl goes missing from the park, her parents are naturally devastated and so it begins. Do we ever really know people- even those closest to us? Brilliant main plot, fabulous character and story development in the subplot.

As always, Lisa Regan has written another page turner. The story moved along at a good pace and kept me guessing and wondering why this couple was being targeted. Never know when something said or done will set off someone. I hope Ms. Regan is writing a new book right now because reading one is never enough.

She's blown me away yet again with another incredible/heartbreaking case.
When I knew there was going to be another book in the series I checked Netgalley daily to get my hands on it as soon as possible and I was that excited about it that I started it as soon as I got it and nearly read the whole thing in one go. I probably would have if I had the time because I was completely gripped.

This case for Josie was pretty different from any of the others but it didn't loose any of that family feeling from the previous books, in fact it just developed and made me love all the characters more. Especially the chief. I'm already very, very excited for the next one. I cannot wait to see what happens with Josie next and I cannot wait to get wrapped up in yet another amazing story.

This is the second Josie Quinn book that I've had the opportunity to read, and I find the character growing on me. I have come to the series late, beginning with book 5 in the series, but was able to pick up the threads without too much difficulty--and those snippets of exposition to tie the past into the current story have whet my appetite to start at the beginning of this series. I enjoyed Her Silent Cry more than the previous novel (The Bones She Buried), and was taken by surprise at several points. Definitely not predictable, and an enjoyable summer read.

I'm getting tired of reviewing Lisa Regan's masterpieces because they're all SO GOOD and I am out of new ways to say just how absolutely gripping they are.

Detective Josie Quinn is officially my favourite detective in the whole fiction world. She's got the skills, the bravado and the defiance.

Her Silent Cry was probably my favourite book from the Josie Quinn series so far. I loved the way the case progressed, I loved the bits from the killer's POV that gave us an insight into their mind. I adored the way it ended. (I know "adored" isn't a word you'd usually use while reviewing a psychological thriller, but the book ended with a sweet, romantic scene so 🤷‍♀️)

All in all, I'd just urge you to GO AND READ THIS NAIL-BITING, UNPUTDOWNABLE BOOK.

Wow! This book is absolutely a 5 star rating all day long! Right from the very beginning I was on edge. The feeling of racing against time was there from the moment the crime was committed and didn't lessen until the very last chapter which I read in the early hours of the morning, so engrossed was I in what would happen next.

Two months have passed since the investigation into the death of boyfriend, and fellow detective, Noah's mother and Detective Josie Quinn is spending her day off at the park with her friend Misty's little boy. Although she is enjoying herself the responsibility for Harris's safety is constantly at the forefront of her mind and then the unthinkable happens. A woman she had been chatting to screams out her daughter's name; she is gone and suddenly Josie is part of a nightmare case she struggles to see ending positively.

There is so much to commend in this book it's difficult to know where to begin. I really enjoy Josie as a main character, her past gives her depth and empathy both of which are very well written. There is no diminishing of the devastating effects the cases from previous books have caused instead the long lasting results are a part of how Josie, her friends, and family now live their lives making for great reading.

The case is obviously the most important part of the story but Josie and Noah's private lives do give a little bit of breathing space which, considering how fast paced the rest of the book is, is a definite plus! I also really liked the senior FBI officer,  Special Agent Oaks; I hope he gets to return in a future storyline.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it unreservedly to anyone who enjoys this series of books or first class crime writing. The mention of previous storylines is lowkey enough to avoid spoilers so the book can be read on its own merits but beware,  you will want to go back and read all of the others straight away.

This book is the first that I have read by this author, it worked well for me as a stand-alone but it looks like I am going to have to get the previous books in the series. I loved the style of writing and I knew after the first couple of pages that it was going to be my kind of book. The parents are the first people who come under suspicion when a child goes missing and difficult questions have to be asked but are the team getting the answers they need in their race against time to get little Lucy back. There is a psychological element to this book as you suspect that all is not right with the mother Amy, she is holding back and Josie is determined to find out what that something is.

A page turning novel full of twists that you won't want to put down. A child goes missing from the carousel ride at the park and nobody sees a thing. The overprotective mother is keeping secrets and Josie does everything she can to get to the truth. The identity of the kidnapper was surprise. Enough backstory is provided to read as a stand alone but I have enjoyed learning more about Josie throughout the series. She is strong, determined, and flawed and sometimes really frustrates her superiors. I look forward to the next book in the series.

OMG! This was a great book.

It's story about a missing child that been taken. Where did she go how was she taken right front of the parents are they the blame or is there something more going on.

I love Josie even though she had things going in her life either good or bad she was determined to find Lucy and when the FBI came to help I like that they didn't clash and took over. I felt for Amy even though she was reluctance to tell her secrets to Josie.

This was has some great twist and turns with the kidnapper having a clever plan and one of characters sad memories may hold the key to this mystery. One thing for sure you can never run from your past because it will always catches up to you.

I love this book... I love Josie Quinn.....and I love Lisa Regan for writing such a wonderful series series!!!
The thing with this book and in fact the rest of the series is that the characters are so believable and as you read you really do care about them all. So from the first page this starts at a pace that just doesn’t let up as the Josie and the team search for a missing seven year old girl and the twists and turns just keep coming and I was kept guessing till the end at what the outcome would be and oh boy I wasn’t disappointed it was a brilliant read and such a satisfying conclusion.
So I heap as much praise on Lisa Regan as I can but if I could I would actually just ask her to please hurry up with the next book as already I am pining for more. So please don’t miss out on this book in fact start at the first book in the series and read them all because you are in for a real treat.

OMG, what a great book this was. This was my first book by Lisa Regan and it definitely did not disappoint. This is book 6 of the Josie Quinn series but you are able to read it as a stand alone novel. Even though this is part of a series the author does a great job familiarizing the reader with parts of the back story and does not take away from the main story of the book. What is does make me want to do is read the whole series.

This book was about a missing child. She was taken right in front of her parents eyes. Where did she go? Were the parents to blame since they were both right there? Why were they so distracted that then didn’t notice their daughter was taken? These questions and many more are answered throughout the book.

I can’t say enough good things about this book. This author had me going on an emotional roller coaster throughout the whole book. I didn’t know what to expect as each chapter progressed. There were so many twists and turns. You didn’t know who to believe or what was coming next. There were so many lies and secrets you couldn’t keep up with all of them. The past always catches up with you no matter how much you try to run from it. The ending definitely through me for a loop. I would’ve never guessed it in a million years. Who did it was such a shocking twist. All of this made me fall in love with this author and I just can’t get enough of her books.

Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Her Silent Cry is a fantastic thriller that I could not put down. The book is well written and it has well developed characters. I would read more by this author.

Again josie Quinn is on her A game. Lisa Reagan didn’t disappoint with this follow up of the series. Read in one sitting got so engrossed in the plot. Great tot see all the characters interacting and full of twist and turns. Can’t wait for the next instalment great series so far keep it coming. Highly recommended

The first 5 books in this series have been amazing, and this newest installment does not disappoint! Josie gets pulled into a missing child case and the suspense and twists and turns start! Regan keeps you wondering if the parents are involved, how does their history play into Lucy’s disappearance? Will Lucy make it home? I finished this in a day’s time and can’t wait for the next book!

Her Silent Cry by Lisa Regan is book 6 in the Josie Quinn series. As with all the previous Quinn books, it is a stand alone story. I read this one in less than 24 hours. Just couldn't put it down. Reading about Josie is like catching up with a friend I haven't seen for awhile. Within the first few pages of Her Silent Cry the reader is drawn in and feels the need to learn what happened. I was given an early copy to review.

Josie is in the local park when Amy Ross reports her seven year old daughter, Lucy missing. Lucy ran away from Amy on the carousel so no one can tell if she’s run away or been taken until Josie finds Lucy’s backpack and a sinister note.

I thoroughly enjoyed Her Silent Cry which is a tense read with plenty of twists and turns. The novel is told from Josie’s point of view as she tries to make sense of the information she has available and get ahead of the game the kidnapper is obviously playing. There are also chapters told from the point of view of an abused child throughout the novel which leave the reader guessing about who, where, why etc. and their relevance to the hunt for Lucy. Personally I felt they were a waste of space, adding little to the narrative and not much enlightenment when the resolution and explanations came, which, while having a good twist or two, did not strike me as anywhere near realistic.

Having said all that I really enjoyed the journey of reading the novel. The twists come thick and fast, the perpetrator has a clever plan and the tension and urgency of the hunt all push the novel forward at a fast rate leaving the reader little time to breath and unwilling to put it down.

I like Josie Quinn who is a smart, dedicated detective with a well balanced life. It wasn’t always that way for her so she has added empathy when dealing with victims. In this novel the FBI come to help and unlike in many novels there isa harmonious relationship between the two teams although it pushes credibility to see Josie constantly outthink the child abduction specialists. I also like that Ms Regan always pushes Josie’s life forward so there are new developments which can be regarded as either good or bad - even Josie hasn’t made up her mind.

Her Silent Cry is a good read which I have no hesitation in recommending.

What a fantastic read! I didn’t put this down until the end. I love Josie and had to read this when I saw it. Brilliantly written, and one of my favourite authors. Can’t wait for the next one.

Holy moly what a page turner. I think its my favorite now of the series because there was no man drama for Josie.. If your a fan of the series you will get why I am saying that :)

This was edge of your seat suspense from start to finish. A totally addicting story. Cant wait to see what's next from this author.
