This was THE perfect blend of sweet, sexy, funny and #feels *happy sigh* outstanding

I have read a ton of Melissa Foster stories, so you would think it would be difficult for me to say Ben and Aurelia are the best people in the history of people that she has ever created … one would think, but no, I state it with conviction!! AND, their journey in this book was spectacularly delightful !!

Melissa could have taken this friend to lover trope that is not new to this genre and made it cliché and tiresome with the same old conflict. But she didn’t, and now I want to be her best friend *happy sigh* I am so frikking excited about every single plot point that I don’t want to even hint at any of them because every single one is just glorious to read! Even the conflict in the story wasn’t typical for this trope. I really need everyone on board with me and one-click this book immediately #TRUST

I have read the other books in this series and am addicted. Foster really hits the ball out of the park with this one. A baby in a basket at your front door, a billionaire, and a love sick, tired of waiting friend. Can friendship turn into love and parenthood? You will have to read to find out. I also can't wait to read Aiden's and Remi's story.

Melissa Foster is a GREAT author.

Call Her Mine is the first title in Melissa Foster's Harmony Pointe series. This might be the first book I've read from this author and I'm giving the book a 3.0 - 3.5 stars, and 4 stars for the cover art.

In this book we meet best friends since childhood Ben and Aurelia. Both are madly in love with the other but refuse to say anything in case it ends up messing up their friendship. I've read other books from other authors about best friends who are in similar situations and they all end up together in the end and with their friendships intact. What differs in this book is that a mysterious person leaves an infant on Ben's door step with a letter claiming the baby is his! Small town, big drama kind of story, a one night stand and the aftermath.

The reason why I'm giving it such a low score is because of the unrealistic story line. Aurelia is always agreeable with Ben and seem to have no problem going along with the crazy idea of being a "parent" to baby B aka Baby Ben even when the author is showing her having conflicted emotions about the situation she still goes along it. It was only mentioned once by Ben that he understood that everything happening was a lot to handle especially after each one confesses their romantic love for the other, that Aurelia could be resentful; of him spending time searching for the baby's mother, waiting and finding out whether or not Baby B is Ben's child, and the fact that if she is his then his life, and their life will drastically change. This whole book was too "neat" in how there's drama and conflict but not really. Now their juggling, playing house along with a newborn (which neither have experience with), Ben is dealing with a major business deal, and Aurelia is opening a new bookstore.

I can't image a woman who is madly in love would be so understanding to the point where it seems like there wasn't the intrusion of a living, breathing, newborn. Yes we see the characters' nerves being frazzled dealing with the daily life with a new baby although I'm not completely sure how long the entire story is (time frame wise). Ben came off a tad sheepish in the phone conversation with his father about Baby B, everyone in his family seems to be so understanding which I keep saying I know, no one bats an eye that he had a baby, the mother is missing, or the fact that the main characters are now in a relationship together and an instant family. And after one week we learn that that baby is indeed Ben's. We don't get to meet Baby Bea's mother until the very end of the book, and the reasoning why she left the baby on Ben's doorstep was because she found out she had a inoperable brain tumor and she passes away not too long after Ben legally gets custody of Baby Bea aka not Baby Bea Jane but Jane Bea. Once again this book was neat and tidy in how the birth mother shows up, has a legit reason why she left the baby, and quick fix so that the main characters could have their HEA. I liked some parts of the book but it wasn't believable. If the guy I'm best friend's with since forever, and we've confessed our love for each other and start a new relationship, and a baby is dropped on his doorstep claiming to be his. I really don't think that I would be okay with the situation and jump into a relationship and not feel resentful. Oh by the way the reason why he slept with those women were because Aurelia had dates those nights and this was his way to not have to think about who she was with. Except that one woman he did not sleep with because he was at her literary reading (costumed), but he didn't let her know he was there.

Such a fantastic story!! It was sweet and sexy, and of course a surprise baby was thrown into the mix. Aurelia and Ben are best friends, and they don't want to ruin their friendship. I would love to have a friendship like they did! Just when Aurelia was trying to move on, they're hit with a doozy of a surprise! They learn to work together, and try to find out who left a baby on the doorstep. Two single people learning to care for a baby, what could go wrong? Is it Ben's? Or is someone looking to make a quick buck?
There were some twists and turns in this book, and a few surprises you won't see coming. The chemistry between Ben and Aurelia was hot! Best friends make the best relationships, since they were already so close! I highly recommend this book, and can't wait for the next one!

Okay, so I have been waiting patiently for Ben and Aurelia's story since I met them in the first book of the Sugar Lake Series, I knew there was more then them just being friends going on but I didn't know how it would play out and I have to admit I was shocked by some of it. I will not post any spoilers but I will say that with all the sparks flying between the two of them it was just a matter of time before they crossed the line of friends only.

Aurelia wasn't the only one surprised to find out that Ben was a father, after finding a little girl left on his doorstep Ben couldn't believe the news. But once he got her in his arms he was a gonner.

This wasn't only a sweet story of a couple falling in love and starting a family, it was Ben and Aurelia coming to terms with the attraction they had been fighting for YEARS!!!! It was also dealing with becoming an instant family and finding the baby's momma to find out why she had just left her.

This story as with most of Melissa Foster's books pulls at your heartstrings while stetting your kindle ablaze. For me Melissa Foster is an author that comes easily to recommend, her stories pull you in from the very beginning and never let you go, and I mean never! I Love the Dalton family and I cannot wait to see the rest of them find their HEA's.

3.5 stars — This book was a mix of ups and downs for me! I was initially skeptical of the hero, but then quickly got sucked in by our MCs and their chemistry and all that good stuff. But somewhere along the way I started to get a bit bored, and my attention wandered.

Ben starts the book not looking very good. He came across really cocky, and a bit of a dick. Which is weird, b/c that’s not at ALL who he is for most of the rest of the book…which makes me happy, b/c he was a sweetheart eventually. But I can’t mash the two of them together, it’s like two different characters. I eventually found him to be kinda sassy and funny, but with a wonderfully thoughtful romantic side to him. But can I be weird for a sec? He got a bit too good to be true by the end…like, almost boring. Like, oh look, he did another thing spectacularly swoonily right…it didn’t feel authentic.

Aurelia was…not very memorable. I definitely didn’t dislike her, I thought she was sassy and fun! But she didn’t really stand out in the grand scheme of things. She was just…a cookie cutter heroine in some ways.

That’s actually a pretty good way of describing a lot of the book — it felt a bit cookie cutter. Which isn’t always a bad thing. Yesterday I was loving that predictability, but today when I finished the book I was just over it. I’m not sure what I was looking for that this book was missing, but there was definitely something.

As with everything else, I both LOVED the chemistry between Ben & Aurelia, but I also got bored of it after awhile. Their initial kiss scene, and subsequent steamy scenes were smoking! But then it became repetitive. *sigh* Maybe it’s me.

The story with Bea was pretty adorable, if without as much conflict as I’d expected. They fell in love and became attached like *that*. But the author did try to show the stress/harsh reality of a newborn as well.

The secondary characters brought quite a bit of fun, Ben’s family in particular was hilarious. And I adored Aurelia’s Grandma Flossie, she had so many great pieces of wisdom to pass along.

So yeah. A solid romance, but in the grand scheme of things not one I’m going to remember.

Call Her Mine is a very heart-warming and amusing read. The main characters have a deep love for each other and bad luck with timing.

I enjoyed Aurelia's sense of humor and smart-mouth. Her natural nurture behavior towards the baby is very touchy. Aurelia's timidness with telling her friend Ben how she felt frustrated me.

Ben did come off as a bit of a playboy. I probably wouldn't have taken his clues or hinting seriously either, so I understand why Aurelia didn't pick up on them either. Ben's first reaction towards the child made me frustrated with him. His instant denial that it was possible even though he slept around was disappointing. His turn around with his love and protective instincts towards the baby made me fall in love with his character.

Aurelia and Ben make such an adorable couple.

Call Her Mine is a smart twist on the friends to lovers romance. When Aurelia finds a baby in a basket on Ben’s front porch the dynamic between the two characters changes. Melissa Foster does a great job balancing the learning curve of caring for an infant, concerns about the baby’s health and immunizations with romance and lots of humor from Ben’s family.
Loved this conversation between Ben and his father Dan Dalton:
”Son, life is full of surprises. This one is unexpected, unsettling for you and Aurelia, I’m sure, but it sounds like you’ve already realized the beauty of the situation. And thank God Aurelia was there to help. She’s a good friend Ben, and I know you appreciate her. Life throws a lot of crap at us, and I hope you take a moment to soak in the goodness of this little miracle.”
I enjoyed reading how caring for a newborn changed Ben and Aurelia’s relationship. Aurelia didn’t end her friendship with Ben because he had a child—she stayed and helped him care for Baby Bea. Both characters changed during the story; high powered businessman Ben learned to delegate at work and recognized his true feelings towards Aurelia while Aurelia learned to multi task at work and express her feelings to Ben. There are a few surprises in the storyline and the couple’s dancing scene was perfectly written—there was no doubt that Ben was head over heels in love with Aurelia.
Call Her Mine tackles several serious issues – but more importantly shows the values of friendship and family. The friends to lovers romance has honest conversations, great secondary characters who add humor to the story. Ben and Aurelia shine in this story as they learn to trust each other as they navigate their new relationship and care for Bea.

Melissa Foster is a prolific romance novelist and I often find it hard to keep up with her books, but I’m always glad when I find the time to read one of them. This is no exception. This book is the first in a new spin off series ‘Harmony Pointe’. The protagonists are Ben Dalton who appeared in previous books about his sisters and Aurelia, his best friend.

Both Ben and Aurelia have loved each other since they were youngsters but as the older of the two, Ben knew he had too much to do to be a good boyfriend whilst he was at college. He left it too late and then their timing was never right. Years later Aurelia gave up on waiting for Ben because she thought he would never commit to anyone because he enjoyed being a bachelor so much, so moved to a different town to remove the temptation to pine over him. However, she still ends up asleep on his sofa on a regular basis, wrapped up his arms.

It was a morning just like this when Aurelia was leaving to go home and to her soon to be opening bookstore when she found a basket on the steps of Ben’s house. Inside was a baby and a note saying that Ben was the father. Finding the baby meant that Ben was completely out of his depth and leaned on his best friend in desperation, bonding them together into a tight unit.

This is not a book that is heavy on plot. It is, however, a lovely romantic tale of two people who have known each other for years and their shared love for a gorgeous baby. It’s a story of two really decent people in a strange situation doing their best for a defenceless baby. It’s a story about loving families who support each other at the same time they tease and mock. It’s sweet and funny and sad in places. There are no major fallings out or misunderstandings but it’s still an enjoyable and entertaining read. I definitely recommend it for when you are in the mood for a relaxing read and a Happy Ever After.

I really really loved this book. It was kind of a sappy romance about two best friends who always had feelings for each other but never got on the same wavelength about them until an unexpected event draws them closer and makes them confess their feelings. It was very sweet and very sappy but I absolutely adored it as the other parts of the story balanced out the fluffy mushy stuff perfectly. The characters were relatable and there were a lot of emotions involved. Excellent read.

I received an eArc version of Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster via Netgalley. When I discovered that it was accessible through Kindle Unlimited to read and listen, I decided on taking the audio route. Hence, my review is geared towards the audio version.

Ben Dalton and Aurelia Stark first came on my radar when they were introduced in the Sugar Lake series. Since then I have been waiting patiently for their story.

Call Her Mine is a friend to lovers’ story. Ben and Aurelia have been besties for most of their lives. Their feelings for each other went beyond friendship, but fear and misunderstandings prevented them from expressing how they felt about each other. Aurelia entered relationships, which would go nowhere, while Ben went the route of one-night stands. However, their lives got shook up, when one of Ben’s one-night stands left a baby on his front step.

I have to admit I found the story adorable and heart-warming. I loved how Ben stepped up to the plate to take care of the precious bundle of joy without knowing for sure if he was her father. His actions proved that he was capable of redemption.

I lift my hat to Aurelia. Few women would have stuck around after discovering that the man you have been crushing on has a child with another woman. Instead of running, she stood by him through it all. It proved that her feelings were the real deal.

The story had a wonderful blend of humour and romance. The story was drama free, which is usually the case with Melissa’s stories. However, she had me tearing up near to the end. I did not expect that scene, and it almost wrecked me.

Call Her Mine focused heavily on family and friendships, which is typical of Melissa’s work. Reading her books make me wish I had that family connection.

Narration
This was my first time listening to Isabelle Ruther. I thought she did an ok job. I could not get on board with her male voices, but she did an excellent job with those of the females. Her pacing and tone were good, and I loved how she brought out the emotions of the female characters.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Another great series starter from Ms. Foster and I would recommend to fans of contemporary romance.

J'adore les romans que j'ai découverts récemment en service presse et celui-ci, qui est le tome 1 de sa nouvelle série "Harmony Point Book", "Call her mine", m'a complètement emballée!


Je l'ai dévorée en quelques heures et je n'avais qu'une envie, une fois finie, lire la série précédente qui concerne les soeurs du héros (que l'on croise dans ce tome, il en reste une célibataire) et je me suis déjà procurée le tome 1. C'est une histoire d'amis/amants, de bébé imprévu, d'amour, de famille, d'amitié et au final, une belle histoire touchante que vous emportera par une fin bouleversante : bref, j'ai a-do-ré ce tome!

Il est sorti le 13 août en VO et je l'ai reçu en ARC (service presse VO) via Inkslinger Pr (et Net Galley US ) et je les remercie pour leur envoi, une nouvelle fois, et leur confiance.

c'est simple, il sera trèssss positif tant je l'ai aimé celui-ci : comme beaucoup d'auteures de romances américaines, Melissa Foster a le don de nous écrire une romance touchante et sexy et surtout de nous donner envie de plonger dans ses autres séries : BRA-VO!

Cette fois, nous faisons connaissance (pour moi du moins) de deux meilleurs amis qui se connaissent depuis l'enfance Ben (un business man qui a tout réussi) et Aurelia, une librairie, qui s'apprête à reprendre la librairie de ses grands-parents (qu'elle a un peu transformée) Une fois encore, ils ont passé la soirée ensemble, se sont endormis l'un avec l'autre (ils ont un peu bu) et ils se taquinent mais l'on sent qu'il y a, malgré leur complicité (ils sont meilleurs amis depuis très jeunes, bien que lui soit un peu plus âgé qu'elle) il y a une gêne qui vient du fait que tous deux sont amoureux l'un de l'autre MAIS aucun ne l'ose se l'avouer (et ils en souffrent, font un peu n'importe quoi, parfois, d'où ce qui va se produire, alors que tous leurs proches sont conscients de leurs sentiments) et Aurelia, Rels pour Ben, qui ne supporte plus cette situation, part au petit matin quand elle découvre sur le pas de la porte du jeune homme un couffin avec un bébé dedans et juste une lettre informant Ben que ce bébé est sa fille (ce qu'il ne croit pas au départ) et qu'elle est désolée mais ne peut pas faire autrement! Le problème, outre ce bébé, est qui est cette "elle"? car la lettre n'est pas signée! Ben va devoir faire amende honorable et revenir sur son passé (en faisant cela, il fait encore plus souffrir la jeune femme) et alors qu'elle se sauve pour rejoindre sa librairie (rassurez-vous, elle l'aide la première journée et la première nuit) le jeune homme finit par aller la retrouver (avec le bébé) et là, il finit par craquer (elle le menace de sortir avec des employés qui travaillent sur le chantier de sa librairie) et lui avoue ses sentiments! partagés évidemment... mais cette romance a-t-elle une chance d'aboutir avec un bébé de mère inconnue au milieu? est-elle vraiment sa fille? qui est la mère et pourquoi l'a-t-elle abandonnée? Ne risque-t-elle pas de changer d'avis et si oui, comment vont-ils réagir? et bien vous le saurez en lisant cet excellent roman!

Ces deux personnages sont tout ce que j'aime : ils sont amis avant d'être amants si bien que leur relation est basée sur du solide : bien sûr, il y a ce bébé qui arrive au moment où ils s'avouent enfin leurs sentiments et ça tombe mal car ils ont plein de choses à gérer mais ils vont faire face car ensemble, ils sont géniaux. De plus, ils ont des familles et amis qui les soutiennent : la famille surtout de Ben (et on a envie d'être amis avec eux : ils sont drôles et passionnés, surtout Piper, très prometteuse, c'est la seule à être encore célibataire et elle n'a pas peur de dire ou de montrer ce qu'elle veut) ou encore Remi (la soeur de son associé Aiden (celui-ci a élevé sa soeur âgée de 12 ans lors de la perte de leurs parents) et héroïne du prochain tome) mais je vais lire les histoire de Willow, Bridgette, Talia (les tomes de la série précédente, tant ils m'ont plu avec leurs maris) J'ai aussi aimé la grand-mère d'Aurélia, Flossie, une grand-mère idéale, drôle et sensée, qui l'a élevée (elle a perdu sa mère bébé et ne sait pas qui est son père)... bref, une famille et des amis qui contribuent à la richesse de ce tome.

Ben et Aurélia sont tous deux des gens biens qui s'aiment et une fois leurs sentiments avoués, ils vont encore évoluer, et former très vite une famille avec le bébé mais pas simple d'être un nouveau couple et d'avoir un bébé, sans s'y être préparés mais ils vont tout gérer de main de maître : ils sont passionnés et responsables : bref, j'ai adoré ces deux personnages.

Je vous le dis, outre cette romance sexy, le gros de l'intrigue tourne autour de ce bébé, de savoir qui est la mère et pourquoi elle l'a abandonnée ! attendez-vous à de forts moments...

J'ai hâte de lire la suite et les précédents et je n'ai qu'une chose à dire, si vous lisez en VO, FON-CEZ! roman génial...

Ben and Aurelia are best friends but want more. The book starts and suddenly all this chemistry is there. I didn’t read the previous series, so I don’t know how they interacted in those books, but then a baby is on his doorstep and the parenting starts.

It was too cheesy for me, once they start their relationship. Constant I love yous and lots of sex and Baby stuff until the last 15% percent, its very repetitive.

This book wasn’t for me.

Definitely my new top favourite read!! I absolutely loved everything about this book. This may be the ultimate friends to lovers romance! I completely fell in love with these characters and their story! I adored Melissa Foster and her books. They are laugh out loud funny and sweet and sexy as all heck. Melissa Foster has written another swoon-worthy sexy read. Ben Dalton might be a playboy who strings his best friend for too long but when it was time to step up and be the man he needs to be that is exactly what Ben did. Aurelia has been in love with Ben forever but when a baby is left at his door, she will help him even if her heart might get broken in the long run. Fair warning you will need some tissues for this book, I was a mess after reading this book. I love how Melissa’s add characters from her other series to give us updates. Looking forward to the next Harmony Pointe book

A really fun light read, lots of humour, slow burn, will they won’t they romance with lots of chemistry. A great book to curl up with and make you smile. Will definitely be looking for more books from Melissa now.

Aurelia and Ben have been best friends for years. They’ve been secretly desiring each other, without being aware that the other felt the same way. Whenever Ben was ready to make his move, it seemed that Aurelia (he calls her “Rels” and “Relsy”) just began dating a new man. So then a frustrated Ben would go out and have a meaningless one night stand. This cycle continues until Aurelia finally decides to move a little further away, and live close to the bookstore she’s about to open. All bets are off when Ben finds a basket on his doorstep with a baby girl inside, with a note saying she’s his.

Ben is a self made billionaire, and his first thought is that someone is out to get some money from him. After all, he’s never taken a chance with his sexual encounters, always having used protection. Still, if this really IS his child, he just can’t let her go into the system. He contacts his lawyer, and decides to have an immediate paternity test, while keeping the baby in his custody. He begs Aurelia to help him because he knows nothing about children. Their initial horror and cluelessness is really funny as the two novices fumble their way into caring for an infant.

Aurelia has a very soft heart and could never leave Ben when he needs her help desperately. She helps him with caring for Bea, as they call her, and also helps him try to figure out who the baby’s mother is, as she didn’t identify herself on the note. Their caring for the child leads them to a greater intimacy than they’ve ever shared before, and finally, they become lovers.

It was touching to watch this couple fall in love with baby Bea, and with each other. Aurelia showed a great lack of judgment for Ben’s lifestyle, and also showed herself to be caring and giving. For being a billionaire, Ben was very down to earth, as well as sexy as all get out. I loved watching their love get stronger and seeing whether that new love could withstand the strains of searching for Bea’s mother, and finding out whether Bea was, indeed, Ben’s baby.

Call Her Mine is the first book in the Harmony Pointe Series. Some of the characters are familiar from the Sugar Lake Series but it is not necessary to read any other book before this one. Call Her Mine is the story of Ben and his best friend Aurelia. They both date other people but are drawn so much to each other that everyone except them knows that they are meant to be together.

There were times that I didn’t really love Ben. He called the baby “it” which drove me crazy. IT is a baby, a real live being. Yet, he stepped up, did what he had to do to keep the baby safe and happy. Very quickly you could see that he loved Baby B. He didn’t use her to keep Aurelia around, he didn’t push her off on anyone else to take care of. He changed his life, his routine, and his ways to keep his daughter happy, safe, and loved. Luckily, Aurelia felt the same way about both Baby B and Ben.


I look forward to more from Harmony Pointe. There are so many wonderful secondary characters that I am curious about. I’d recommend picking up Call Her Mine ASAP and meeting the wonderful characters that reside in Harmony Pointe.

We all have our favorite romance tropes. Friends to Lovers is one of mine and Call Her Mine is an good example of why I never tire of it. Readers are treated to a fun, sexy, and surprisingly emotional journey between two people who have been best friends since childhood and who have always harbored (secret) romantic feelings toward each other but have never acted upon those feelings. For Ben, it's always been bad timing (face it, Ben's timing truly sucks as do his reasons for a series of one-night stands), and they both fear that taking their friendship to the next level by declaring their feelings could potentially ruin what is their most treasured relationship. And then Foster tosses a major monkey wrench into their lives that turns everything upside down, strips them down emotionally and all those feelings come pouring out. What happens next is sexy, flirty, and laugh-out-loud funny, with an unexpected emotional twist that had the tears flowing but an HEA I could believe in.

Ben and Aurelia are good people I liked and cheered for but their journey isn't without its issues. Ben has spent the past several years dropping his pants at the drop of a hat and his reasons for all that meaningless sex made me angry. Man's got some growing to do - which he does - but not without a few cringe-worthy moments in the process where I would not have blamed Aurelia one bit for walking. The strength of this relationship is definitely tested.

Foster guides them forward with all the hiccups, humor, and sigh-worthy moments one would expect when two life-long friends finally reveal, and accept, the romantic feelings the entire flippin' town has known they've carried for one another for years. She's created a strong family - and community - around them that adds texture and richness to the story. I adore Aurelia's grandmother as well as Ben's family and will be searching out the books that tell his sisters' stories. I'm also here for all of the Harmony Pointe stories that follow this one.
