Laurel and Zach McCullough have been struggling with infertility and the adoption process. They have all but given up hope to have a baby in their lives. They have had to move in with Laurel's grandmother, Helen, because the cost of treatments they had to have a baby were so high. Laurel contacts a caregiver agency to help her grandma since her health is declining. The agency says no one is available.

Mrs. Miracle shows up on their doorstep to take of Helen and Helen begins to be more like her old self. Mrs. Miracle also gives signs that Zach and Laurel may be getting a baby. Lots of miracles happen with Mrs. Miracle.

I thought this book was very enjoyable. It was fun to have Mrs. Miracle around to brighten up the house. Also glad Zach and Laurel finally got a baby. This is a perfect story for around Christmas time because miracles can happen!!! I also thought that the talk about infertility and waiting to adopt was annoying because they had all but mostly given up hope. I have no kids of my own so I have not dealt with infertility. This book will make people believe in the miracle of Christmas and of angels!!!

I’ve been a fan of Debbie Macomber’s Christmas stories for many years. I’ve especially loved Mrs. Miracle and Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy. It was fun having them all in the same book. This is a sweet story of unfulfilled dreams and expectations. As before, when Mrs. Miracle enters the story, wonderful and magical things begin to happen. This book brings together the spirit of the Christmas season: Faith, family, and love. The ending to this book was special, and will definitely put the reader in the spirit of the season. I’m glad to have this one on my Christmas reading shelf to reread from year to year.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I love Debbie Macomber’s Christmas books. Her Miracle series never fail to leave you warm and fuzzy. This book is no exception. Even dealing with tough choices in life sometimes youhabe to put your faith in the powers above.

I know some people don't think it is Christmas until they've read Debbie Macomber's latest Christmas novel. As someone who was on a waiting list until March for a previous Christmas book by her, I'm thrilled that I received an advance copy. This year she brings back the beloved character Mrs. Miracle and you don't want to miss it.

I absolutely love Macomber's Christmas novels and wait anxiously every year to see what she will offer fans. I love Mrs. Miracle and the Christmas stories that feature her are among my favorites.

Laurel's grandmother is becoming more and more forgetful. She lost her way in her own neighborhood. She called the cops when she awoke from a nap and Laurel wasn't home from school. She forgot Laurel is an adult and not the 10-year-old she raised. Laurel is still coming to terms with never being able to have children and now she is worried about losing her grandmother. With no choice but to find a home companion to look after her grandmother while she and her husband are at work, she calls Caring Angels but is told that no one will be available until after the new year. Then Mrs. Miracle shows up on their doorstep.

If you aren't familiar with Mrs. Miracle, she is truly an angel, sent by God. There is a series that features Mrs. Miracle along with her angel friends Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy. But it isn't necessary to have read any books in the Angelic Intervention/Angels Everywhere series (I've read book 8 in the Angelic Interventions series and book 7 in the Angels Everywhere series and this is book 11). Everything you need to know about Mrs. Miracle and her angel friends is provided within the pages of this story.

(If you think Mrs. Miracle sounds familiar and you haven't read any of the series, then you may have seen one of the movies based on the books).

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is a touching, heartwarming story about love, hope, and Christmas miracles. Unlike many Christmas novels, it is not a romance. I would classify it more as women's fiction.

I will admit that I got misty-eyed while reading this story. Even though you know how the story is going to end, the journey is still just so sweet.

If you like Hallmark movies in book form and want something more than another holiday romance, then you will definitely want to pick up this book as part of your holiday reading.

Review will be published at Girl Who Reads on Monday, Oct. 21 - https://www.girl-who-reads.com/2019/10/a-mrs-miracle-christmas-by-debbie.html

Is this story predictable? Well yeah. Is it somewhat shmaltzy? Well yeah. But is it enjoyable? Definitely!! Put aside your disbelief and believe in miracles. Believe in angels. And go along with these well-defined characters and the warm & fuzzy story. Why not?!

I really enjoyed reading A Mrs. Miracle Christmas. I did not know this was part of a series until after i finished, but the book is definitely A stand alone story. Overall the story is extremely predictable but if you are looking for a feel good Christmas story then you have found the book! i could even picture this being the perfect Hallmark movie. I would advise that if you are struggling with infertility then you might want to skip this one. As someone who struggled to get pregnant, I could see someone finding this story discouraging and frustrating. Fill up a cup of hot cocoa and start this book today!.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber is touching Christmas story. I began reading it and did not stop until I finished. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas has Debbie Macomber’s delightful writing which drew me right in. Her characters are developed, and the story moved along at a steady pace. Mrs. Miracle is sent by Gabriel to help Helen, Laurel and Zach. Helen has been praying for her granddaughter who has lost faith as well as hope after failed IVF treatments and an unsuccessful adoption. Zach still has hope, but he is not the praying type. Helen, Laurel’s grandmother, has dementia and her life has shrunk to the point where she sits in a chair trying to knit and watching television. With Mrs. Miracle taking care of Helen, her life expands. Helen finds new activities and new friends with her favorite being the kindly Mrs. Miracle. I thought Laurel and Zach’s struggles were realistic. I could feel their turmoil and sadness. There are some bright moments for the couple along with angelic guidance. There were humorous scenes that had me laughing out loud. I especially enjoyed Mrs. Miracle mentioning her friends, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Mrs. Miracle enlists their assistance for a job or two. I like the inclusion of this segment of the Twenty-Third Psalm, “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.” We see how important it is to never lose hope or faith. God does listen to our prayers and He answers them in His own way and when He feels it is time. We need to remember that patience is a virtue (like Mrs. Miracle, I struggle with this one). It also tells us that we should be grateful for what we do have instead of what we do not have. I am guilty of this as well. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is a heartwarming Christmas tale that will lift your spirits and touch your heart. I was happy for the epilogue that beautifully wrapped up this touching tale. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is an uplifting story with heavenly help, grandmotherly guidance, holiday happenings, a spirited Christmas Eve service and the mysterious Mrs. Miracle.

The perfect Christmas story!

I have not read all of the Mrs Miracle series. I have seen some of the movies and have read a story here or there but of course the stories can be stand alones. These stories are not only about romance but about the faith of Christmas, God and yourself.

When Laurel and Zach are coming to their wit’s end in walks Mrs Merkel/Miracle who is an angel, literally. And she makes no qualms about it where Helen (Laurel’s unhealthy mother) is concerned. Mrs Miracle is there whenever Laurel needs her.

Mrs Miracle reminds us of what Christmas is supposed to be about. It is about helping, loving and faith. This is a perfect book to remind ourselves who we should be and remind us there are always angels on our shoulders.

Debbie Macomber and Mrs. Miracle never fail to win my heart. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is no exception to that. It was wonderful!

Every good thing you can imagine about Christmas stories and Debbie Macomber books in general applies here. This book was heartwarming and fun, uplifting and left me with a longing not only for Christmas, but the return of the days when people treated each other well and had faith in something - a higher power, the power of love etc.

Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. Then curl up with a warm drink, some soft music and enjoy this lovely Christmas tale.

I loved having another Mrs. Miracle novel to read after so long. This was a very emotional book that dealt with some tough situations. It also was a great reminder that miracles do happen at Christmas. Mrs. Miracle once again comes at a family's time of need and is part of making their Christmas one to remember. The cover of this book looks like a Hallmark movie- absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book!

I’m so glad to see Mrs. Miracle return for another lovely heartwarming Christmas story. By Debbie Macomber.
In this installment in the Mrs. Miracle series, an angel is sent to Earth to help a young couple whose hearts have been broken by their failure to become parents. The couple cares for their elderly grandmother who is starting to have memory issues. Fearing for the grandmother’s health, they hire a caregiver to help out before Christmas, Mrs. Miracle. The caregiver is actually an angel in disguise sent to help prepare the couple for a baby who will come into their lives through adoption.
In typical Macomber fashion, she had me tearing up with all the feels by the end.

Beautiful holiday story although it could really be read anytime of year. Laurel and Zach have struggled with infertility and adoption issues for years which has made Laurel lose her faith in God. They live with Laurel's grandmother who is struggling with memory issues. They decide to hire a daytime caregiver to watch over Helen while they both work full-time. Enter Mrs. Miracle-an angel sent from God. This story was so heartwarming and full of not just Christmas cheer but the love of family and also the realistic love between a married couple who is struggling. Thanks to NetGalley and Random House-Ballantine for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review!

A heartwarming story of the perfect Christmas gift.
Laurel McCullough is due for some good news. She's been watching her beloved grandmother Helen slowly decline from dementia. And it's finally time to bring in assistance, yet no one has any availability.
Imagine their surprise when Mrs. Miracle shows up on the doorstep. She is the answer to their prayers in more ways than they can imagine.
Laurel and her husband, Zach, have been been struggling with infertility and have given up hope of ever having a child of their own. After a devasting turn during the adoption process Laurel has lost faith. Yet Zach still has hope and prayers for a baby to complete their family.

This is a Christmas tale extraordinaire. Laurel McCullough and her husband Zach are trying to cope with their lives as they are. Laurel teaches in a near-by elementary school, while Zach works in IT at Amazon. When they married, they both wanted a family, but have found through in vitro and an adoption gone bad that this is probably not going to happen. Still, the idea of a baby is Laurel’s fondest wish, though she has banished all talk of children from the household because it is too upsetting. In addition, Laurel’s beloved grandmother, Helen, is showing signs of onset dementia. Because of this and because the in vitro costs stretched Laurel’s and Zach’s budget almost to breaking, the couple have moved into Helen’s house to be with and care for Helen while saving some money. In comes Mrs. Miracle. When Helen’s condition shows signs of worsening, Mrs. Miracle, ostensibly from a local home care organization, shows up on their doorstep, and things begin to take a turn for the better. Helen’s condition improves. The thought of a baby become real again. The whole household falls quickly under the spell of this magnificent angel/care giver.

This is a real holiday story. The setting is perfect. The characters, each with their own needs and agendas are perfect. Mrs. Miracle’s appearance in their time of need is perfect. My only problem, if there was one, is that a lot of the story stretches the imagination. Things just go too well, with every wish, prayer or thought answered just the right way. Still, this is a holiday feel-good story, and it definitely gives the reader a good picture of everything going the right way—almost too good to be true. If the reader is looking for a sweet, perfect holiday read to get him or her into the mood or if the reader enjoys the author’s books and style of writing, this is the ideal book for you. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

If you read no other Christmas book this holiday season let me assure you this is the one you want to read. I've read all of the author's angel books and thought I had read this one as well until I realized to my utmost delight this is a new Shirley,Goodness and Mercy book. She started with her angel books in the late nineties so I had no idea she would write a new one.
This is truly what you want in a Christmas book, heartwarming in so many ways wrapped up in cookies and tea with a strong helping of faith and a belief of miracles.

Another great holiday story from one of my favorite authors. Such an uplifting and positive story of a couple who have suffered from infertility and disappointment. Prayer is a powerful and personal thing and this wonderful story makes you believe in the power of prayer.
