As the holiday season begins, Laurel McCullough could use some good news. She and her husband, Zach, have been praying for a baby that seems more and more like an impossible dream.
Now her beloved Nana is having issues with her memory. When Laurel contacts a local home-care organization for help, there are no caregivers available. Then miraculously Mrs. Miracle appears on their doorstep.
Is this lady the answer to their prayers in more than one way.
This book is both delightful and heart rending. A tearjerker in places this wonderfully written holiday tale is one that is not to be missed.
I have seen the movies that were made for TV of the other Mrs. Miracle titles but this is my first time reading one. I read this book very quickly and enjoyed every minute.
Debbie Macomber writes a compelling tale that will have you laughing one minute and crying the next.
I gave this book 4.65 of 5.0 stars for story line and characterization. Everyone who is a fan of TV Christmas movies will be familiar with the Mrs. Miracle character. This is another book that deserves to be featured as a TV movie.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Mrs. Miracle shows up on the doorstep of a couple coping with a terrible loss and caring for a grandmother slipping into dementia. She shows up at just the right time and says just the right things to renew their faith. An uplifting Christmas story and quick read that warmed my heart just like a Hallmark movie.

It's been a hot minute since I've read a Debbie Macomber novel. Even better that it is a Christmas one! I LOVE Christmas! I've loved Mrs. Miracle and her antics from the first Mrs. Miracle novel. Mrs. Miracle was the perfect dose of faith for Laurel and Zach, but also the perfect companion for Helen as she struggled with dementia. This story isn't about religion. You don't have to subscribe to any one religion to have faith and believe. Life doesn't happen according to our time stamps. This was the perfect story to let us sit back, take a deep breath, and reflect. Having faith isn't only believing in God and his many gifts, but also having faith in oneself. I needed to read the words Ms. Macomber wrote during this season of my life to renew faith in myself but also to prepare for the holiday season to come.

It is that time of year when Debbie Macomber releases her holiday novel, and this year we are in for a very special treat. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas reunites us with the beloved Mrs. Miracle, as well as Shirley, Goodness and Mercy...all characters that fans fell in love with from previous holiday novels.

Laurel and Zach have endured more than most couples. The one thing they want more than anything is a child of their own. After several failed attempts, they tried adoption. They were blessed with a little boy that they fell in love with, but later he was taken away and given back to his biological family. The hurt and pain was just too much to bear, and Laurel has lost faith in ever having a child to love. Zach, on the other hand, still holds out hope that they will have a child someday.

In addition to the stress of not being able to have children, Laurel and Zach have to contend with Laurel's grandmother, Helen (Nana). Helen's health is rapidly declining, and they need to make a decision on what to do about Helen while they are both at work. Laurel contacts Caring Angels, a local organization of caregivers, but is told with the busy holiday season, none are available. However, Mrs. Miracle magically appears at their door, and they are told she has been sent by Caring Angels. Laurel and Zach never question her mysterious arrival, and both are thrilled when Helen and Mrs. Miracle immediately hit it off. As the days turn into weeks, they notice a definite improvement with Helen, but yet they notice other changes as well. Helen is convinced that Mrs. Miracle is an actual angel, and initially they decide their is no harm in letting Helen think that. However, they begin to notice other things...strange things...that cannot be explained. Mrs. Miracle seems to know too much personal information about them, and something is not adding up. Zach is especially suspicious when in addition to that, he starts receiving signs suggesting that a baby is in their future. Is it just wishful thinking, or have his prayers been heard?

As the story unfolds, we see the bond between Helen and Mrs. Miracle grow even stronger, and the two women develop an amazing friendship. Mrs. Miracle shares a secret with Helen...one that will change everything. Zach is also harboring a huge secret, one that will be devastating for Laurel if she finds out about it. Will both secrets finally be revealed? You will have to read the book to find out.

The story that unfolds is truly a heartwarming and beautifully written story with an amazing cast of characters. I love the return of Mrs. Miracle, as well as Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Mrs. Miracle is a character that always offers hope, even in situations when all faith seems to be lost. Of course, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are the three angels that fans of Debbie Macomber have always loved...especially since their determination to answer prayers are not always done in a conventional way. Laurel is a woman suffering from the heartbreak of not being able to have a child, and her faith has been diminished. Zach, unlike Laurel, has not lost his faith, and truly feels that his prayers will be answered. Mrs. Miracle, once again, is the perfect one to show us all that anything is possible if you just believe!

I would like to thank Debbie Macomber and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this book. My views are my own, and are in no way influenced by anyone else.

I felt like I was in the middle of a Hallmark movie. I read through this story so fast and was sad when it ended. As a new mom and someone who has done elderly care, I know how hard it can be to manage these tasks. Kindness and compassion goes a long way.

It is very rare for me to give five stars on a book but this one was amazing! Adoption is very dear to me as I adopted my daughter over twenty years ago. The struggles and emotions are indescribable. Laurel and Zach were portrayed true-to-life in this regard. Plus, it was a bonus to have an appearance by the angels Shirley, Goodness and Mercy! This one will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit!

Christmas is still 3 months away, but I was so excited to read Debbie Macomber’s newest Christmas book, A Mrs. Miracle Christmas!

Laurel McCullough and her husband, Zach, dream of expanding their family and having a baby. They have struggled for years with infertility and have suffered heartbreak after heartbreak with unsuccessful adoptions. This Christmas, Laurel turns her focus to her aging grandmother, Helen and finding her a caregiver. Laurel has no luck in finding a caregiver and then miraculously a guardian angel named Mrs. Miracle shows up at their door!

This story follows these characters during the holiday season and it is a heartwarming treat! Mrs. Miracle has been featured in some of Macomber’s other Christmas novels and a couple of them have even been made into Hallmark movies.

Debbie Macomber is one of my go-to authors and I am never disappointed with her storytelling. I will admit that the story is predictable, but it is very well-written and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and their story. I finished this one in two days. If you are looking for a cozy and easy holiday read, I highly recommend this one.

4/5 stars!

I appreciate @netgalley and @ballantinebooks for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

One of my favorite things about this time of year is a holiday release from Debbie Macomber. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is an early holiday present that surpasses any expectations that you might have. Mrs. Miracle is one of my favorite characters that Debbie Macomber has created, but she also included Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy...the three goofy but, lovable angels from her previous holiday books. A great holiday read that is funny and pulls at your heart strings.

Christmas is not complete without a Christmas book by Debbie Macomber. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is wonderful. I haven’t enjoyed one of Ms. Macomber’s Christmas books as much as this one since the Season of Angels when I first discovered this author yeas ago. More faith based than many of her romances, I identified with the characters dealing with the issues of aging and dementia. It gave me encouragement as a loved family member of mine is now like Laurel’s grandmother. Her grandmother’s health is but one of Laurel’s disappointments in life. There are unexpected joys in this story with the biggest coming to Zach and Laurel.

Keeping your faith when dreams seems to be completely shattered is a lesson that Zach and especially Laurel learn through her grandmother and special companion, Mrs. Miracle. I LOVED Shirley, Goodness and Mercy making an appearance. Sometimes more than one angel is required. Such an uplifting, encouraging story for anyone.

The publisher through Net Galley provided an ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas:by Debbie Macomber
Mrs. Miracle shows an ordinary family that they are blessed beyond belief in this uplifting holiday tale from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.
As the holiday season begins, Laurel McCullough could use some good news. She and her husband, Zach, have been praying for a baby that seems more and more like an impossible dream, and they’ve had to move in with her beloved grandmother, Helen, who’s having trouble taking care of herself. But when Laurel contacts a local home-care organization for help, there are no caregivers available.
Then Mrs. Miracle appears at the door. No stranger to lending a helping hand to a family in need, Mrs. Miracle reveals herself to be nothing short of a godsend. Helen’s even convinced she’s an angel! And Laurel can’t help but notice that with Mrs. Miracle’s companionship, Helen is noticeably happier and more engaged, decorating the family Christmas tree and setting up the nativity. In the meantime, Laurel and Zach encounter curious signs, all pointing toward the arrival of a special baby.
As Christmas approaches, there appears to be even more to Mrs. Miracle than meets the eye. In a classic tale of Debbie Macomber’s signature seasonal magic, Laurel, Zach, and Helen experience a holiday of heavenly proportions.
This is Laurel McCullough her husband, Zach's story.
This is Laurel beloved grandmother, Helen's story.
Laurel McCullough arrived home to find two police cruisers parked in the driveway with their lights flashing. If that wasn’t enough to get her heart racing, it was seeing her grandmother on the front porch, clearly distressed, wringing her hands and looking around anxiously.
Laurel slammed her vehicle into park and leaped out of her car, nearly stumbling in her eagerness to find out what had happened.
“Nana,” she cried, rushing toward her grandmother.
Laurel’s brain raced with how best to deal with this latest situation. Last week, her grandmother had lost her way in the neighborhood, the very one she’d lived in for more than fifty years. Nana had gone out to collect the mail and noticed that the neighbor’s new puppy, Browser, had escaped his yard. She’d followed him to try to bring him back and hadn’t been able to find her way home. Eventually, the neighbor had found the puppy, along with Helen, and had brought Laurel’s visibly upset grandmother back home with her.
Nana looked pale and frightened. “The doctor said that would happen, didn’t he? Me getting more and more confused? Wasn’t it only last week when I got lost?
Laurel nodded. The dementia had become significantly worse over the last several months. It was at the point that she didn’t feel comfortable leaving her grandmother alone. But what choice did she have? Their financial resources were tight. All she could do was pray that she and Zach, her husband, could come up with a way to manage these new issues that Nana was having.
I highly recommend reading.

This is a wonderful book with one of my very favorite characters, Mrs. Miracle. Laurel and Zach have had a difficult time trying to have a baby, and have been through several heartbreaking situations. Laurel loses faith in ever having a family,. When her grandmother begins to show signs of dementia, Mrs. Miracle arrives to be her caregiver. While her presence is a true blessing, Zach hides a secret from Laurel that could end their marriage. It was wonderful having Mrs. Miracle and her fellow angels in a story again. Please keep them coming Debbie Macomber!
