I think I liked the idea of this book more than the book itself. I was interested in learning about Darcy's fantasies and exploring that aspect, but that didn't really go on. Instead, there was just mostly blow jobs and traditional sex with an occasional 'yes sir'. This book just felt somewhat bland to me despite the great characterization of Darcy.

It was ok. The first half was pretty good but then the pace and tone changed for the second half and it kind of dragged.

Part of the DARE line, promising quick, steamy romances featuring couples exploring their desires, I picked this one up because the heroine is a ballerina who decides to do one night of burlesque at an exclusive club. Ever since Flowers in the Attic I have been sort of fascinated with ballerinas/dancers (I know I know) but here at least that is explored in a very sexy and consensual way.
Hot, and great chemistry between the couple, but I wanted a bit more emotional depth from the hero.

A sexy and erotic novel with a sweet and romantic ending, The Risk was a good book that I enjoyed. I do wish that the book had been a bit longer so there was more time to watch the relationship between Sebastian and Darcy grow; it felt like the storyline could have been developed more.
My first time reading a book from this author, she clearly has a skill for creating deep and authentic characters. Darcy was strong and disciplined but was able to let go with Sebastian. and Sebastian was rigid, his emotions seemingly frozen until he met Darcy. Darcy and Sebastian had an instant connection and the chemistry between them was amazing. It felt completely natural that what started out as mere sexual attraction morphed into something more emotional and real.
I liked that Sebastian’s story took place at the same time as Ash’s in The Debt and that we got to see his perspective of the events that occurred. Seeing Sebastian reach out to Ash was huge and I would have loved to have seen a resolution.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and would read it again.
ARC received from NetGalley.

This was a brilliantly steamy read. It really pushed boundaries in exploring this fantasy in a way where the heroine was always safe and in control. Will definitely read more by this author.

Love is a risk I will never take, a prize too good for a man who betrayed his family. That’s why I prefer to keep things transactional. So when I see an exquisite dancer in the exclusive Parisian billionaires club, turning her burlesque into an erotic art form, I’ll give whatever it takes to have her. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. Caitlin Crews is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

First of this author I've read and really enjoyed! Will be recommending her to customers, have a range of customers who will enjoy her writing style. Hopefully these will be in mass paperback for the customers!

I enjoyed The Risk but not as much as some of Crews other titles. The main characters were easy to picture and root for. There were a few parts that dragged but overall I fun little read.

Harlequin Dare ... not my Grandma's romance novel! Darcy meets Sebastian when she decides to dance in a burlesque club in Paris. He is a broken shell of a man and she's just the right woman to fix him.
Caitlin Crews #BillionairesClub is one hot series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks #NetGalley !

What an amazing book. Wonderful story the entire book. I absolutely love the characters and the story line. If you haven’t read this book yet I suggest you do

Another great harlequin novel this one with Ash’ s (from The Debt) half brother and his little dancer Darcy .....I can’t wait to read more from The Billionaires Club....
So far they are all great reads that I can’t put down, great writing and great stories......and did I mention the steamy sex .......in a harlequin novel.......yes!

This book was pretty good and this is one of my favorite authors. Sebastian was rich, handsome and sexy as hell but he had issues with a half brother and an alcoholic mother. Darcy was a ballerina with secret desires that she was going to have taken care of tonight. She was going to do a dance at a certain gentleman’s club and then play. Sebastian sat in the front and he was mesmerized by her and she danced only for him. At the end of the dance she let him buy her for the evening and after that he wanted more and she said no, fantasy over?! I loved that they made each other not just whole but better. Their families were also made better, it was well done. I really enjoyed this book and read it in one day.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is well written. There is just enough conflict and drama to keep it realistic. The characters are believable and interesting. There was a bit of mystery and darkness in the book. Having fantasies is something most people can relate to. "Because it was one thing to fantasize about something and another to do it. I already knew that all too well. It was my life." Darcy is a driven ballerina that knows what show wants and goes for it. The sex scenes are hot and titillating. This book will keep all walks of readers happy.

Hot and steamy, the perfect blend of romance and personal discovery. After reading Ash's book I was fully prepared to hate Sebastian. And I did until about halfway through the book. Then I fell in love just like I always do with these Dare books. Watching Seb and Darcy discover their own identities as well as each other was full of ups and downs. I wish we had seen the meeting between Seb and Ash from Seb's POV, but other than that I have zero complaints. Another great read.

The Risk was another amazing Caitlin Crews book that I could not get enough of. I enjoyed the first book in this standalone quartet series but new that Seb would have an amazing story to tell and boy did he deliver!
Overall, I loved the chemistry between Darcy and Sebastian and how sexy their connection was. What started out as a strictly erotic attraction and pull morphed into an emotional story where both Darcy and Sebastian needed to reconcile their feelings about love and feeling like they deserved to be loved. I absolutely love stories about Ballet dancers and this story really hit the spot. It was amazing to see how disciplined and controlled Darcy was until she was in Seb's arms.
But, while I loved the story I did find that the story was a little wordy with quite a bit of inner monologue at times, somewhat slowing down the pace of the story. I would also have loved to see Sebastian's final meeting with Ash as that was a huge arc that played majorly affected Sebastian's feelings of self worth. I would have loved seeing that resolution. Overall, this was a great read and I look forward to more from this author in the future.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

The Risk caught me by surprise---I expected less from this book than it gave. Both of the protagonists are surprisingly three dimensional, the plot is not altogether ridiculous, and more than half of the book is dedicated to the characters' personal lives and growth.
Although this novel exceeded expectations, it still ended up being a standard modern romance novel. The sexy, closed-off, controlling billionaire with the innocent, disciplined ballerina was not a drastic change for the genre. I can honestly praise this novel, however, for summing up the characters' personal growth into a well-written, succinct, single novel (as opposed to the over-the-top and much too long Fifty Shades trilogy.). The story also tackles the topics of infidelity, alcoholism, and parental relationships in ways that were realistic and relatable.
I probably wouldn't read this again because romance is not typically my genre, however this was one of the better romance novels that I've decided to read.

This had a lot of promise but the writing came off very dry and the little dialogue we get sounded abrupt and brittle when it should have been drowning in emotion. The only time I felt different was at the very end. We finally get some passion on the page between these two but it was too short lived to make much difference for me.
I really wanted to love this one because both MCs seemed really interesting but they just never had time to really develop. Their whole relationship happens off page with also didn't help it really flesh itself out.. Personally I'm not fond of time jumps where weeks and months pass and it's explained away in a sentence and that happens a lot here. You never get to experience their deep connect, you're just told they shared themselves hours, days and weeks later.
Even the erotic/steamy parts were just lukewarm for me.
