It was a somewhat enjoyable read but using really care for the story line.
I really hate to give three stars but it just wasn't my cup of tea...sirry.

Although this was a little different than what I was expecting, I enjoyed Saam and Lorie’s story. By the title, I thought this would be a little more flirty and sexy fun, but the “forbidden” type relationship was a good read. I was a little unsure of Saam in the beginning with his aloof and almost rude behavior, but when he explained why he was that way, it made perfect sense and I respected him for being a doctor who is really there for his patients and had their best care as his priority. He really grew on me and I fell in love with him.

I thought Lorie was a bit wishy-washy with her back and forth when it came to how she felt and what to do about those feelings and her job. To me the answer was pretty clear.

Overall a really good read and I loved true or dare. <3

I’m not entirely sure what I didn’t love about this book but it didn’t quite work for me. Part of the problem is that the blurb, title, and cover all implied I’d be getting a lighthearted, fun, sexy romp of a book. But the actual story was quite a bit more complicated than that and while I wholeheartedly enjoy complicated, plot driven stories, I think there was a real disconnect here between the story that was marketed vs. the story that was actually written.

I also found the characters to be a little one-dimensional and cliched. There were issues with the pacing and there was a whole lot of telling vs. showing. Overall, the premise was very good, I just wish the author delved more into the complexities of a woman in the position Lorie found herself in, having to create serious boundaries between her professional and personal lives, when the two became a little to intertwined. But because there was also the lighthearted sexting aspect, it kind of took away from the more serious aspects of the plot and didn’t leave much room, if any, for character development.

I think my real problem with this book is that it couldn’t decide what it wanted to be: a sexy, fluffy, romp of a romance or a more serious, topical, issue oriented one. And sadly, it did neither one all that well.

Excellent medical romance with lots of cultural, religious and business interactions that are problems. Dr Saam Sherazi is a new physician who specializes with diabetes no matter the patients age. Lorie is a pharmaceutical company that has a good device that a child could easily use. Dr. Saam doesn't like pharmaceutical reps taking time away from his patients. They immediately seem to dislike one another but they're forced together and problems start building up. The characters are interesting and entertaining as is the story line. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. C!aire. I received a complementary copy of this book via Net Galley and chose to write my review.

When I read the title of this book, I thought that it would be full of sexy, flirty texts between two people as they built a relationship. There were a few sexy texts plus some other texts that would have been better if instead of spelling out the emoji's the actual emoji's had been used. Lorie is so stuck in her head and so worried about what everyone else thinks and pleasing everyone but herself, that she almost loses out on the most important thing in her life. Saam is so introverted and professional and wrapped up in his career that at first you wonder how any of his patients could like him, yet over time you come to see the "true him" and find he is very likable. This book was a little hard to get thru and I wish it had related a little more to its title, but it was still a good book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What could have been a run of the mill romance is elevated by the professional relationship of Lorie and Saam. The medical ethics that are addressed throughout the novel add a level of importance to their decisions. I appreciated that, as it gave me pause to evaluate their actions along with them – I like a romance that makes me think. The author also did a great job of building their relationship so that it all seemed very natural (and at times, hot!). I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and look forward to reading more from this author. Thank you to NetGalley, Random House-Loveswept, and the author for a complimentary, pre-release, digital ARC of this book.

Meh. Having worked at a Pharma company previously, I understood the dynamic of the working relationship between Saam and Lorie, and the concerns they had, but their chemistry never jumped off the page for me. Saam went from not acknowledging her to not being able to function without her in a matter of seconds. It all just seemed disjointed and I couldn't really get into this one.

This was a fun read! It started a little slow, but yet still didn't lose my interest. Both main characters are very relatable as individuals. Both Saam and Lorie are very career focused, with a need to be moralistic in their approach to their jobs. Yet, true love will out - but the ride to get there is definitely an interesting roller coaster. You'll be rooting for Saam and Lorie to find a way to solve their issues in pursuit of their HEA.

I really enjoyed this book!

Lorie and Saam have kind of an instant connection of a bit awkward and that made this story so sweet!

Great writing. I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

A somewhat entertaining read, but I didn't really care for either character and ultimately had a difficult time finishing this book.

A super fun, very contemporary romance. Perfect for today's 2o somethings! Characters were interesting and made for a perfect escapist read.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

So totally not what I expected. I was expecting light and flirty with a bunch of dirty texts. And there were dirty texts, but not as many as I'd hoped for...and it was not quite as light as it seems like it should be. Saam is a doctor with laser focus and has no time for drug reps. Lorie is a drug rep trying to get a new medication in front of him. He keeps turning her down until a mistaken exchange of phones leads to a slowly building relationship. But their relationship is totally verboten because he's considered to be a client.

I think I would have liked this read better if it was marketed a little differently. The title and cover image, and the synopsis give a different impression than I think the author was going for. I actually enjoyed the story when I realized it wasn't going to be what I was expecting.

This review is going to look at the new romance I Wanna Sext You Up by Evie Claire. It was released yesterday, Tuesday August 20, 2019–so go find a copy! I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley. I Wanna Sext You Up is the second installment in Claire’s Let’s Talk About Sext series. The books can be read consecutively, or independently.

This romance centers on Lorie Braddock, a rookie pharmaceutical sales representative who is trying to sell a new way to treat diabetes patients. One of the young doctors on her circuit, Dr. Saam Sherazi, is highly career driven and has ignored, kicked out, and even banned some of the representatives on Lorie’s team from his office. She also happens to be a former beauty pageant queen, a real southern belle.

Lorie goes above and beyond and gets a meeting with Saam. She notices that they have the same phone and puts her’s out on the desk to show him. In her rush to leave–you guessed it–she grabs the wrong phone, and in returning their phones to each other, they have to meet again, which leads to sparks, and of course sexts, flying.

Will Lorie and Saam be able to navigate making a relationship work? Or will they get stuck losing out on each other for the sake of others and their jobs? This was a quick, fun read so I suggest you take a little time and go find out! I know I’ll be going back to find the series’s first installment Let’s Talk About Sext at some point to return to the work romance world that Evie Claire has created.

Happy Reading 🙂

Lorie and Saam have a really cute meet. I love it. I love the banter and relationship building that goes into bringing this story life. I like that Lorie works so hard to succeed after what she goes through. I love the geek in Saam. This is a delightful story and is so fun to read. The story is not drama free and that just makes it more realistic.

This book started out slow for me, but soon, I got into it. It's actually way better than i expected! After the first few chapters, i wasn't able to put it down.

The only problem i had with the book, was the title. I actually let it sit fiw awhile, thinking, this is not my style book. Huge, awesome surprise thst it was.

Thanks for ARC!

Lorie and Saam aren't a match that I would have thought would work. Saam is a complete introvert. He comes off as rude to start, but really is just very shy and determined to do the best work he can. Lorie is an extrovert used to being around others and in constant contact with her friends. But they surprisingly fit together. I was rooting for them to find a way to work everything and out and I did enjoy their story. Plus I had such a crush on Saam! I received an advance copy of the book from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The storyline was good and the characters were interesting enough to keep my attention as each and every page was turned!

I thought that this was a good read but it really wasn't what I expected. The title of this book is very deceptive. I mean, I guess it's my fault for making assumptions but the blurb and title really lead me to believe that this would be a fun and flirty read and that just isn't the case. Now if you take all that out of the equation, you have a solid plot idea and a interesting storyline. As for the characters Saam and Lorie, I thought they were OK. I really, really wanted to like these characters (especially Saam) but neither ever succeeded in clicking with me. Add in the fact that I felt this couple's chemistry was just so-so at best and the fact that even by the end of the book I just couldn't believe that either character would put love and emotions over success and career and for me, all these things equaled a romance, that well, wasn't very romantic.

Lorie Braddock is all about job and career, and she doesn’t have time for men. As a drug rep for a cutting-edge insulin product, she calls on Dr. Saam Sherazi, a handsome, infuriating young physician who's all business and impossible to read. When they both lower their defenses and act on their mutual attraction, Lorie has serious concerns that their relationship will jeopardize both of their professional lives.

After reading the first book in this series by this author I was impressed, but with this one she goes on my list of must-read authors because this book is even better than the last. Saam and Lorie are vivid, endearing, believable characters, and their conflict is refreshingly authentic rather than contrived. They easily won me over early on, and I read their story in one sitting, eager to see how things would work out.

Lorie is a strong, smart professional woman, and her care and compassion for others is admirable. And Saam, bless his heart, is geeky and socially awkward, and all the more endearing for it. With delicious chemistry, lots of tugs at the heartstrings and humor sprinkled throughout, this one easily kept me glued to the page as I devoured Saam and Lorie's story. If you’re like me and love finding new authors, you’ll definitely want to give this one a read. It's heartfelt, evocative, funny, fantastic and guaranteed to please!

*I read an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.

Lorie is serious about her job as a drug rep for Lampalin. Saam is a Doctor dedicated to his patients and to research on diabetes. He doesn't have time for distractions. She wants to get his attention for her insulin, kid friendly package to make herself Sales Rookie of the Year . This is their story. A well written, witty, intriguing read. Learn if they can weave their way through the pathways of life with integrity or lose the battle of love.
PS: The phone sext is something else.
