This had a lot of promise but the writing came off very dry and the little dialogue we get sounded abrupt and brittle when it should have been drowning in emotion. The only time I felt different was at the very end. We finally get some passion on the page between these two but it was too short lived to make much difference for me.

I really wanted to love this one because both MCs seemed really interesting but they just never had time to really develop. Their whole relationship happens off page with also didn't help it really flesh itself out.. Personally I'm not fond of time jumps where weeks and months pass and it's explained away in a sentence and that happens a lot here. You never get to experience their deep connect, you're just told they shared themselves hours, days and weeks later.

Even the erotic/steamy parts were just lukewarm for me.
