What time do we have to cook and prepare when you are a mother, wife and on the go constantly? We don’t! Most recipes in this book are quick and easy and can be made in one Sunday afternoon and prepared for the week. I am not a huge fan of peanut butter, or any kind of nut butters. But all the other recipes in this book look good and savory, some sweet. Great additions to our daily meals as a snack.

Thank you to Net Galley and Quarto Publishing/Fair Winds Press for a copy in return for my honest review.

I really love that the low carb snacks were broken down in categories. Plus I had to save some recipes to make later, even though I haven't made any yet. But my favorite recipe would have to be those Cinnamon Donut Holes, well anything donut related is down my alley. Overall, I recommend this to anyone wants to whip up some snacks from easy to medium levels. Thanks so much Netgalley, the authors and publishers for giving this book to read and review for ya'll.

I greatly enjoyed Super Low-Carb Snacks. I have not tried any of the recipes yet but found the ingredients, and steps simple and easy to follow. I really enjoy cookbooks that show pictures of the what the meal is supposed to look like, so at least I have an idea of what my end product should look like, Super Low-Carb Snacks delivered by providing a photo for many of the recipes. Having had weight loss surgery a few years ago finding small snacks that are full of flavor, healthy, and having a variety of options to choose from are top priorities for me, Super Low-Carb Snacks appears to have met all of those! I greatly enjoyed the book, and excited to try out the recipes.

I'm a sucker for aesthetic food pictures, and this has some pretty amazing food photography skills. The layout is beautiful, simple, and easy to follow.
What I love is how it teaches you ways to make healthier versions of your favourite sweets and junk food like: nut butter, homemade chocolate, chocolate balls
As a chronic snacker, I loved reading the section about at-home snacks as well as on-the-go snacks
Most of these need less than 10 minutes to prepare, and many of the ingredients are accessible to even beginner cooks (like me)
I was drooling over prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and crispy okra sticks
It's amazing how much healthy vegetables went into many of the recipes
Plus it has nutritional facts to tell you the macronutrients of a serving that you make.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

This book caught my eye because I try to limit my intake of processed foods (including most carbs) while my mom is on a permanent low-carb plan. In particular, I wanted to look for recipes that we might enjoy the few times a year when we're together.

I'm familiar with a lot of the common low-carb snack recipes out there. What sets this book apart is the sheer variety--and the great photographs throughout make the food all the more appealing. This book does rely on many of the same base ingredients for many recipes, so once you stocked your cabinet with these, you'd find many ways to use them. In particular are many uses for coconut (butter, milk, nectar, shredded), heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, and a wide variety of nuts. The author seems quite aware of the reliance on nuts, and therefore has an entire chapter near the end that's all about nut-free recipes. Things like bacon are used often, but the book is overall pretty friendly to those who eschew meat.

I did find several recipes I want to try, including two new types of homemade nut butter: spiced maple and pecan butter, and pumpkin sun butter.

Full nutritional information is included with each recipe, and the portion sizes are easy to understand (unlike in some cookbooks). Some of the recipes struck me as higher in carbs than I anticipated to find in a book of this nature, so definitely read the fine print on the nutritional facts before you think it's-in-the-book-so-it-must-be-okay.

One of my biggest struggles with trying to maintain a low carb lifestyle is being hungry between meals. Usually for low carb snacks I turn to Whisps, which are delicious cheese crackers, but that can get monotonous not to mention expensive. I love that I have that option for something quick, but it is nice to have a book full of a variety of options, both sweet and savory. There are so many recipes I want to try out of the book. One section that I am particularly excited about is the smoothie section. I didn't think that there were many smoothie options for low carb lifestyles but I was wrong. There are lots of options I can't wait to try. I also think that there are some new and interesting savory fat bombs in Super Low-Carb snacks, as well as plenty of recipes to satisfy my sweet tooth. I recommend this book to anyone who lives a low carb lifestyle or just wants some new healthy treats to try.

One of the most difficult things about doing a low-carb lifestyle is the snacks. I am a late-night snacker and this book is amazing! It gives some amazing snack ideas and recipes with beautifully colored images. Don't carb-up because you are hungry and don't know what to eat, find a healthier and more carb-friendly snack!

If you love snacks as much as me and you live a low-carb life...you need this book! Do not think twice or you'll find yourself eating a bag of chips as comfort food...

For those living a more “back to nature” food regimen, this book is quite healthy and helpful. Recipes are unique and easy to follow. Ingredients ought to be found at your local health food store. On,y downside is they take more time to prepare if you’re not used to, for example, making your own mayonnaise.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Not sure if I can really commit to a low carb diet. I really do like my carbs way too much. The thing is though, I want to try.... this recipe book is me doing just that. My first hurdle is, my head, I’ve spent way too long on low fat diets, I can’t comprehend eating so much fat as being healthy, but, as has been proven, Atkins, and now Keto, do speed up weight loss. The recipes look tasty, some are super quick and easy to make. Sourcing some of the ingredients proved difficult for me, but where there’s a will there’s a way. Great intro, with good advice, and recipes to really make those taste buds tingle in appreciation. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest review.

This follows latest thinking. Carbs and sugar are the devils food! Fat is good. Well no not really, it depends on your life style. If you are active and do lots of exercise you might burn off these ‘fat bombs’ if not you’ll just fur up your arteries and died of a heart attack!
Carbs are fuel. So to do lots of intense activity you need something to burn, fat, carbs and less so sugar. Think of lighting a fire. Carbs and fat are your fuel. they are the wood or coal/oil. It’s hard to light coal/oil. Easier to light wood. Once you have a fire going then you can feed it coal/oil. They are the slow burn. It’s the balance that’s the difficult one. Everyone needs their own balance. This book will certainly give you the high burn fuel in the occasional ‘fat bomb’ tasty snacks but, pease don’t make it your diet if you are not doing high intensity exercise to burn it off!

So many good looking, yummy snacks to make that I didn't even think about eating like different types of savory fat bombs. I can't wait to try them. Of course I'm sad some of the baked goods are too high for Keto, but maybe those will be a special treat.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Full of delicious snacks made from real foods. You'll find options for any time of day as well as recipes that will work beautifully for parties and picnics as well as yummy drinks. I also liked that the recipes didn't require fancy appliances or techniques.

My one concern is that many of the recipes use maple syrup as a sweetener. Some folks using this book for low-carb snacks might find this a problem. Skip those recipes, there is plenty of great stuff here.

Yummy low carb snacks! I wish there were more keto friendly options, but then the book would be called keto snacks. Love the lay out of the recipes, would love a part two!

Super Low Carb Snacks has a great variety of sweet and savory snacks. And I love how some of these snacks can then be used as part of a meal or as an appetizer for a party. They even have a section on drinks like hot cocoa and smoothies. I did have an issue that some recipes included coconut palm sugar or honey/maple syrup. Even though these treats are still lower in carb than the original it's still would like to use a sugar alternative like stevia or monkfruit. Or it would have been nice if they gave the option for those recipes. For example, the Blonde Snack Bars use 1 cup of coconut palm sugar resulting in a piece being 15.3 net carbs. I guess those recipes can be good if you having a carb up day but still want to remain on the lower side then let's say eating a stack of Bisquick pancakes. Just wish there were alternatives in those recipes.
